Yukari is one of the most interesting characters in gaming for me. I went from hating her to loving her to hating her to loving her. She's amazing and I'm glad I got to experience this growth of her personality in Persona 3 FES. I hope more people realise how interesting and multifaceted she is.
Basically in P3 Erebus was born cause humans yearned for destruction And in P4 Izanami decided to enshroud their world in fog cause humans were freaking curious and greedy. In other words...Curiosity killed the cat! ( almost lol )
Now that Persona 5 is a thing, I want to apply that game's logic here and a possibility for makoto's life again. What they did to yaldabaoth, basically get everyone to see what it, and by extension their desire is should be applied to Erebus yeah? Get everyone to acknowledge that it's a thing, get their approval and destroy Erebus cause that should then kill it for good? At least that's my understanding and simplifying it as to how it could work
Now that we all enjoyed the marvelous Persona 5 which is a little relatable with this situation, I hoped Persona 6 is about defeating the true villain, Erebus.
p-1 and p-2: Nyarlathotep tries to shroud the world in chaos cos of humanity's unconscious desire for chaos. P-3: Nyx tries to bring death to the world because of humanity's unconscious desire for death. P-4 Izanami wants to merge the shadow world with the human world because of humanity's unconscious desire for the unknown. Man all of these deities are just trying make things better for us and we just keep essentialy prank calling (summoning?) them to our plain because of bullshit selfish desires. And the most fucked up thing is that real humans (yes, us) all have a bit of these unconscious desires tucked away deep in our psyche...lurking. Talk about humans being the "real monsters".

So is it safe to say that P3 is what made the game well-known. cause I actually only got into the franchise after the P4 anime but I'm playing p3 so im not sure if it was well known before
Phusion Shark it was lol, p4 just made it even more popular. P3 did incredibly well in its own right, but p4 just added to that huge popularity. The whole megami tensei universe has always been gigantic in Japan, but the persona subseries only kept up in america around P3. However, SMT: Nocturne was really popular too.
Elijah Burnett It has more consistent writing because of the plot being simpler than P4's. P4's narrative was very well done in the first half of the game while the second half while not as good is still pretty good. P3 also hit on some more abstract existencial notes that P4 didn't (because of the themes and all). P4's characters hit me more personally than any of the Persona 3 cast and I like them way more, however P3 had some excellent character drama. You're definitely not the only who thinks P3 is underrated compared to P4.
+DuskShadowBrony (LittleShadowGames) Probably PCSX2 with backend enhancements. You can enable those in GS Core settings, but only in hardware rendering mode. You also need a very powerful computer to pull it off smoothly.

Thanks for posting this, I loved the 1st part of the game, but could never play "the answer", it was like hours of frustrating and mostly uninteresting fights for 5 minutes of real story and then restart the frustrating fights ! Doing this after the normal persona 3 with all the social links and stuff was just too boring ! So at least this way I know the story in "the answer", it was mostly what I thought, but very well done, thanks again ! :)
Yeah I think Metis is one of my most useful characters. She packs a punch in physical attacks, and her magic is not bad either, plus the fact that she has no weakness to elements.... Her Persona is what Shinji's could've been. Pain...
+Izabella Bowlds It's likely, Atlus sticks to similar voice actors and you can recognize them in other games. Hard to make a P3 to P4 connections, but other SMT games have easy to make comparisons.
Luis Nathaniel Samodio It's an attack that takes around 3 turns for it to charge. It should do around 400 damage damage to whole party, and it gets stronger each time he casts it. It will be canceled when you do 1000-1500 damage.
It's a shame they couldn't fit this into Persona 3 Portable, I just finished it up last night and my word that was a sad ending, I still feel as though it wasn't satisfactory however. Though I understand the whole relationship bonds message they're getting at, it's painfully irritating to go through over 70 hours of gameplay, building up these relationships and getting into character, only then to really drop it all away for the main character. I loved the game, but sadly for me the ending somewhat ruined the entire experience, it's comes across as a very unrewarding ending for the player after all that hard work and in terms of the main character, them going through building up their intelligence, charm and courage, building relationships, doing well on tests etc; it just comes across as utterly pointless and without meaning. Also as a side note, wish they'd drop the whole male main character thing and bring a proper female protagonist into this series, does it always have to be male, honestly it's boring. Also, it might just be me, but I feel the answer is still a big middle finger like the ending, feels as though it's just forcing a bit of a lame reason for the main characters death down your throat and you just having to accept that. The main character is barely out of their teens, plenty of living still to be had, I don't care what Atlus try to put forward, no one finds the reason behind life and fill a sense of life fulfillment at the bloody age of 17-18. The more I think about it, just feels more and more like they tried to write an ending that was really over-dramatic and not necessary. I'm not trying to cheer on always happy endings, sad endings are necessary for some stories, but I really don't think it is well suited to this game, it really does just render the players hard work and the main characters development throughout the entire game pointless. And meh it really itches at me seeing those scenes with the group minus the main character and them going on naturally, I know it's that whole they're getting on with life, but ugh when you go through 70 hours of playing the game and the main character is always hanging out with them and building stronger bonds, it's a real slap to the main character and the player for me, because it feels quite heartless toward the main character.
+JudgeMagisterPhoenix P3P is the only Persona game so far with a FMC. Maybe Persona 5 will grace us with that but I doubt it. As for their age, I think Minato was like 16..... still, its so sad I cannot even finish my game! Seriously, P4 seems like the only remotely happy game!
Blah, blah, blah!... The world should have just ended through Nyx. His sacrifice is pointless but in fact, he was really not the sacrificed one. He's beyond life and death and beyond suffering, they can't say the same about themselves. Because of their selfish and childish notions on life, humanity will keep on suffering. But Nyx is eternal and can always become strong enough to return once again.
No! Humanity has love! The Full Moon Bosses of Persona 3 were meant to represent thee darl side of humanity... But in every place there is a dark side, like the Full Moon Bosses, there is a good side, like the SEES team and the party members! They proved to Nyx that humanity wasn't all bad, and they saved it... Humanity might not care, but still... Love is the answer... And the social links of persona 3 further emphasize this.... In tarot, there's a card's meaning, and it's reverse meaning... The Full Moon Bosses were meant to represent the reverse meaning, while SEES and the social links represent the up-right one... That holds true, even for Nyx, and the Death Arcana she represents! The MC gave up his life to save humanity, and his teanmates, thus giving a sort of "meaning" to his life... SEES continue on his wish, by protcting humanity from itself... Byt man, Persona 3 can be hard to understand at times... I'm sorry, for everything... Hope you can have better days, and remember, some people go through the same thing at you... We're just very good at hiding them and creating shadows, apparently, but we all hold an "answer" deep down, we just gotta figure out how to tame and use it, to our own advantage, and that can sometimes mean having to letting it do it's thing, fully, so it can come to a realization (of course in the limits of your safety, and everybody around you), some people find solace, healing and life purposes in helping others.... Persona 4 explains it better... And, thinking about it, The Answer kind of foreshadows Persona 4 with Metis explaing that Shadows and Personas are the same thing... Sure hope it gets better for everyone around here, including me, and you! And i'm sorry for my thoughts, or if i seem rude...
Cause people actually WANT Nyx to come and kill us (though most people want it subconsciously). Dying is the easy way out in life.Makoto died to become a seal that keeps the death wish from reaching Nyx, so he can only be free if people stop wishing to die

I'm not trying to cheer on always happy endings, sad endings are necessary for some stories, but I really don't think it is well suited to this game, it really does just render the players hard work and the main characters development throughout the entire game pointless. And meh it really itches at me seeing those scenes with the group minus the main character and them going on naturally, I know it's that whole they're getting on with life, but ugh when you go through 70 hours of playing the game and the main character is always hanging out with them and building stronger bonds, it's a real slap to the main character and the player for me, because it feels quite heartless toward the main character.

As for their age, I think Minato was like 16..... still, its so sad I cannot even finish my game! Seriously, P4 seems like the only remotely happy game!

Blah, blah, blah!... The world should have just ended through Nyx. His sacrifice is pointless but in fact, he was really not the sacrificed one. He's beyond life and death and beyond suffering, they can't say the same about themselves. Because of their selfish and childish notions on life, humanity will keep on suffering. But Nyx is eternal and can always become strong enough to return once again.
No! Humanity has love! The Full Moon Bosses of Persona 3 were meant to represent thee darl side of humanity... But in every place there is a dark side, like the Full Moon Bosses, there is a good side, like the SEES team and the party members! They proved to Nyx that humanity wasn't all bad, and they saved it... Humanity might not care, but still... Love is the answer... And the social links of persona 3 further emphasize this....
In tarot, there's a card's meaning, and it's reverse meaning... The Full Moon Bosses were meant to represent the reverse meaning, while SEES and the social links represent the up-right one... That holds true, even for Nyx, and the Death Arcana she represents! The MC gave up his life to save humanity, and his teanmates, thus giving a sort of "meaning" to his life... SEES continue on his wish, by protcting humanity from itself...
Byt man, Persona 3 can be hard to understand at times... I'm sorry, for everything... Hope you can have better days, and remember, some people go through the same thing at you... We're just very good at hiding them and creating shadows, apparently, but we all hold an "answer" deep down, we just gotta figure out how to tame and use it, to our own advantage, and that can sometimes mean having to letting it do it's thing, fully, so it can come to a realization (of course in the limits of your safety, and everybody around you), some people find solace, healing and life purposes in helping others....
Persona 4 explains it better... And, thinking about it, The Answer kind of foreshadows Persona 4 with Metis explaing that Shadows and Personas are the same thing...

Cause people actually WANT Nyx to come and kill us (though most people want it subconsciously). Dying is the easy way out in life.Makoto died to become a seal that keeps the death wish from reaching Nyx, so he can only be free if people stop wishing to die

tj playsgame I know this comment is old but can’t the P5 cast change peoples hearts? I haven’t finished P5 yet but if they where able to do that on a large scale somehow. Then that would be just what the p3 protagonist needs to be free. I feel like there going somewhere with this.
