    Sr., as a science teacher and after having climatology classes in my post grad. I can only say that this is genius level demonstration with analogy + storytelling. I already said sometimes to students "imagine the atmosphere as we are all in a huge close air aquarium", and air pressure columns in a mountain and at sea level as similar to our crushing sensation in the ears as we go more than a couple of meters deep in a pool, but this is the cherry on top of all that analogy cake! 😂👏 Definitely subbed 👍

    I was waiting for the answer to what those pressures caused to happen in the weather hopefully you can make a video explaining that part as the video cut off because you went back to it.
    I'm guessing you were going to talk about rain in low pressure and dry in high pressure. But I think it'd be awesome using the tank to explain how and why that's the case. None the less this is a amazing video explaining pressure probably no definitely the best one I've seen as I was investigating it as pertaining to deer hunting. It's brought up a lot.

    • @christopherdever5536

      Hey Mark! Thanks for the comment. I am working on a new and more refined video that explains the weather part. I did kind of cut off since this was part of a series of lessons I was doing for my students. You are right that high pressure tends to be drier and clear (sunny). The air in high pressure regions generally contains less moisture initially and as it falls and warms it is able to absorb a lot of water vapor without clouds forming. On the other hand the rising air in the low pressure region generally already has more moisture in it. As it reaches the higher elevations in the atmosphere and cools it begins to condense (clouds) and precipitate (rain). Some people remember this with the statement "high/happy" and "low/lousy"
      I'm a bow hunter myself and it seems to me that on the days where the pressure is rising rapidly I see the most whitetail deer movement. Has that been your experience? Honestly I don't know why but I love being out on those days. Good luck and thanks for the feedback.

      This is true. Kind of counterintuitive, but the falling cooler and denser air results in clear skies which leads to solar warming. But it's a cause and effect and many people don't realize the cause that got it started. Here is a video I made to complete the lesson.

    A bit misleading when saying that it’s the air rising or falling that “causes” the high/low pressure.
    Rather the heating of the air causes it to expand, lowering its density and in turn causing it to rise. Now this expansion of the air/lowering of density will also mean that you have less air above you. Less air means less mass, which in turn means less weight pushing down on you. This is what lowers the pressure.
    And vice versa for high pressure. It’s the increase in density that cause more “stuff” to be above you pushing down.
    Otherwise beautiful illustration! Thanks for a great video!

    • @christopherdever5536

      Thanks for the comment. I'm working on a remake (of a remake) that will clarify that important point. My wording makes it sound like the pressure is due to the directional movement of the air. Then I got thinking though - from a physics standpoint - does the movement of the air molecules up vs down increase the high and low pressure? I would guess it is a small amount but I'm curious.
      Cheers!

    • @STEM-px4oi

      @@christopherdever5536 I was actually thinking about the same thing, and in principle I agree, there will be an effect from the movement of the air, ie the dynamic pressure. But considering the mass and velocity of the air colliding with you, I agree with you that this is likely negligible.

    In colder regions high pressure created
    In warmer regions low pressure is created
    Why the blue is going towards the red and why it's going beneath the red?
    -Because High pressure always attracts to low pressure.
    Low pressure zone has a warm air and high pressure has cold air, so cold air converged beneath the warm air because warm air is not so densed compared to cold air.
    Low pressure rises from Equator and sinks in subtropical low because cold winds from high pressure zone, collides with warm winds from low pressure zone and it is called hardelly cell.
    Ps- Assume tank mouth as the bottom of troposphere.
