My 4 yr old son asked me where wind comes from a couple of days ago. We started learning about it and we just did a couple of these experiments at our house with my other kids under 6. My kids LOVED it. Not sure if you can go wrong with eggs, water balloons and FIRE. Afterwords they said, "Wow, air is so cool!" THANKS for sharing this with us!
Thank you so much for this! I homeschool, and my kid was having some trouble understanding some things about air pressure. We found this video and it was perfect. He loves you and now wants to watch all of your videos. Thank you!

I just love your experiments. They are so simple and yet so Awesome!! My daughter and I enjoy and try them. Thanks for the knowledge and love for Science you are spreading.
This really Shock me... I was just 😲😲🤩🤩... And, I try it also at home... And the amazing thing is that.. It works... Thank you.. Very much for this video.. This really help me understand the air pressure...
In the class, I can t understand what my teacher said, i still can t understand what is air pressure after my teacher explain. But now i get it!! thank you so muchhh it help me a lot!!
We are glad you found this explanation helpful! Don't forget to subscribe as we have over 250 videos explaining science and making it easy for everyone. to learn. Thank you :)
I think it has to do with both air and gravity ; while the air is getting out of the bottle because of the heat , there is no more force acting on the egg than the gravity that makes its work , therefore the egg falls down.
*Sees him pull out candles* Me: Okay! I see what he's tryna do. I'll stop the video, I know what I'm doing. *I attach a lot of candles to the bottom to try to rocket thrust the egg into the bottle*

Better idea is to put the bottle into hot water then put the egg on top and rapidly cool the bottle using ice water. This can be used to crush cans but you need to put in the can opening down to close in the air. BE CAREFUL! This can be really dangerous. Do it with proper safety gear and proper care!

Hot air is lighter than cold air is because if air is hot the particles get bigger so into the bottle fits less air. Less particles equals less weight. The egg bounces because air is leaking out. When the air gets cold the particles shrink that means low pressure and that pushes the egg in the bottle.
It's also amazing that when you remove the egg out of the bottle there is some water that came out due to the combustion of C + H2 + 3O ----> H2O + CO2

I like how he's expressing confused frustration, while trying not to laugh, as it blows back at him xD I like the part with the egg and fire, super neato

Really Science is really cool . I wouldn't understand if I were not able to watch this.. It was really amazing and so much creative . Thank you Sir for giving the Coolest demonstration . Thank you very much
I was just baffled. How comes the air outside the bottle pushes the egg into the bottle? My teacher taught me that high temperature causes the air to expand. How come the warm air inside the bottle didn't push the the egg out of the bottle?

I took a bottle, placed a small piece of paper and blew air. Guess what happened. Science worked just like in this video. It's depressing to realize that I have spent 10000 dollars for my school and college and didn't understand the basics. I wasted 20 years of my life. I'm pretty sure an 8-year-old can understand this video. Thanks a lot.
Could someone explain to me more in depth on why the hot air wants to leave the bottle? My first thought was that hot air rises, but when he did it upside down it confused me, because I would just assume the air would stay at the top (bottom of the bottle) having nowhere to go. Thank you :)
I always thought and felt like this was all or at least mostly vacuum pressure from no air i never thought of air pushing like that. 😮 and i seen this experiment before ad a kid !

Best egg in the bottle demo i've seen so far: superbly explained
The candle part of the demo is pretty slick-- I'd never seen that before!
You make science really fun! You are the best scientist in the world. This is from an 8 year old in NY
I teach science at a homeschool co-op. I need this guy to come do demos!!!!

Very useful for science teachers. I am already useing your experiments in my teaching learning. Thanks a lot.
All the best
did anyone notice we learn everything on utube more then school
Yes afk
School sent me here
yep I just teach myself everything
Yeah, but school introduced you about this before . And this is why you are here..
If you have studied with concentration in school, you would have correctly spelled youtube.
You are my new Science Teacher

I LIKED IT. ITS VERY USEFUL
THANK YOU FUNSCIENCEDEMOS
This was our class video assignment and it was so cool to see about air thanks for the video it was so cool
Excellent demonstration !
Really a cool experiment to demonstrate what air pressure is all about. Will add up in my demo lab. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Great videos! My grandsons were very intrigued!

can someone explain why the egg was pushed into the bottle
Great idea.I am schooling online
Thank you for your nice demonstration helped my learning
I'm a senior in high school why is my teacher making me watch this. I'm definitely not its target audience.
Still, good video.
I’m in middle school and your doing this in high school ok 👌
That makes no sense still was a good video.
I’m in 4th grade and I understand it just fine
I’m advanced 😉

sir in 5:45 in that time heated air try to get out to the bottle but the egg goes in how?
This is great. I can see the first egg was raw. Was the second a boiled egg or a raw egg?
This channel is sick awesome I don't where that was all thattt timee!thanks a lot for making those awesome and easy to understand videosss thankuuu
California surfer / science dude.
Totally science rules
is there a connection to land breeze and sea breeze when the egg like the wind?
The second egg is a cooking egg yes or no?
I was sick so I couldn't go to school so my mom sent me the link to this so I'm watching what they did in science class

Right science is so cool
Is it air "pushing" or air sucking?
this helped me so much that I was school first in science if anything science I raise my hand ur the best thanx
glad to help!

We tried egg experiment, kids could not succeed but loved the experiment, seems the bottle top should be proper to match egg size 😊
Thanks for sharing that!! We hope you enjoyed doing the experiment :)

That's awesome!
Good explanation
I have a question tho does the gravity help the egg get into the bottle???
Atmospheric pressure increases sound decreases, motion sickness?
this is very good
Awesome demonstrations
thanks for good and fun explanation
this is very cool
I have a question. Why the air come out of the bottle when you put fire in it?
cuz when you heat air it rises
Thanks for experience l try this but l can't do it would you please help me
This is really cool

Thank you for this demo! Can I ask: did you use hard boiled eggs for this without the shell? it's hard to tell rom the video
I was curious too

Dude you did it good
sir where are you from
Thank you for sharing this lesson

is the egg boiled?

Air is made of 20% oxygen when the oxygen burns it create 20% vacuum. That is what sucks the egg in.
Guys, I think I found Chandlers dad.
do you boil the egg
Yes, we did. Thanks for learning and spreading science! Rosa
is it a boiled egg

really good man

Warm air expands, "pushing" some of the air out of the bottle. As it cools, it contracts -- this drops the pressure inside, more pressure outside.
Marvellous!!!!!
how could u dislike the video, it explained everything so clearly
All the dislikes were from hard-boiled eggs
thanks
IT helped me in my science homework

Amazing and awesome
Now I'd like to see HowToBasic do that
Yo Jared is basically Com. Riker from Star Trek
Why doesn't the egg break when it's forced/pushed into the bottle ?
This guy seems like he would be fun to party with
Sir you used raw egg or boiled egg
