Just bought this today at a local shop. My first every RC anything. Drove it in the back yard. I am surprised how fast it goes in high gear. I am a 73 year old kid. I live in Phoenix, Very hot, 109 today. Have to wait til Oct to get out and play. Beautiful detailed unit. The store talked me out of buying the Arrma Kraton 6S. I am glad they did, this so much more manageable for my first car.
One cant stop aging, but we can stop ourselves from getting old. Cheers!

I have recently decided to get into RC cars again. I was into it as a child (obviously a lot has changed) but now with a grandson coming of age over the next few years i thought this was something awesome he and I could get into. He just loves cars and trucks. After watching 3 or 4 videos now on this Bronco I am pretty certain this will be my first. Thanks for this video. As an Alabama football fan, red will be my obvious choice!
I love crawlers as you do not need wide open spaces and you can take them on walks!
And you’re not always breaking them!
And if you live somewhere with a bunch of hills, like me, you can test their abilities easily!

Never owned one but I am so into the new Bronco and since the TRX4 platform is supposedly good, think I'll be picking one of these up! I also want to get into the fast trucks like the slash but for now a crawler seems like good fun. Could take one on a hike and make it a bit more fun
Traxxas won't speed things up and deliver the Blazer I've had on order since forever but they sure get these promos out to the TH-cam reviewers super quick. Seems like a slap in the face to buyers if you ask me.
It’s production line schedules. They’re not making Blazers every day or week or probably even every month with all the different cars they offer. It sucks not having your order but production schedules are planned long in advance. Hang in there, wish I had a Blazer in my collection. 🙂
The windshield wipers are so real, but the only thing is: It can be customize, with automatically with electronics. (A+)🏗️☕🔥🤨
It’s an RC model, so the only limitations is ones wallet. 😂

Beautiful Bronco body. I want this. After hearing all your enthusiasm for this truck, I want it BAD! The TRX4 is well established as a great platform, but I never really wanted one that bad. Driving my Axial 10iii JLU warmed me up to portal axles though. This Bronco body was just what the TRX4 needed to push me over the edge to "want" status. The price tag is significant though, so I won't be first in line to buy, but hopefully one day.
Last year, I was on a hunt for the orange Blazer. Came out empty, but glad it did! Cyber yellow it is! Or what ever my lhs has in stock😁

see a whole lot less spare tire hang ups. Defender body is great looking and really adds to the scale driving requirement, even the 1st Bronco and the Blazer were better for performance.. this though.. wow.
I ve watched this review and the axial scx10 111 for times each one as I could nt decide between this and the axial gladiator.

Awesome review as always, Greg. It sure looks good. And that clipless body mounting system is awesome! In a perfect world I would have loved to see a lighter tint on the windows with an interior and driver and also with the light kit installed. But still a cool truck for sure. Thanks :)
You’re missing out, just buy the car and the traxxas light kit and you’ll find it worth every dollar (lol)
AWESOME!!! I hope they come out with a 1/12 or 1/18 scale version. I would like something a little more portable, but this is very tempting!
If you haven't seen already, the TRX4m is coming out in about a week, it's a 1/18 scale.
Traxxas really gives the people what they want, Matt did an awesome job on his review but I don’t think anyone goes as far in depth as you do Greg. Great work as always....beautiful rig on a tried and true platform that can take some serious abuse.

Anyway. A serious question. Why did a previous trx4 jump so high in price about the same time this version was almost available? Just wondering.

Top notch review, top notch videography, top notch channel. Here is my issue though, not with you. I think Traxxas and Ford are missing out on a great opportunity by having this on the dual solid axle drivetrain. This should have come out with IFS in the front to match the real deal, along with something higher end in the shock department to benefit higher speed running. Ford should have stipulated in the license agreement to push Traxxas to develop a drivetrain that matches the real deal, good for both crawling and a little desert running type action, something new and interesting. Some may even see what Ford is doing with this as a little deceiving, almost like false advertising.
I agree it would have been cool to see an IFS setup on it. But it’s also easier to say than to do. There’s probably a number of factors behind why they didn’t. Some guesses; maybe they’re not sure the RC masses want IFS yet, maybe they don’t feel IFS would adapt well to their current chassis. Maybe it wasn’t cost effective to do for one vehicle. Who knows maybe it will happen someday as a conversion? I can’t say for sure but in the meantime they did give us a highly detailed rig.
Awesome review Greg.. Bronco looks amazing.! One would assume the body on this has a lot lower CG without the roof rack etc and the height of landrover body...

I took a New Bright Bronco 1/6 body from Walmart and put it on my stampede. So yeah I had the first Traxxas Bronco😁
Spent lot's of time going back and forth Ford 😂 just for the body. Traxxas should have upgraded other parts too...Motor, ESC, servo, diffs.etc.
It looks great don't get me wrong but should have done the way Redcat did it with the AXE Edition Gen 8. A great truck, it has flaws but translates as a truly upgraded model and trickled down to the V2 Gen 8 model.
Not good enough Traxxas...I love my TRX-4 Defender, keeping that for a long time.

I would like to own this NEW Traxxas but, the problem is, I own 2 TRX-4 Sports, 2 TRX-4 Defenders, 2 TRX-4 Mercedes Benz G500, 2 TRX-4 Chevy Blazers and a TRX-6.
At some point, I have to say-ENOUGH. I also have 2 X-MAXXs, 2 MAXXs, and a Bandit Plus another 12 crawlers of other makes. Do I really need another crawler.....YES!

That's a lovely looking TRX4 body. Traxxas really did put in the effort and it shows. Look at the window wipers! Body tab locking system is a game changer!! Not sure when we will see them in the UK but I hope it's soon.
I have a heavily modded trx4 defender with shortened wheelbase and metal gear servos and high torque servos. Different tires and wheels, different body and shocks. But I kinda want to get this just to have a new stock truck plus that body is very nice.
Modded trucks are cool, but there’s something about wheeling a new stock rig too that’s just fun.

irl the Bronco is too small for my taste as is my 98 grand cherokee. cool off road features with the bronco but id rather have a Land Cruiser. at the moment im working on buying a suburban 2500 4x4. as for the TRX4 id rather have a TRX6. imo its worth saving for.

I'm kind of bias when it comes to the bronco because I owned an 89 Bronco 2 with the 2.9ltr in it. Although it was piss poor weak, I loved that thing. Just so happens a deer decided to commit suicide and ended up killing his self and my Bronco but back to the TRX4. They pretty much nailed it right on the head. I mean this thing is so amazing. I thought about getting back into R/C but wow, they have gone up in price since my time. I could use some help. Are all of these new R/C vehicles this high or is there something out there for the basically beginner all over again and i'm not talking about those cheap walmart crappy slow trash. I do luck up and see one every once in a while out there that makes me think but i'm one of those type people who has to be completely sold on it before I buy it especially for the amount of money they cost today. Thing is i'm having health issues and I'm looking for a hobby, one of my old one's to get back into. Money really shouldn't be an object at this point because they're not even sure about the timeline which is fine with me. A person isn't suppose to know when they are to the next journey we all will take one day so if anyone could help me out on just a good place to shop and and a good R/C for the money rather it be land, air or water. Now you have to get a friend to drive the lifted bronco and compare the new one to the older one.
It's not so stunning when you realize there's no switches to turn things on or off except the ESC
You're going to have a build a switch bank if you want things on or off and not drawing standby power.
No battery disconnect switch either.
Traxxas knows how to provoke me. lol
Traxxas body price is the biggest drawback, combined with not fully forward motor placement. If I had one and the body cracked it wouldn't be replaced with stock body. Proline and other aftermarket body manufacturers may not get access to the mounting system. Motor behind front axle is what I didn't like with my first generation scx10. Tires would throw dirt into the brushes on my motor until it wouldn't get power. I often had to push it to get pushes to connect with rotor. I want motor over front axle to eliminate this issue since I drive a lot in sand.
I just want the fenders and body for my current trx4.

what a shame, Traxxas did it again using the 12.8 chassis & the 4 door!! This could of been so good on the 12.3 with the New 2 door Bronco body , too bad Axial couldn't of got the license for this body .

Has anyone tried successfully to remove the window tint on this Bronco to get clear windows?
Crap! I forgot to add. Clear windows are great, But they should have put an interior in it while doing this. Just my opinion and still excited.

How did it perform compared to the sport? Handling wise. The sport isn't as top heavy as the defender but how's this?

Greg, they are actually 'GTS" shocks not "GTR".
The real bronco has IFS. Why not include that in this model? Hopefully they just sell the body since it's on the same trx4 platform
I like the solid axels. If I can gen a gen 3 Tacoma body for this chassis I’ll swap mine out.

I “think” Traxxas likes to give hobby shops some time to take pre-orders before opening it up to on-line. Unfortunately not everyone has a local shop to pre-order from. Just a guess though.
