Adventure-ready Traxxas TRX4 Sport High Trail: Review & Run

- This rig is decked out and ready for your next adventure! Today, we're taking a look at the new @Traxxas TRX4 Sport High Trail. The Sport edition is a more streamlined version of the TRX4 platform (no 2-speed, no unlocking diffs), but still comes with a lot of cool features including the "High Trail" 1" lift and 2.2 wheels. In this video, we talk about the features, add a few custom touches, and take it to my favorite kitesurf beach for the maiden run. Also stoked to pick up a new GoFast Camper that we're planning to build out for taking on more RC adventures.

My favorite beach is in Sonoma County, where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. I found my redwood walking stick there in 2016. Such a great little campground and an awesome old cabin by the sea.
A TRX-4 Sport started my RC addiction in 2019. IMHO this High Trail addition is its perfect evolution. And when comparing what I paid for mine in 2019 and what you now get for only $100 more it makes me envious of today's cost-conscious, trepidatious neophyte.

My wife n i always go to tar hollow state park, ohio to go camping. In fact we are going next weekend. It's great. They have an awesome creek for my crawlers, a lake f9r swimming, boating and fishing. Its our favorite place in the world

@@jdsrcs8061 It's kind of like a hard wax coating. Learned it from some of the gunpla modelers, they use it as a semigloss top coat. Just apply a bunch of coats any let dry (it's self leveling). Doesn't need reapplying. Smells nice too 😊

🏖 your videos remind me of my Califorina years and my days of hanging out at Torrance State Beach .....(only cause my girlfriend would drag me down there) 🤣🤣 But I love crawling by any body of water ....... love all the hobbies which everyone should have .... I wish there was 48 hours in each day as I have way to many hobbies!!
Hi RC Girl. I ordered my Sport in 2018 before they were released. So I had mine right when it was released. A month ago I ordered the High Trail Edition before it was released, so I got it when it was released. I prefer the Sport version. I like the simplicity of locked diffs and one speed. Plus I can run the trucks on my Futaba radios. I didn't trick out my original Sport, beyond all new electronics and totally upgraded drive system. But my new High Trail Sport I am going to upgrade it more. I have already replaced all electronics, including the Hobbywing 2-in-1 system you made a video about. Plus I totally upgraded the drive system. Thanks for all the TRX4 videos you have made, they gave me some good ideas on my rigs. Take care.

Avila Hot Springs in Avila Beach. Hey RCGirl, my daughter and I built an 18th scale course at Avila Hot Springs. We're just south of San Luis Obispo. AHS is a campground, heated pool/ hot spring and spa. Please come check it out. It would be a cool episode.

Santa Cruz is beautiful, but my favorite beach is in Cabarete Dominican Republic. Amazing kite beach and super friendly community. Great job on the 3d board. Keep up the awesome content.

Love your videos. I have 2 trxs then bought the brown high trail. Beautiful trucks until I read the red sticker on the esc lead. No other company's will ever do that. Kinda a bummer. Thanks for the video though, fun stuff. Sunset Beach in Charleston oregon is awesome,and you just drove right by it. Next for sure. Thats a great beach.

Great video, I just got one of these a couple of days ago, and I already want to upgrade the shocks. Curious what your recommendation would be? Trying to make it a more capable crawler/trail rig.
I really like the "topo-graphics"! Such a good look! Do you find the springs on the TRX4 Sport edition are a little stiff? The truck seems to lift wheels instead of articulating. Maybe because the truck is light with a shorter wheelbase?
Some of my favourite beaches are along the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Canada. Secluded rocky shorelines, with clear cold water... 👍

How is it a clipless body with 2 sets of clips that you unclip?
Body clips/pins aren't needed on this model like most rc bodies...
@@mtnmyke I know how the body clips on. I have 3 Trx4s and 2 Trx4ms. In the video she states it is a CLIPless body and goes on to say to unCLIP the 2 CLIPS. It’s not a clipless body. It’s a body postless body with stealth clips in each wheel well. That you unclip and clip the body on and off of.
