    One thing that I didn't hear is to consider weather conditions. Consider this when storing as well. If in cold conditions you may need to keep batteries warm and a charge on them when in storage. This is the recommendation for carts in MN.

    One thing I would add is that the double a arm suspension that club car uses handles a lot better on the road and at high speed then the E-Z-Go or Yamaha solid axle. I know you can buy a lift kits for all of the carts that will put a arms on but the club car comes that way if you don't want to do a lift.

    • @goldenlife9856
      @goldenlife9856 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stock cables on a Club Car are way too small. I put 2/O welding cables on mine and it made a huge difference in speed and torque. The stock cables are fine for riding around on a golf course but if you want to use the thing you need to do the upgrade. And if you can make the cables yourself you'll save a huge amount of money or just crimping terminals and putting on heat shrink

    I’m new to golf carts. Went to a store that sells new and refurbished. One had a lot of play in the steering wheel. I told my wife just like a car , it has an issue with the steering. The salesman said he would have it tightened up. I raised the BS flag. My question is “how long do these electric motors last.what are the replacement cost for and ergo motor?

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oem motors can last for 30+ Years. Its like anything and how you take care of it. Usually the gasoline engines on golf carts wear out faster. The replacement cost of electric motors can be had from $350 and Up. You can do an AC swap for like $1800 give or take and will give you a new motor with controller. The ac swaps will give you more adjustability, speed, torque and security. I have videos on fixing the steering play on club car golf carts but I will say that play in the steering shaft is usually a worn out tie rod or steering knuckle. There isnt much to the steering on golfcarts since its manual and could replace all 4 tie rod ends for about $50. This goes back to the you can build a cool cart with upgraded features how you want for the same as you could buy a refurbished cart with mostly stock parts from a dealer. Also when you build the cart, You will take pride in doing it and learn so much. Then if anything goes wrong, you can fix it. I have a bunch on golf cart videos, Its my hobby!

    • @curtchase3730

      I hear ya, crazy 4 sure, BUT, there are a bunch of factors involved. Supply/Demand. Not as many carts made as Ford Ranger's. Niche' market. Carts were made to drive on turf, Ford Ranger's, not so much. Can't park my old Ranger in my garden shed either. I know, I went to our "local" cart dealer. Everything in showroom priced from $6500-15,000! So it goes. They had some early 2000's Club Cars, gas out in the back lot that looked quite sad. Even those (project carts) going for over $4000.00 cash/carry off lot! Nuts.
