I'd love to add more videos to this series. I'll try. :) Do you have the link to the playlist? All my videos are here: englishwithjennifer.com/students/yt-videos/ Take care, Tim.
From Brazil, Aecio here.Your lesson is really useful and helpful as usual. I love your lessons. They help me to improve my English skills and I thank you for that and If I have made mistakes, I feel strongly sorry. Bye.
Oh! There is another thing I really envy you about, teacher! Lol! It's your ability to type very fast using your computer keyboard. Your amazing rapidity of typing as well as your ability to avoid making typos really impressed me! I really wish I were like you! Personally, I started using computer more than 11 years ago but I still type as slow as a turtle so far! What if I tell you how many mistakes I make when I try to type rapidly like what you do?! Then, what I would type might be considered as Chinese not in English...lol! You might say that Nadim is too envious, teacher. But, I really say it without any compliment :) A fantastic video lesson as always, teacher! Best regards! Nadim.
+Nadim Guevara Okay, Nadim. You caught me! I have to edit out my mistakes. If I do a typo, I restart the whole sentence and then edit out the mistake. I wanted to create a smoother reading experience. I'm happy I took a typing class in high school. I learned to touch type and not look at the keyboard. :)
+Andrea Giraldo MD Again, these are all best practices in my own opinion. I find most of my friends and colleagues follow the same patterns, but ultimately it's each writer's own decision. I think choosing a format that's easy to read is important. Take care, Andrea.
+Júlio César Lima de Sousa Hello Júlio! I'm happy to share my tips. In the end, you'll each decide what to take away and apply. My goal is to provide a lot of models and share some clear tips to help you become familiar with writing that's appropriate for almost all email.
Dear Mam, Your work could not be appreciated in words, I could not to put ocean in glass put single drop of ocean have the same taste as full ocean has. We will always be obliged to yoµ You have put in, for educating us Without you, we would have been lost. Thank you teacher for guiding us, inspiring us. Thanks......... Best wishes..............................
I just loved your channel and the way you speak. Thank you so much. The most value is to know that you are going to answer my comment. Thank you! Bruno from Brazil.
+Bruno de Oliveira Hello Bruno! Indeed, I do try to respond to everyone. :) Sometimes comments get lost or hidden from view. YT can work in funny ways. I'm happy you'll be following this series. You will, won't you? Take care.
+Yngwaa Jaa Great question! We're going to talk about greetings and closings soon! There will be quite a number of lessons on email because there's much to talk about. In short, Dear is generally more formal. Hi is friendly and informal. But I can use "Dear" with close friends because they truly are dear to me. Like a best friend from high school...I may greet with "Dear Sonya,"
Hi Jennifer, I noticed that in this video you used a full stop/period when closing the email: Thanks. Talk soon. However is the other videos it was shown that a comma should be used.
The first model was more formal. A proper closing phrase was chosen and a comma followed: Best wishes to you all, In the second model, the tone is friendly and less formal. No formal closing is used. Thanks is merely the final statement. Some will use "Thanks," as a closing. I usually don't. In any case, you need to be prepared for some variation. However, in more formal email, I recommend a more standard closing with a comma: Best, Regards, Kind regards, etc.
+Dunyo Abdikarin Hello Dunyo! Thanks for studying with me today. Now that we've covered the parts, we'll start learning some useful phrases in the next lesson.

Hi Jennifer. What do you write when you address a group of your coworkers, including seniors and bosses? Because I usually write 'dear all', but I still feel there could be a better expression.
+Mohamed Farouk Hi Mohamed. We'll get into greetings soon. I would write "Hello everyone," and that's okay in an email. I've seen "Dear colleagues," before. See you at the next lesson. Take care.
