I couldn't agree more with tip 6. My youngest daughter has been approached by a big and thriving company through LinkedIn in France. I don't know if it works all around the world but it's more than effective in Europe.
Hi Jennifer. Very useful advice! Things have changed, isn't it? These days every job application goes through the HR or company recruiters. Less formal emails replace the cover page and Resume is attached. Thanks for showing it on a big screen.
Hi Roland. Some still submit a cover letter along with their resume, but I think these days, there's little time for all the past formalities. My resume in the past was always over one page, but that's a big no-no in 2018. If they like the highlights on your one-pager, you'll get an interview and you can share more details then. My husband says that as a recruiter, he likes to read bulleted lists.
Hi Jennifer. Sorry to bother you. I was dealing always with job agencies. 40 contract jobs so far makes the Resume a bit long. I guess your husband working for a marketing company where numbers matter. Was interesting to see how he's searching for HR's (human resources). I worked on projects design, so which companies, duration and involved in the job are important. That's the bulleted list to catch some important points. What was interesting about your lesson that on the same day 11/22 I received an email from the Agent with a very similar style in 2018. Copy, Paste: Hi, 22/11/2018 4.37 PM I hope you're well. I'm reaching out as we are working on a couple of permanent roles in Sydney that match your profile and may be of interest to you. What a coincident! Totally out of touch. American style from an unknown person, but it will come here soon.
Hi. You can always shorten that long list of 40 jobs to something like "Independent Contractor" and then list the main responsibilities you had and any outstanding performances you can quantify. My husband works with start-ups and they're big on sales and company growth. Top-level executives are expected to produce impressive results. I love the coincidence. Thanks for mentioning it. :) I hope professionally you remain happily employed and very productive! Good luck to you.
That's great timing then. :) I have other lessons in the email playlist that are less formal. You can take a look at the link in the video description. I think it's useful practice to look at one another's models and discuss variations. Happy teaching!
again my great teacher you prove that i have made you as a model role for all ultimate goals in my whole life was not a wrong decision ,,, i have a bit question please have you made any video about the most common question in interview (introduce yourself ) if you haven't please guide me to a perfect video for this please
In Spain people interest in searching an employment send a "Curricum Vitae" with a letter explaning more particulars and asking for a personal interview.
This used to be my job, Jennifer. I used to teach people how to write letters to employers as well as writing the curriculum vitae for job searchers. I was much more interested in teaching though, especially when I discovered that many searchers required help with their English and Math.
Really? Well, of course, you know I'm biased. I love teaching, so I think you made the right choice. Ha ha. I'm glad I can tap into my husband's expertise and build this series on email a bit more. There are a few other messages I'd like to model. Feel free to chip in and suggest other useful phrases. :)
@@Englishwithjennifer There were so many guidelines we had to adhere to when getting the job searchers digitally-equipped. Firstly we had to get them an email account (we always chose Yahoo) and then it was then the case of writing out their cover letter and CV. It always began with a blank page and ended with a professionally composed advert for each of the job searchers. I really can't add to what you both advised in this video as you gave some pretty sage advice.
I'll likely add another video on email/job searches. There's a bit more to cover and more to suggest. I'll need to think about more situations one could face and the types of email one might need to send.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you so much. I've a question for you. What's the meaning of "reaching out"?
To REACH OUT means to contact someone or to get in touch with someone. Good question!
I'm scared my Email won't look professional or make any sense. I usually personally go to the company/site and talk about apprentaships or a job but I read at where I want to apply for is unlikely to do that and emailing them is the best way. It's a Day care for dogs / Hotel for dogs
It's definitely good to do some research before an interview. What a fun line of work you're in!
What a sweet treat! Enjoy your Thanksgiving feast!
I'm going to have a small bite now. I ate a big meal at noon. Now it's time to eat light!

please advise can I use madam for addressing all females regardless of being married or not
