    I remember learning about Dubai in my 7th grade Geography class two years ago. It was my favorite lesson I ever learned so far in the history of my whole School life. I wish I could go back and learn the Dubai lesson again.

    So scared! Travelling from Australia to Orlando, stopping at Dubai on the way!!! Both are big airports, but I'm glad connecting flights are not as bad as the final destination processes!

    The official site says: "rains run frequently from DXB Terminals 1 and 3, with both stations on the Red Line. The Red Line runs from 5 AM to midnight, Monday to Thursday; 5 AM to 1 AM (the next day) on Friday; 5 AM to midnight on Saturday and 8 AM to midnight on Sunday". • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Once you arrive in Dubai from incoming flight, go to the nearest transfer desk (Open one) in Arrival area. Transfer desk will check your boarding pass and Checked-in luggage tags. You will go through security and the on shuttle bus (transit) which runs between between T3 and T2.
      If needed ask help at transfer desk.
      Hope this info helps! Happy Travels! 🙂

    Is it necessary to collect checked baggage if connecting to another flight and recheck the bag?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, usually your bags are checked till your final destination at your first departure Airport. Checked bags will automatically transfer to your next International flight at connecting Airport. You just need to transfer (go through security again) with your Carry-on bag/s to the next gate at connecting/transit airport. Make sure you check with the Agent at the Check-in Counter when you check-in your bags at the departure airport as this auto bag transfer usually require ONE PNR ticket.

    Hello. I am flying Emirates from Johannesburg to Brisban via Dubai 3 June 2019. I was told my luggage will automatically be transferred to the Emirates flight to Brisbane. How do I go about going from the airplane to the next Terminal?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Once you deplane at Dubai Airport...follow big Orange/Red Signs for "Connections" (shown in the video).
      Go to the connection area (many areas available in arrival section) with your onward boarding pass (given to you at Johannesburg with your first flight boarding pass) and go through security to enter departure level. There will be someone available to help with directions to your next flight at/after security (or when you deplane in Dubai). Screens displaying Flights departure gates, time and terminal will be also there after security. Most probably your Dubai Arrival and Departure flights will use Gates at Terminal 3 as your flying Emirates.
      Hope this Info is helpful! Happy Travels!

    Can you go from Arrivals to Departure in Terminal 1 at DXB?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you trying to connect (transit) to another flight inside the terminal 1?
      If answer is YES, then follow the signs for connections inside the terminal once you land to get to your connecting flight at Dubai Airport. No need to go to Immigration,Customs and Baggage Claim (Passport Control) to enter Dubai.
      Now, In case you are looking for directions from Arrival Hall (after getting out of Terminal 1 by passing through Immigration and Customs... basically you are now in Dubai officially) to Departure level then follow the sign to Departure Check-in Counters from Arrival Hall. You can definitely go from Arrival level to Departure level at most Airports.
      Reach out to Information Desk or ask Airport staff if any help is needed!

    I am a Canadian citizen so i need to go to Visa holder line or visa on arrival if i am staying there for 3 days?
    Also on my way back i will be travelling from pakistan so i have a connected flight to Toronto from Dubai. So once i arrive at Dubai Airport Terminal 3, I need to go Terminal 1 to get to a flight to Toronto.
    So after getting out of the plane what steps do i need to follow to go to Terminal 1 from Terminal 3?

    • @Hipfig
      @Hipfig  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First off when you land in Dubai go to the visa on arrival line/section for your 3 day stay.
      Airport staff is there at Dubai Airport immigration lines to direct you to the correct line.
      On second question about transiting from terminal 3 to 1, Once you get off the Airplane follow the Connections signs (Red/Orange signs). Go to the nearest open connection counter area for transfer. Go through the security at connections/transfer area and then either walk or take the Automated people mover to the terminal 1. We suggest checking with Airport staff at the connection counter for the fastest way to get to your gate at terminal 1.
      Hope this information is helpful! Have a good trip!
      Happy Travels!
