I'm South African, when I first travelled to Dubai and saw the amount of Muslims at McDonalds I was shocked. I never realized they didn't have halal McD in the UK. Almost every restaurant in SA is halal despite it being a majority Christian country. I really took that for granted.

South Africa and similar countries are great like that. Unfortunately in many western countries the main chains do not do halal food. However it’s slowly starting to change. For example in the uk many kfc branches are now halal. Hopefully it’s the trend. But yeah got to have a halal McDonald’s when abroad! 😂

If yall want cheap coffee, hot drinks, use rhe vending machines located in and between the stores as opposed to the coffee shops which are 3-5 times the prices

I always find that when flying east I always end up flying emirates as they seem to have the best prices therefore it’s inevitable that I’ll end up back at Dubai at some point.

Great video, hoping to visit Dubai this year. Would love to see more tips on how to get the most out of your money when booking flights and hotels. It's so damn expensive now as we come out of the pandemic, I'd argue travelling is for people who really can afford it now. Before the pandemic it was much cheaper to travel.

Check out my other video on how to get to Dubai from the uk for £29 one way. For hotels generally I start with trivago which is a good comparison site. But you’re right travel has become more expensive. Hoping this changes as the price of fuel eventually returns back to normal…hopefully.

@@TheTravelTipsGuy You are most welcome. I liked your comments that nothing was free and as my dear old grandfather used to say your best friend in life is your bankbook!!😊 He had had a very hard life starting work at the age of 12. If you have money in your bank book everybody wants to know you - as in Dubai airport but if you have no money they all want to disown you!! He said this in the early part of the 20th century and it still applies to the 21st-century as well - as you have pointed out!

There is an area that has some fixed recliners but its not very cushiony so not sure if I'd class it as comfortable. If you want some comfort and don't want to spend too much then I'd recommend looking for a cheap way to get in a lounge. You can often get free passes with some credit cards.
