    I love your approach to this! I know Daria was the one who put this concept on TH-cam, but Vivienne Files has been doing this for at least a decade. She has a really cool "Start with art" series where she builds a wardrobe outfit by outfit over 12 months based on a set of six paintings.

    I literally cannot believe that this is a free Yt video. All the stuff in here is so valuable and so interesting that I feel like I should be paying you. This is definitely so detailed, and I feel so lucky to have found you. This is hands down the most interesting video I've seen in months in the fashion industry! Great job! ❤

    Where did you come from!!?? You are slaying TH-cam with these unique approaches to all sorts of style systems. Your skills are really off the charts. And you pack sooo much into each video. I’ll have to watch this five times to truly take it all in. I’m just in awe of your talent. Thank you!! 🌺🌺

    You slayed this yet another video! Very useful and helpful information 💖 The capsule was beautiful 💫🌌🌙 The only thing that may have improved this IMO is that I think someone with a 🪨 root needs at least one pair of sneakers in their casual WFH capsule 🙂

    • @MiliVelikova
      @MiliVelikova  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ohh I 100% agree with this! The two main reasons I didn't include it are: 1. I personally don't like to wear sneakers when the temperature drops, I feel like I need my ankles covered by an ankle boot 😅 and 2. I forgot 😂

    Such a beautiful work, Mili! Loved it, thank you!
    I've been thinking about your method of building a capsule wardrobe and it is the most comprehensive and useful I've even seen, I love your attention to individuality. I'd just like to share an experience that might be helpful for your work. Do you know the YT channel Style Thoughts by Rita? Rita has this insightful "essence-based" style system which is more about clarifying four different style logics (supported by inspiration archetypes). She develops a Cartesian plane for style haha. Anyway, the thing is I just recently realized that capsule wardrobes hardly work for me (even with your amazing method) because of a very specific trait from the "up" quadrants of Rita's system: I have an "outfit-based" style. This means that I can get easily overwhelmed by too much mix and match, and I prefer to have available complete outfits (including jewelry) to choose from. What I realized as a consequence of this trait is that, while building a capsule wardrobe, I must firstly choose some complete outfits for the season, and just then I can fill the gaps with pieces that allow a little bit of extra variety. And as I'm in the "left-up" quadrant (Rita calls it Amethyst quadrant), I must choose seasonal outfits which I'm *excited* to wear. If I don't do this, I'll simply ignore the boundaries of my capsule and pick up pieces I want to wear from the suitcase where I keep the rest of the clothes. Of course that my capsules are not as cohesive as the ones you build and they might have "too many" pieces for relatively few outfits. But this doesn't have to be a problem if you are also a person who likes to rewear the same "perfect" outfits again and again.
    So this is something you might take into account as well :))

      @@leticiapalazzo2957 ohhh thank you so much for sharing Leticia! I love Rita, and I think this is such an insightful explanation of the left up essence, it just makes so much sense! I would completely understand how it starts with the excitement around certain outfits, but you feel amazing in them so you don't need to mix and match, you can rewear them! So great! I think mine is right down (kinda in the middle of up down) so you can imagine it's probably quite different 😅 Thank you once again, I'll see if I'd be able to incorporate Rita's keys into a video at some point, as I love the system!

    • @leticiapalazzo2957
      @leticiapalazzo2957 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm happy that makes sense haha!! And thank you for always answering me so kindly.
      That's fun, I think many people are in the right down quadrant and this totally reasonates with the approach capsule wardrobe + different situations. I basically don't have situations haha I like the Lady Heretic archetype, and I dress quite up with some formality/structure and a twist even for working at home. I have my gym clothes in a separate space, and my "going out" clothes are the work clothes with more jewelry, or high heels, or shorter skirts.
      Do you have an archetype? Maybe you could talk about it in a next video!

      Wohoo! Thanks! I live in the north east, so it’s cold! In the winter we go to our cabin and ski. I also attend sporting events for my children on the weekends during the year and just joined a country club. I have the occasional date night with my husband or night out with my girlfriends. I love looking coordinated but not overly formal or fussy. Absolutely love color and very very rarely wear black. My words are colorful, coordinated and confident. I work mainly from home but like to get ready in the morning and sometimes travel for my job. Hopefully this answers your questions!

    I'm sure you are well aware by now that I love your work. I watch every single video as soon as I can:). So I am hoping you will take this feedback how it's intended -- as a kindness and opportunity to grow. I think that I would like to see a bit more of a mention of body types and formality levels here. Some items here (like looser trousers or knits) could look quite polished on some people and pretty relaxed on others, depending on their body type and beauty type. I know I would never wear cargo style jeans to the office, it would look on me like I got dressed for the wrong place. To feel like I am dressed formally enough I need quite a bit of structure -- a belt, matching shoes, tailoring. I guess everything depends on preferences and levels of comfort and types of office too, so for this hypothetical person maybe those would be perfectly okay office outfits. I just think that 9/10 people would feel and look quite underdressed in those. But maybe uni office jobs are more relaxed and in the end this was the assumption:).

    • @mirandaosmelak480
      @mirandaosmelak480 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ah, and to add to that: the model who was used for this capsule has pretty delicate small face with a lot of balance. I would say she has a mix of classic, romantic and ingenue essences and judging by the facial bones, her body type is likely to be narrow in bones. She would look very relaxed in looser clother.

    • @MiliVelikova
      @MiliVelikova  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Miranda, firstly thank you for the feedback and the way it was delivered - I truly appreciate it! Let me try to clarify a few things and also ask you for a favour!
      About the office environment - I worked as a PhD student for over a year, and they are wayyyy less formal than a typical company's office. I'd probably liken it to a tech company / creative studio kind of vibes - people can wear whatever makes them feel comfortable! In this particular video, I imagined someone researching and teaching things like art history, architecture, or anything more 'creative'.
      Around the body types and face types... the reason I don't include them is purely because I don't feel comfortable enough talking about them (yet). I can broadly say this would suit someone tall and moderate-to-wide, so probably the 'natural' types would work here? Definitely someone like me (soft classic) or gamines / romantics would feel swamped in so much oversize!
      Similar thing about facial features - I totally get what you mean, and in all honesty - I picked the photo at the end, simply googled 'dark winter' and got a picture that showed up.
      You seem to know a lot more about the essences & body types, so I'd love to know - what are some reliable resources you'd recommend me to look at? I've watched my fair share of videos, from Ellie Jean, Ali Art and more, and I still don't think I fully 'get' it!
