@@Margriet811 thank for Margriet! I love my winter colour palette, and I'm genuinely happy because it's colours I'm naturally drawn to! That said, I think there are beautiful shades to be found in each season!
I have just realized that if you’re a winter but not sure which winter, blue is an excellent indicator! For me as a dark winter, only very dark winter like navy looks really good. But bright blues are definitely your best colors among pinks! And probably you should not wear any browns! For dark winter, a few shades of dark browns work ok 🤔
My journey was exactly the same all my life I assumed I was an autumn…took a tan ! ..hazel eyes, dark brown hair …I had a colour analysis done and cool winter … My Mother was right I need vibrant colour and contrast……..she was always telling me to drop the beige it made me washed out and look ill …in the last year I have changed out the colours much like you ….love your content …for work I always had a base wardrobe of Black and Navy, so have added the fuchsia jumpers charcoal coat, cobalts blue knits ….accessories scarves in my jewel palette the best investment in my self was that colour analysis…I feel so like myself ..
I love that blue on you. I’m a dark/toned winter and a colleague always compliments me when I wear “medieval blue”. I really like the pinks on you too from your spring wardrobe. I’d say you lean towards the brighter side of cool winter so when wearing the really dark tops, I’d use accessories (eg. white scarves, your new silver jewellery, bright pink lipstick) to lift them slightly/focus on creating contrast. Ie. Of the 2 dark green sweaters you show side by side, I like the sporty one with the white writing best for you. You look so much better in your new wardrobe than the bright autumn/spring colours. Thank you for a great, DETAILED, honest, personal video showing the whole style journey of a year in one place & explaining your thought process.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts - I totally agree and definitely need to remind myself to wear some lipstick when wearing the darker tops - it helps indeed! I loved creating that video because I literally hadn't seen anyone talk about the entire process of changing your colours - most videos I watched were focused on finding them, rather than on what happens next! Thanks for watching :))
You look so good in your correct palette. The difference between the no make up wrong colours and no make up right colours is amazing! Can I ask, did you get a colour palette provided in the service or did you source one seperately? If the latter, can I ask what you bought?
Ohh thank you for watching and commenting! I do feel a massive difference in my makeup preferences, it's lowered down my spend by 90%! Have you seen my previous video? It also shows you a few to avoid! They also gave me a virtual card, it's basically like a business card size that I keep on my phone, and I usually compare any "new"item with the card - if the colours work well together, I know it's in palette - compared to some colours that would just stand out from the ones on the business card. That's what helps me with distinguishing especially reds, purples and yellows!

@@MiliVelikova hi, actually I kind of changed my mind about the color analysis system. I found the Ray color system which says we are all a mix of warm and cool, which is why we can look good in both warm and cool colors. It explained that every person's colors are unique like a fingerprint. I kind of see that in most people I know, I even see it in you. You do have some warmth in you, which is why you were previously typed as an autumn. I think some autumn colors will work on you and some cool winter colors will not. In my case, I think I'm 90-99% cool, so cool winter works perfectly.
Really enjoyed this video and I relate to this so much. You look fantastic in those bright blues and the pinks, and I think it's so great that pink is in your season because it feels like a cohesive part of your personal style too. People that are against colour analysis don't often consider how wearing flattering colours means you need less makeup, so thanks for speaking on that. I also love how when you have mostly pieces in colours from your palette you can mix and match them seamlessly.
Thank you so much for watching Kath! I do love pink, it's part of who I am as a person and part of my style more recently too - which i've loved. Yeah I didn't hear many people talk about makeup - but as someone who literally has to be on video calls almost daily, putting on makeup can feel like a chore or unnecessary - so having the right clothes has been a huge time and money saver!
This was so helpful after realizing my coloring is way brighter I thought about before. I still wear mainly neutral clothes because I like them and they are most realistick pieces to wear, especially in professional setting. But I totally want to purchase some brighter color accessories, and a scarf too! And I need to get a couple of brighter lipsticks and blushes.
I like your videos. The way you speak is very natural, and not pretentious. It feels like I am chatting with a friend. Please also do a video on how you make outfits out of your new winter colour season wardrobe, and talk through your thought process.
This video is really helpful. I also found out that I’m a winter! How did you get all your wardrobe in image form so you can see your closet all at once?
Oh that's great, another winter here! I am biased but I think we have the best colours haha! So I use Canva - I either take photos of my items if I can't find them online, or I google lens or google search the item to try to find the original stock photo. Then I upload them all to Canva + I remove the background. Should I make a video about this?
This video was fantastic, thank you. You look amazing in the winter colours, esp the Royal blues like your blouse and the deep magenta/ orchid. As you said, the difference for makeup is so apparent too. You glow in winter colours with no or practically no makeup. The oranges on you were not flattering at all. Enjoy your new palette and wardrobe!
@@BlueBird8925 thank you so much for watching, glad you enjoyed it! I can absolutely see the difference in makeup, it's been great to not feel the need to put it on as much! And totally agree - blue has been such a revelation for me!
I really want to get an analysis from them! I've narrowed down to warm/bright spring and the spring season overall since winter is too cool and autumn is too muted, but knowing my subseason for sure would be so helpful!
Oh that's great that you've found your season! You at least know a big group of colours that work well. Have you tried doing the 3 opposite seasons thing? So for spring bright - try winter bright colours For spring light - try summer light For spring warm - try autumn warm You should be able to see if any of those groups works better than the others - that would give you your subseason!
@@MiliVelikova yes I did try! Spring light is not it, not enough oomph, and summer colors make me look grey. Autumn warm is quite dull and too deep on me, but the warm colors and greens are really nice. Winter bright is too cool, but overall less draining/greying than autumn, so I'm pretty sure I'm bright spring. But warm spring still looks better than bright winter, so I think I'm happier in the bright and warm spring tones than leaning towards other seasons. :)
@@Lolzadoodle8484 that's amazing! I think your spring colours will always look better - just like pretty much all winter colours work better on me than summer cool. But those summer cool work for patterns / bottoms / accessories if I need it! So I guess you can enjoy your spring warm and bright, and maybe adding those pops of magenta / cyan / yellow if you wanted to!

I think it's an interesting one, and definitely I can touch upon this in the Q&A - but in short, I think I've focused on sharing how much I'm enjoying my new colours, and letting people who want that ask me how to do it / where etc. I've found that I can't 'force' anyone to improve - whether it's clothes, confidence, communication or anything - unless they actually want to!
Oops 😂 I am currently doing the opposite: I bought clothes that were way too pastel for me (I think I am right between autumn and winter) and am now dyeing them into darker shades. Luckily, going darker is always an option
