The discipline to perform at Gold level in gymnastics at 27 years old is incredible. The sacrifices. The injuries. The setbacks. The demands on the body.
Yeah, 27 is very young obviously, but not for gymnastics. Gymnastics is a very brutal sport. Most women have already been inured many times and have dealt with many issues to the point that they can't even compete at 27 anymore. Most start so young, so they already have a lot wear and tear on their bodies, and Simone started very young. She's a freak of nature though, and is still very healthy. The GOAT, awesome to see.
The whole team are so wonderful you can feel their love for each other you can feel the love in that room just watching it. I wish they could bottle it bring it home and give it to those in this country that do not understand we can be different in all our ways but we all are still humans.
I feel honored to watch such a gifted athlete. She is first class. I am so glad she went through with proving haters wrong. I hope when she finally decides to stop doing this she will help coach other athletes. I think she is a true leader that they can learn from. Gifted. Confidence. Personality.
