The acting of both of these guys (don’t even know their names yet) was the most impressed I’ve ever been at acting in a movie. It was insane. The gentle man who played Eric, the scene where he discloses the abuse to his lawyer for the first time, that scene was sooooo long and emotional and all done in one shot! Kudos to these guys.
Cooper you really did an absolute brilliant job of portraying Eric excellent.
These two guys did awesome playing these boys they really made me feel what they went thru. I know that Erik was upset about the Netflix movie but I honestly think it's going to help them be free.
I agree but i definitely do understand Lyle & Eriks perspective. Not the actors fault but Ryan Murphy seemed to be determined to portray the " incestuous brothers " bs. Disappointng for me. Much worse for them.

This actor seems really sweet. However the way Ryan Murphy had them portrayed in the Netflix series just set the brothers back like 20 years. Now ppl, especially those who don’t know all thr details of the case ; think so badly of them & believe they deserve to stay in prison for life. Most ppl watch these series and forget it’s all Hollywood dramatic bs & take it for face value. I am extremely disappointed in the Netflix series!!! I really hope the brothers get time served and are finally free to live the last half of their lives with loved ones.

Most people do their research after seeing a documentary nowadays and there are plenty of resources available. The problem isn’t Netflix but the laws and the people representing it that haven’t reopened the case yet. I live across the globe and after watching only a few clips from their trial believe they should be set free. Have a good day!
@dimjuls infographics show is pretty good, I went into this second season thinking there'd be alot of innacurate stuff so I didn't give my hopes up in thinking it would be a must watch in terms of education, but coming out of it I don't see the brothers in a bad light if anything they deserve a hug, I'm not trying to justify murder as they definitely deserved some time and some sort of punishment but not life sentencing as well as free therapy considering there history of abuse. 👍🏼

Erik said that he wasn’t represented properly, but you wanna know something. This series completely blew up to the point where it made a lot more people aware of what was going on and cause a lot more push with the VA to look into the case say what you will, but this monster Miniseries did a lot to help

I don’t know the whole story, it happened was when I was a kid and I’ve never dug into it; but if someone killed their parents for their $14 million dollar will, saying they did it because they were abused seems like the right lie to tell. I exactly agree. They should have served like 4-10 years, because their decision was wrong and the situation could have been dealt with in a much better way. They 100% did not deserve 35 years of jail time separated.

I'm glad a actor stepped into a real life case and tried to understand what they were going through and wanted the world to see his perspective and how he went through life. We need hollywood to expose monsters and bring justice to those lives that have no voice. What I love about this era is we are opening old cans of worms and bringing life to victims. I am so happy that Kim Kardashian is related to OJ Simpson and she really cares about this case. She is a really powerful person and genuinely has a good heart on the inside.

The biggest problem is what next? They'll never have a normal life and how do we as a society help people with long incarcerations especially reintegrate into society? Also with these sensationalized cases like what we're seeing with Gypse Rose how do they have a chance to be normal people when they're treated like celebrities or oddities to be stared at? I don't have the answers I just hope they have support if released.

Idk if this is his TRUE unfiltered opinion, because I have walked through a prison once and every bad thought ran through my head…. But I guarantee over time sitting down and talking with them and realizing that some of these prisoners who are so “ dangerous” are people like you and I and just snapped!
I think our prison system is so messed up because you have legit good ppl that made a horrible wrong decision that truly are remorseful in with people that truly don’t ever make good decisions and should not be on the streets we walk on.

I wonder if producers felt like whoever played Lyle and Erik truly needed to sympathize with them and their story. I’m not sure if I believe the brothers or not.
Nah, there was an abundant amount of evidence that their father was molestating them. There were even pictures that the father had of them as children of their genitals. He also had additional pictures with their entire bodies and faces it in with their pants down, and undergarments off, with their shirts and shoes still on. Normal people don't do that, that's disturbing. Even Kitty's own sister said that she believed they were being molested, and when their neighbors were invited over to dinner, the father was literally seen watching child pornography and laughing. Also, way before the crime itself, when Erik Mendez was only seven, he was examined by a well-respected medical examiner known as Dr. Kerry English who noted that Erik had signs of oral molestation. Again, he was literally only seven at the time, and those comments were kept in his medical examination report. The members of his boy band also stated that he drugged and raped them, even outside of the court case. There was even two prostitutes that testified that he tried to order 13 year old CHILDREN, and tried to strangle the adult woman that they thankfully sent instead. Kitty's own sister testified that she believed they were being molested as well, but did nothing about it. There's so much more evidence, but I don't have the time to list it all rn. There's absolutely no doubt of molestation. They were arrested for murder there was no question about that, they admitted to the murder as well. The entire court case brought up the question: Can murder be justifiable under circumstances such as child molestation? I believe it is.
