Kromekote paper gives gorgeous results with alcohol inks, too, and using the back of gloss photo paper provides another pretty outcome. I also like to apply the ink with a felt pad using 2 or 3 different colors plus a metallic ink (or krylon pen) and blending solution all at once, for polished stone technique. Lovely card; TFS.
This was the magic that brought me back to papercrafting! I first saw it maybe on the Carol Duvall show 10-15 years ago?? Now I'm wondering if it was Tim H who was demonstrating the technique. Beautiful cards!!!
As an artist I have used alcohol inks before. I have never used on acetate though! This is amazing and really beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I have really enjoyed you other alcohol ink cards before as well. :)
I too saw Jennifer do this and promised myself I would try it as soon as I could...as usual, I moved on to something else and promptly forgot about it! Thanks so much for reminding me Mindy...I made sure to note it in my TODO craft list so hopefully I'll be trying it really soon. Absolutely loved your cards and you're right...that gold did make your sentiment stand out more! Happy holidays to you and your family xx
I hold the air blower a little higher and just blow air onto it. Sometimes if there are areas of inks that built up, it can stay tacky. You could try using some deco foil over those areas. The foil will stick to the wet areas and add more interest to the cards
Colors are absolutely gorgeous

Love the pink one. Blue snowflake not bad....but I don't have the die. 😀 My funds have been cut off for December. Thanks so much for sharing.
Beautiful cards, Mindy! How do you set the alcohol inks on the acetate, I have tried this technique before and it seems to not dry completely.
