    Rob your tone and inflection is a lot like Agent Smith from the Matrix. If you were a villain, which you are not. Great info!

    Would be much better if y'all could pull in tight on the connections so we can see the wiring connections better. Thanks.

    Can this parallel wiring with Volume knob daisy chain be done on a Crown or QSC Amp?

    Thanks for the video. Now how to connect a phone extension to this so that when you pickup the phone and speak, the voice come out of those speakers? Like in big stores when they call an employee you can hear the sound from all speaker.

    Does the home run configuration add up to the wattage like parallel does?

    Very well explained thanks, but how about if your amplifier has a zoning volume control lets say it has 5 volumes and the output of the amp has an output of 70v, 100v, and then the additional common outs and zone 1,zone 2,zone 3,zone 4, zone 5 can i also daisy chain on zones output?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good question and will depend upon the abilities of the amplifier. I recommend contacting an advisor to discuss your gear and check. Here's how to reach us for this help:

    VERY INFORMATIVE! 16-gauge 2 conductor stranded cl2 wire?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could use a 16 or 14 gauge, 2 conductor CL2 wire.

    Amazing video. Just what I needed. But a question there, If we connect the speakers in parallel with volume buttons in daisy chain, and if we turn off the first speaker in the chain, does the current passes to the further speakers in the chain? I mean if I turn off the first speaker through the voulme knob, does 2nd or 3rd speaker still play??

    How about a video troubleshooting speaker and speaker wire on a 70 volt system using a impedance meter.

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We'll pitch that to our video team. If you purchase any commercial or pro audio gear from Crutchfield our Tech Support can also help you troubleshoot wiring and installation.

    How does impedance is affected by the prarallel connection?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is really affected or even a concern since commercial audio runs 70V systems instead of the impedance driven power output like home or car audio systems.

    I'm trying to use a couple of commercial speakers in home theatre setting, but im unable to find any content or instructions on how to connect these speakers to my home theatre amp. The amp is Yamaha RX-A770 and the Speakers I'm trying to connect are Bose DS 16F. and I intend to use these as Surround Rear R and L. Anyone know how to do it?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will set them to 8 ohm, which makes them like normal non-commercial speakers.

    Some speakers wires are in red and white combination instead of red and black so which one is common.

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly both color combinations are very common. It's usually the manufacturer's choosing on which color combination they decide to go with for the speaker wires.
