you're dreaming if you think rigos doesn't know what he's doing. it's going to be different, but guarantee it's gonna be good. wondering if he gets his own sidekick

Al's been noticeably joyful during this build. Maybe it's because a weight has been lifted and he's looking forward to his next chapter? Maybe it's because putting the correct engine into this Nissan is sick and clearly the right thing to do? Maybe it's Maybelline? In any case, it's an honour and a privilege to watch content like this and Al will be sorely missed.
It'll be sad to see you go Al, its crazy to see how your mind works when fabricating things here and there. I forget which car it was, but when you updated a car you guys had previously done and see how "young Al's" mind worked, was a good one. Constantly learning and improving.
Al, the Algorithm dropped you into my que about the time you "made over" a Toyota V12 in a Land Rover; from that to this RBZ, they have always been outstainding- this one is a nice post card to us- thank you both, Al, Woody.
I wasn't having a good day and a session watching Al do this thing just smooths that right out. Thanks. We're going to miss you, but you've taught us a lot and my project is driveable, so I think il will be okay.
Building an exhaust is like tuning a Dijeridoo. I totally want a stainless steel Didj. Killer project, nice progress. And as always, good tips from an old master.
One of those cars that I always wanted in my teens, when Sylvia’s and 180sx’s were cheap and abundant and all the Julio’s drove them thinking they were starring in Fast and the Furious 😂 Loving the build 👌
Not sure if you boys will read this but I had similar issues with my hypertune intake manifold hitting my original clutch master in my R34 with a 26/30 and I could not get it engineered. ended up going with a z34 / 370Z master cylinder as it had enough room due to the remote fluid reservoir and passed with flying colours. Did have to use a few weird fittings but it ended up working just fine. Might possibly be something to consider instead of putting a master on the inside of the firewall
@@theskidfactory it looks like the exact same issues between both cars, so hopefully the z34 master ends up giving the you the same solution. As it was a p.i.t.a to figure out what master to use and I thought instead of using R chassis parts Z chassis parts would work too being these are all parts bin cars really
The Z32 Nissan wishes they'd made. I get that the VG was new and shiny at the time, but the RB20 had existed for years already, and the RB26 was hot off the presses for the R32 GT-R so they COULD have stuck that in there too. Thanks for showing us how it's meant to be done :)
Was never interested in the 300zx but this is probably my favourite build so far. Thanks for all the great content over the years guys. I appreciate it.
@23:05, oil cooler have in and out, then the cooler cavity itself. air rises, it runs through lines with fluids until it reaches an area it can float up to the highest locaton within that system. here, once oil and air travels throgh the lines into that cooler. the air rises tothe highest location inside that system, which inthis case is the top side of that oil cooler, and it will get stuck in there, more and more air will accumilate inside the cooler, reducing the amount of surface area the oil has in order to come in contact withthe cooling fins of the oil cooller. this reduces the efficiency of the cooler. anytime you mount an oil cooler with an in and out on the same side of the cooler. it can NVEVER be mounted with both nipples facings the ground. as there is no bleeder valve on the (now top side) of the cooler, to bleed out said trapped air, the only way to moun the cooler to prevent this cavitation of air, is to mount the cooler so that the feed line attaches to the nipple at bootom of cooler and the outlet hose connects o nipple at top of cooler so oil full of air enter bottom, fedds through cooler till the top and all air leaves the cooler with the loins out the top of cooler as now there is no place for air to rise and get trapped into.
I'd put that coolant expansion tank on the firewall so it is at the highest point and all air bubbles will easily accumulate there. Ford Australia cars had this setup.
Seeing how crowded that exhaust side is made me appreciate and also amaze me how a guy here in Sweden RB26 converted his LHD 300ZX 16 or 17 years ago.. He did however do a singleturbo, but theres rly no other option as the steering column and boosters has to have some space. But still :o
I vote to plumb the wastegates back into the exhaust to keep that clean crisp 90s/early 2000s RB sound. It tends to sound weird with screamer pipes because it breaks up the exhaust note so much and quite annoying when youre tryna just relax and cruise around town.
This is so cool man. Also, I think you spotted me broken down on the side of the Bruce highway when you were out cruising in the Barra Wagon last week. I was the muppet trying to figure out why my 1UZ swapped Cressida was overheating 😂 Anyway, can't wait to see how you go with the wiring!
This is SUCH a cool project!!! My buddy had one of these in highschool and I always thought it was a really clean looking car. You're really giving it the proper treatment. Beautiful workmanship!!!!
bro turbos can definitely catch things on fire. my first s13 ka24det build had a top mount turbo and i didnt have a heat shield to the brake master cylinder. one long highway trip later and i was pulling over with smoke under the engine bay. literally melted the BMC canister into a pile of pudding and i had a brake fluid fire on the side of the road. thankfully i kept a 4L jug of water in the trunk for emergencies and was able to wash the flaming fluid out of the engine bay and onto the road where it continued to burn for the next 10 minutes but thankfully it took the fire away from the car and onto the roadway! had to build a big heat shield to go between the turbo and BMC and hasnt been an issue since. it definitely CAN happen!
Generally speaking you want to remove the tape off the intake manifold before mounting the intake. I know it's probably for mocking up but please don't forget
As someone who has just moved to engine bay on my project, it nakes watching videos like this extremely hard. Like, theres $10,000 in that engine bay NOT INCLUDING THE ENGINE.

Redline Supercool with water wetter at a 60/40 dilution ratio is what I used in my RB26 and it made about a 10 degree difference in coolant temps.
Excellent tip.
The project is coming along very nicely!
The Z32 Nissan wishes they'd made.

"Just a charade...or two"
All of that complexity in return for higher energy density of liquid fuel. Wow!
As usual, your work is impeccable.
