Respect to Dave for wearing hearing protection. Industrial deafness is real and incredibly common. The amount of youtubers not protecting their ears is scary.
He almost had it fitted correctly too! Yes going to be a lot, huge amount of deaf people shortly. Especially from TH-cam. Just wear hearing protection people, and eye protection, hearing loss happens quickly and by the time you pick it up it is way too late.
Kye is so humble and always smiling. His knowledge is awesome and really show he knows his stuff. Good to see tuners who aren't afraid to share what they know. Love this stuff, another top vid woody!
Hey woody we need more dyno sessions with kye please. Humble dude, keeps explanation pretty straight forward but still technical enough for us interested in the more detailed stuff when it comes to tuning
Thanks ky, nice to know im not the only one that cant keep diffs in my ute 😂 always wondered how street cars didnt blow them when my 1kz n60 eats them, allthogh i do have 33s. Thanks mate, looks like your the new co host now 👌🤠👍
I mean Kye (Kai?) is just a treasure throve of knowledge and the explanation.... fantastic, Keep up the excellent work Woody big fan of the channel from inception.
When diffs don't come on the third or fourth mallet strike, I grab a sharp chisel and a hand sledge, I named mine Mjolnir, and go straight up from the bottom where the gasket/silicone is. It breaks loose quite easily 9/10. I always keep a nut loosely threaded on the bottom stud so that it doesn't fly out once loose, as well. Just in case that helps.
Great to hear. Nice to see Syltech's new line of combination temp/pressure sensors utilizing 1/8npt threads and Deutsch DTM connectors - much more user friendly than Bosch's trapezoid connector and M10 thread.
Kai just getting my hair on fire to tune my thing , only ever road tuned it myself but this getting me all fizzy , my 44mm creeps the same as that too . Goes 5psi to 7psi over a pull
You gonna get another co-host or at least regular buddy? Would be helpful for you I’m sure to share some of the presenting or filming/editing AND I think the buddy interaction is what keeps people coming back year after year (MCM, Top Gear, you and Al, Bad Obsession, etc). Great work on your own so far just don’t want you to burn out!!
That ending needs to be shown from time to time. Don’t need to see the struggle all the time, but for the young folks that don’t know. You gotta keep it honest.
Ke70's are dirt cheap near me, 4 doora for under 2k USD. I can even get K20/4s but there are very few rwd manual transmissions that can handle 300hp to the wheels... like 4k+ usd for an R154
Good work , but I think I would be installing discs stoppers on the rear of that car with that amount of HP. I use a thin fox wedge on jobs like that tight diff... I don’t know about the claw hammer though 😂
those are still little axles, rubber hammer duck's... my car needed a one ton truck axle just to get up the cold snow covered driveway. really feels like the 300hp V8 isn't enough to throw the muck out of the treads as it all melts...
I'm curious to know more about that rear axle and diff. Is that also a Hilux axle? Because you have me wondering if the V6 Hilux diff with bolt into a 77/78 Celica GT axle. If it that still a T-series axle what year diff and axle works together.
@theskidfactory oh good. Because even in the 4wd hilux world many people don't know about doing solid pinion spacers, then complain about blowing diffs.
Who’s a fan of the K24?
is a k24 in a basic honda odyssey (2004) the same as this?
Shit yea one of the best 4 cylinders period if not the best
@@NicholasBryson-x3dWikipedia will answer that question
k swap the world!
@@NicholasBryson-x3d Yes, but without the mods.
Respect to Dave for wearing hearing protection. Industrial deafness is real and incredibly common. The amount of youtubers not protecting their ears is scary.
27 and already feel signs of it after even just over 12 years working
Huh? I can't hear you?
As a young buck we always made fun of the older blokes using protection . Now I’m sorry I wasn’t using it myself
All those american youtubers running open pipes...
He almost had it fitted correctly too! Yes going to be a lot, huge amount of deaf people shortly. Especially from TH-cam. Just wear hearing protection people, and eye protection, hearing loss happens quickly and by the time you pick it up it is way too late.

Agreed. I hope he can tune my twincharged aw11 when I've built my new engine.
Woody the way you shoot & edit welding sequences is top notch.
Thanks mate! This was actually filmed on an iPhone!
Kye is getting good in front of a camera, and he's good at explaining the relationship between the components.
Hey woody we need more dyno sessions with kye please. Humble dude, keeps explanation pretty straight forward but still technical enough for us interested in the more detailed stuff when it comes to tuning
Always love to see the technical talks with Kye, keep the video's coming Woody, you're doing an awesome job!
Thanks for bringing back the squeaky hammer!
Been missing it!
Great to see I have a brother from another mother in Australia (I'm the guy showing up in high vis with pocket beers around here)
Love the content with kai. He is so knowledgable and enthusiastic in explaining things.
Great to see more of the boys and the cool toys. That bracket is worthy of Binky.
Loving the editing too.
If ur waste gate is bouncing off down the track, doesn't that mean both welds were shit.. lol. Impressive numbers for a shed build kye. Nice car..
Haha well if it does it’s gonna be my fault!
@theskidfactory I'm sure it will be sweet, luving the co tent bro. Cheers.
The “first go” joke is so much more meaningful now! I actually believed it at the time haha! 😄
That Engine BASIC K24 looks amazing Good job Modify it and sounds awesome go really fast With 650HP👏👏👏👏

Kye's a great guy, loving the inside scoop on tuning
Such a killer little engine Woody and awesome to see you and Kye becoming good mates
Shot Woodie👍thanks Kye, im looking forward to seeing some passes👍
Superbly informative episode. Fantastic power returns from a nearly stock k24
Good job Dave let's all support him 👏
G series is 8" ie 200mm same as JZX/ Turbo Soarer & Supra (though there are 220mm versions of Supra diffs also).
SQUEAKY HAMMER!!!!!! Thanks Woody! Kye content works! Have him on more often!
Welcome the the squeak factory
Thanks ky, nice to know im not the only one that cant keep diffs in my ute 😂 always wondered how street cars didnt blow them when my 1kz n60 eats them, allthogh i do have 33s. Thanks mate, looks like your the new co host now 👌🤠👍
So much great tech... and real world experience. Top stuff.
This series makes me wish I had a car that I was working on (despite a complete lack of knowledge and skills) to get Kai to tune!
Solid info in this video! Cheers!!
Woody u r a champ keep it going cheers
I mean Kye (Kai?) is just a treasure throve of knowledge and the explanation.... fantastic, Keep up the excellent work Woody big fan of the channel from inception.
Great ep Woody!!!! Great seeing all the professionals in shops with industrial grade gear.
Like the safety Gard on the grinder woody 😂
I am always learning about something interesting from you guys together

Good to see you thriving and loving life Woody ❤
Epic! Mechanic comment for the centre removal: hit it with your purse, Woody!
Kye's gloves are wicked... :)

I too love the squeaky hammer, makes me laugh every time :)
@boostedboiz would approve

Those KA's are a stout bit of kit! Great vid!
Can and will AL still visit? Please!. Some of us older folk miss him. If not he will always be in our harts and memory's. Ty woody and kye.🫡🇺🇲
He was in the video before this one
We run a EK9 Civic race car…K24 NA 315HP. 262 at the tire….its fun! The class we run in doesn’t allow turbocharging.
Loving the videos brother
Great choice of engine for this car. Would hammer i reckon
Sweet find and purchase. Got my sub for what's coming for the great notch
Nice work gentlemen.
Love the k24 it's such a good engine
Magnificent
No “what’s for dinner” - gee man, the Skidders has gone to the dawgs 😂
what was the verdict on the fast IAT sensor Woody?
seems a pretty common upgrade on RB's running aftermarket ECU's
Yeah we forgot to cover it!! But yes alot more responsive and accurate than the previous sensor.
Great to hear.

Great show lads!
Kye stuff is good stuff.
What a monster

hilux diff and gearbox we talked about those at length on the show lol
Go Kye
awesome info...what gearbox are you currently running
It’s an R154 from a Toyota with I believe a Niteparts k24 bellhousing
That Bluetooth Fire extinguisher...
That ending needs to be shown from time to time. Don’t need to see the struggle all the time, but for the young folks that don’t know. You gotta keep it honest.
Lol, the good ol' Bluetooth fire extinguisher.
Ke70's are dirt cheap near me, 4 doora for under 2k USD. I can even get K20/4s but there are very few rwd manual transmissions that can handle 300hp to the wheels... like 4k+ usd for an R154
K is the way
Hard to imagine a KE70 with 650hp, would be insane in the wet. Mine had about 30hp and was still fun haha
K Engines 👌
Yay the squeaky hammer’s back!
Is that Al and Woody talking sampled into some od the music?
Kye , figure/ cam plug = Cheaper Dyno sessions ?
The hammer was worth hanging around for 🤣
That's art work. Love it 🎉
Great episode. Love a K24. I've always wanted to see Al working on a K24.
👋 Woody
Hey mate!
Is that knock normal….. nice.
Good
Thx again for the content, these semi tech videos are awesome to watch ❤❤ let's not forget the return of the hammer, lovin it 😂😂😂😂
There's your next T-Shirt "Welcome to the squeaky hammer factory"
what a ripper
You bringing the krolla to Roma?
Good work , but I think I would be installing discs stoppers on the rear of that car with that amount of HP. I use a thin fox wedge on jobs like that tight diff... I don’t know about the claw hammer though 😂
I love that hammer ❤😂
Squeaky hammer did not disappoint - eleventy out of ten.
My dog likes the squeaky hammer noises, she was very intrigued lol
those are still little axles, rubber hammer duck's... my car needed a one ton truck axle just to get up the cold snow covered driveway. really feels like the 300hp V8 isn't enough to throw the muck out of the treads as it all melts...

“The bro Factory”
Give it a red-hot go, it's the Aussie way😂😊👍 Ps this combo is mint!

Those hilux centres you guys are playing with are an 8". Also did Kye fit a solid pinion spacer when building that centre?
Yeah solid pinion spacer is a must for high power applications
@theskidfactory oh good. Because even in the 4wd hilux world many people don't know about doing solid pinion spacers, then complain about blowing diffs.
bonkers, sounds like a jet
that's wheel horse power too😊
Squeaky hammer for the win!!!!
I like the new show better than the old.
YAY!! the squeaky hammer! 🤣
Wasn't Al feeding you woody. Looks like you've been in a good paddock champ
These information-heavy episodes are going to be called "Woody: Fact Hunt"
