Hi Jon. Another great video. Glad you are now using yard sales as a source. You can get lucky and get some great finds. Just today I flip[ped a $40 timing tool into $340. And I found a signed Bobby Orr photo in frame with COA for 10 bucks. I had sent you a few msgs regarding the upcoming reseller remix this week, but guess you missed them. So I will repeat my last message here: Let me thank you for everything that you do for our community. I follow a number of TH-camrs, but you are always the first one that I go to when I'm looking for content. You are the most useful and straightforward and informative of the bunch, and in a no BS kind of style. Anyway enough of blowing you up, lol, ( but I sincerely mean it), Here's the reason for the message. You had mentioned in a previous live that you would be willing to meet up with people during the reseller conference coming up in October. I will be attending, in fact I was there last year and had hoped to run into you but that didn't happen, obviously. So I would like to meet up with you this year if at all possible. I will be in Vegas at the Golden Nugget from Monday through Friday during the conference and would like to invite you to dinner, It's the least I could do for all you've done for me. So please contact me if possible and we can make some arrangements to meet. Keep up the great work, sir. . Regards Mike Camporeale
Hey Mike. I did get your email but it bounced back as undeliverable when i replied. Send me a message in Instagram Flippin_aint_easy_2020. I plan on going to the downtown area one evening this week, I’m thinking Tuesday. Contact me on IG.
Thanks Jon. I went to one in my neighborhood on Saturday. I wasn’t going to go, but decided to at the last minute. I’m glad I did because I scored big on a cut glass and sterling silver cocktail shaker. Stoked I found it and bought it for a song.
I usually have the opposite effect with the million dollar homes. It's a hit and miss, a lot of the time I go to the million dollar homes they don't care what the price is and if you bring your dog you will get almost what ever you want for next to nothing.
Sometimes when they're firm on that $30 but was selling you other nice items for $1 you can find an average cost and without realizing it you already have a great price.
The absolute worst kind of neighborhood for a reseller is the newish cookie cutter suburb. No point wasting gas to view kids clothes, worthless modern toys, and walmart junk.
I love yard sales. $180 I spend yesterday. Should make about $1200-$1500. That's with everything very reasonably priced. In CT. Next weekend might be the last weekend for us.
I went to a moving sale the other day. Picked up a pair of ASICS, vintage tupperware, vintage games and a couple other things. They asked what I wanted to pay. I hate that. I didn't do my comps. And I always feel like I'll lowball. So I hemmed and hawed and the lady finally said, how about $2 is that too much? I wasn't going to lowball that low!
I bought 10 numbered porcelain figurines at this sale. They were all individually priced to sell to begin with. I offered her $30 for all 10 (they were priced ($2-$5) each. She came back with “Just give me $20” and wouldn’t take $30.
Bundle bundle bundle 🤣 🤣 🤣 the more the merrier. They don't want to add it all up in most cases and just give 1 price and negotiate from there. Great video lucky to live in Florida and yard sales year round. Like you took me years as part time reseller to go to garage sales. Used to live off goodwill back when items were .25 and .75 now goodwills for me are an afterthought they priced me out of their stores for the most part. Covid made goodwill change their mindset bc sooooo many new resellers bc were out of work needed the hustle. They capitalized on it. Problem is most of those ppl went back to work. And Goodwill has consistently raised their prices where I use to go every day maybe once or twice a month. If that.
Another tip if you're buying tools ask the wife for the price she will give it. away. If you're buying home decor go to the husband he will sell it cheaper than the wife.
I disagree on the high-income areas. They are preferred. Better quality stuff, generally better condition and care taken of the items…. And their reason for garage sale is to clear space and get rid of things. They don’t quibble over price just want to rid of things.

For sure, I’ve had the same experience at high end homes. They tend to showcase their stuff as if they are running a retail store😂
