    Y'all know I love packing cubes when packing carry on only! So today I am doing a review of the best packing cubes on amazon. They are the Shacke Pak packing cubes, and I do believe they are the best affordable packing cubes, and they are amazon must haves!
    Link is here to purchase:

    unboxing: 1:49-3:35

    packing them: 6:23-8:31

    In this video, I do an unboxing of the product, go over it in depth, measure them, and pack them, and fit them in my luggage. They are very similar to ebags packing cubes, that I have been using for years.

      What is your preference for compression packing cubes?
      I couldn't find any of your other videos about packing cubes in general, so apologies if you previously addressed compression packing cubes or preference of packing cubes. TIA!!

      @@tabithawilson1243 I hav Gonex packing cubes (amzn.to/3yk3kgi) and I don’t think they make that much of a difference compared to these ones, when it comes to size. You can maybe fit an extra t-shirt. I also feel like it can get more wrinkled, compressing the air out of it.
      I have a packing cubes vs no packing cubes video coming out this Saturday, one day I’ll make one of compression vs non compression too!

      I second the request for a comparison between compression vs non, if you’re up for it or course! Leaving for a 2 week trip soon & haven’t packed with carry on only for that long of a yet. I’m thinking packing cubes will be helpful, but have been stuck deciding between the traditional cubes or a compression set. Thank you for all of the helpful tips!! 😁

    Since they’re too big to pack, I like to use large and extra large packing cubes that come in sets like this to store seasonal clothing I’m not wearing. Frees up space in my closet and I’m less worried about them attracting dust in my closet when they’re folded into a packing cube.

    I use both. Roll some clothing along the groove of the luggage handle (usually bottoms) and then packing cubes on top. I have some cheap ones from Daiso but one broke already (cheap zipper) so that’s my next purchase. A good set. Would love to see a roll packing vs folding packing vs packing cube packing vs compression cube packing.

    Procrasti-pack! Love that! That would be my husband... Great zippers are SO necessary!! Love all the features of the Shacke Pak cubes, but I don't have any of that brand. I never get sets of different sizes anymore, since they always include the larger ones I never use. I appreciate the practical advice you give about packing cubes, and that you went the extra step to pack them and fit them into the suitcase!

    • @ItsTheKellys
      @ItsTheKellys  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Right? I always use the medium and small! Brian’s stuff is good in the large though! Although this is my 5th set of packing cubes! I think I have a problem lol!

    • @susandiekmann
      @susandiekmann ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ItsTheKellys LOL, I have the same problem! I have two large containers in my closet just for my packing cubes. I really need to get rid of the ones I don't like anymore (I've gotten more picky!!). One other kind of packing item I use EVERY time I travel is a packing folder. It comes in handy for Jeff's collared shirts or my nicer tops.

    I like packing cubes for mix and matching our family’s clothes between our luggage in case of lost luggage. So small cubes but each case has a mix of mine, my husbands and my kids. So if one suitcase is lost, it’s one one person with no clean undies.

    You had me at the deepest. I like to do KonMari style, which I think is the best of both worlds of the rolling vs. folding dilemma. The cream is currently taking over a month to arrive and I have a trip coming up before that. 🤔I may try pink, which is so not my normal color.
    I’ve used compression and regular cubes, but haven’t found my favorites yet. Maybe these will be it… . I have certain criteria that have to work for me, and I don’t know until I try them.
    Since they’re so cheap (in a good way), I may try to convince my husband to use them, also. He travels for work for years and has NEVER used packing cubes! He has his own system. 😄
    Thanks for all your videos! They are very helpful.

    • @ItsTheKellys

      Love KonMari for everyday life! For travel, I find I have to do a little more packing Tetris and get creative sometimes. What is your criteria for a perfect packing cube? I’m curious :)

    • @ItsTheKellys
      @ItsTheKellys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It separates your items, but it also gives more space! I plan on doing a video soon showing the difference in packing, whether you use them or not :)

    I've tried using packing cubes but I've found I can fit more without them. I unpack if I'm staying more than one night so the organization doesn't matter to me. I do use them if I'm staying at two places in one trip just so I don't have to totally unpack.

  • @mariannemay2669
    @mariannemay2669 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Shouldn’t they be compression packs? Takes out extra air to get in smaller space.

    • @ItsTheKellys
      @ItsTheKellys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I’ve talked about compression cubes too. Although they aren’t my preferred method due to wrinkles, Soon I’ll be doing a comparison on the two, and packing them both with the same items.
