All racers talk alot of shit... That's what drives us to compete as fiercely as we do in the first place. There's a difference between talking racer smack, and just being a straight up dick in life. If one is to succeed in a racing environment, he/she had better know the difference.

So sorry Dave. Notice that the reverse lights come on just as he loses control? Dave usually connects the transbrake to the reverse lights. He may have pushed the transbrake button by accident which locks both rear tires. No control when rear tires are locked.
This is a dumb comment. A no prep track is still safer than the street in regards to traction and safety crews. These accidents both occurred well past where even a prepped track would have been sprayed to. Past the 330 there's no glue or anything. It gets drug but that's about it. You just don't know racing.
Does anyone else see that both of these wrecks happened when the drivers in the opposite lane pulls the shoot and the cars that wrecked got squirrely right as they other drivers shoot opens causing the wind downforce to be taken from the cars that wreck??
Some say when other cars beside them even go sideways they can feel the air difference on their car and it feels like it pushes their own car a little bit

I bet a scientist or even a meteorologist could explain the affects of this happening because they see this wind movement change in say tornados or hurricanes but at the end of the day it is all a scientific creation of doom!! I'M GLAD EVERYONE (drivers and spectators alike) are ok and I'm super sorry for their hotrods. Before major events track personnel will normally clean the track, apply traction compounds and drag it in preparation for an upcoming event. In no prep races the track is cleaned of all traction compound and as much tire rubber as possible. Goal is to present a more street like surface for racers to race on.
He's very lucky to be alive. You go back and look that's exactly what happened to Dale Earnhardt. Going really fast and all of a sudden the car turns and drives straight into the wall. That was a beautiful car so glad he's ok

as he lifts and throws the chutes you see the reverse lights come on, then the brake lights, that means the line lock/trans brake has engaged, or there are some bad wiring problems. i believe he had the car rewired not too long ago, so my money is on the line lock engaging for some reason and putting it sideways. Machine Gun Kelly looked like it oiled its own rear left tire to me. Totally different wrecks in different lanes for different reasons.
Little funky stuff going on with the tree. If you slow-mo it, the tree lights green for Kelley a fraction of a second before Dave's light goes green. That little delay can make the difference at these speeds.. This makes more sense because I thought at first Dave was sleeping at the line and was late to gas it..

Purging the nitrous system is the "steam" you see. And driving up the track a little is them doing a burnout to heat up the tires for better grip.

I ve driven in road rally’s and on tracks. This sort of racing is quite complicated even though it is fundamentally simple.

And that is why you through the chute under power in a drag car and don't try and stop it on the brakes only at those speeds. It may go fine 2k times but the one time it don't this happens.
That is what Justin Swanson was doing every pass and people were going nuts that he was dumping the chute too early.
