- In this video we have James Goad in his reaper ss camaro at his all star no prep race in xtreme raceway in Edinburg, texas. What makes this really sad is due to the fact Reaper and the orange yenko were burned to the ground in a horrific trailer fire. Reaper was driving back home and sparks were shooting out of the trailer so james pulls over to check and the trailer was engulfed quickly from the flames. An extremely sad sight to see after a powerful track session eariler that day. This video shows the reapers last ride down the track and we hope its not the last time the reaper comes out again. As a car guy and a fellow 1st gen Camaro owner/enthusiast I can definitely say I feel for you brother! I sold my first 67 and kicked myself for years. Since then I have gotten another one but with family life and everyday struggles it’s still a project/dream in the works. I also don’t like to take money away from the family by putting my car ahead of most everything life throws at me but I know that one day I’ll get there or I’ll leave a treasure to one of my kids and hopefully they will love the car life also! I’m hoping that even if you decide not to build another Reaper that you will continue to find a way to keep yourself out there inspiring the younger generation!
The title made it sound as though Reaper had died!! It should have read, "Reaper loses Cars in Trailer Fire." Is that considered Clickbait?

Absolutely!!! I don't really care much for Reaper, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to hear that he died in a race. I mean there is a lot of drivers that's not one of our favorites, but we sure don't to hear about any of them dying. It takes the ones that we don't like to make drag racing so much un to watch.
Just like when Birdman wrecked his firebird in the JJ the boss race. I personally can't stand Birdman as a drag racer, but I really felt bad for him when he in that terrible crash. I guess they are the love to hate drivers, but we hate them only bc they are always so damn fast, and hardly ever lose. Just saying, I never want to see any of them seriously hurt or killed!!!

I've watched Street Outlaws since the beginning and always had a soft spot for the trials of the Reaper. I hope you guys get 'er back on the track ASAP!

I remember reaper wanting to make the 405 list and they told him no because he had carbon fiber panels on his car now everyones car is built with them go figure 🤷🤔👍don’t give up James 👍🤗
As long as the roof is metal and has vin his was a thru and thru prob mod. They really didn't want to get rid of him for that they just didn't like him lying saying it's metal when the dam magnet wasn't clinging to it . Hate hearing the people saying " no one like reaper" he was the best racer in my mind. A true street and track racer wish him and his family the best and hope to see back again 👍👍
honestly out of everyone on that show he's the only one that ever had an interesting story that wasn't built around a fake ego but discovery tried way to hard to turn him into a villain of the group.

That doesn't make sense. Because the insurance wouldn't have covered enough to replace Reaper and spare parts, let alone the the second race car, parts, trailer and tools. 🤔. Not to having a fire suppression system in the trailer, with that much $$ in it, isn't very wise though. Thank goodness nobody was hurt.

See the problem is ...They started at the wrong End of the finish line don't ya see...Say 55 wanted to race Me ..Ok I'd drive my wife's Mazda CX5 grand Turing sport down to the other End and have the AC Running full blast..An sipping on some Cold Tea..Now keep in Mind I've only spent 26K and maybe 1 dollar for the Tea...As where He has Spent 100's an 100's of thousands of dollars just to smoke the tires and make alot of noise at this Point of the Track...not counting the FR Clothes and the Cool helmet...Just to fart in a Puddle of sweat in his draws...Lol... And there's No telling who has been in an out of his house through the Back door while he is doing this...And for what..? Nothing More than Look at me Geaux Me..! 🤣🤣🤣...A Fool an His Money Will Always Part..!

I took it as it was the last night at the track. It's last run. If not, they would have said Reaper burns in trailer on the side of the highway.
I've had 2suicides one on x-mas day , my dad died , my sister sued me for estate,my bad as triple cylinder 130mph in 14/ BURNT TO GROUND , , THREE OF MY HOUSES WERE ROBBED. STOLE ONE IF MY VETTES ALL OF DAD'S TOOLS , SET OUR FOREVER HOME ON FIRE , LIVED THERE SINC1953, THEN LAST MONDAY WE ALMOST LOST OUR NEW HOUSE TO A GREEN HOUSE, STORAGE SHED FIRE , it was your turn , I don't know what's up , but this is TOUGH FOR ALL OF US ?? Sometimes it’s done for longer periods to lower bottle pressure if it’s too high

The Reaper loses big time against the full size 55 Chevy and even uses the parachute while he NEVER needed the parachute ever to begin with , the car is slow . maybe that is what caught his trailer on fire a unnecessary item

I don't keep up with these guys but as a long time drag racer with many wins and world records, SOMEONE needed to set up that 4 link for the black Camaro. Also horrible shock adjustment on the front and the rear. How can you spend that much money on motors and not pay someone who knows how to set up a car chassis? #deathtrap

Dude nobody got hurt. It caught fire way in the back trailer while they were driving lol. They just lost 100's of thousands $ and nothing to show for .you would think they'd have some sort of insurance on those damn things

Is the trailer "catching fire while driving" with everything inside the new way to upgrade? Same thing happened with JJ. Claim it on insurance and build new instead of reworking the old chassis.
