@@Elemental_131 I had a DS, but I never knew what miitopia was because i didn’t really know anything, unless it was on tv or something because i was little
I felt like I was getting called out with the “always buy equipment when you have it” and “always gold flag each stage” I’m doing a 100% run rn, but I still usually do those things 😭 (and I totally don’t grind way too many levels just bc it’s fun to one shot bosses)
I do 100% Simply because its the fun way to grind out xp and stuff, also, having all of the items is fun, entirely personal preference, but I find it really fun and my brain refuses to let me stop playing until I have a gold flag in every stage in one particular section of the game
I always gold flag stages because if i dont, the stages wont look as pretty. Ive spent so long gold flagging stages with like a lot of paths in the late game
I really enjoy all the high quality miitopia content you put out! I’ve gotten back into the game recently, so it’s scratching that itch in my brain. That said, wow, this playthrough really made me realize I need to stop trying to optimize gameplay for whatever I play and just play the goddamn video games how I find fun
This made me relive my childhood. Flashbacks of my first struggle against the pink gorilla boss, the endless hundreds of hours of fun I had by doing the endgame, finally managing to gain the elf class, and all the god tier musics while fighting wacky monsters. And obviously the tower of despair. (I actually bet the last boss only 6 years after having bought the game). Thanks man. Keep up the good work.
Clearly this game is just bad. You shouldn’t have had this much trouble. Maybe Nintendo should make the game better. I commend all those HEROIC game journalists for trudging through this game in order to help players beat an otherwise impossible game.
Making super inaccurate team builds wasn't very necessary, they'd have been better off just saying what jobs do best. Although their description of popstar wasn't amazing either
I play a lot of Baldurs Gate 3, and whenever one of the sites says anything about the Gith Creche being in act 2, it makes me want to send my phone out a window and hunt them down. I'm pretty sure that its Gamerant
Yes, this is true, but also it's like a meh difference. If you're at a certain level of equipment the chest will just give an amount of money equal to like the highest priced gear it gives, and greenhorne chests are cheap
One thing, I often do, is that I never buy or get any gear for the playable mii, as that lets me save money for other characters gear and also for the job, I have intent on using starting the 3rd World/Region/Whatshyacallit
I bet you that Game Journalism is why Nintendo added the Horse + having to pick out Miis manually instead of everyone being randomly selected. Game Journalists want everything to be easy and streamlined. That's my theory as to why the Switch made those very weird changes that weren't needed.
wait, people dont usually 100% all the stages? 😳 am currently on my 5th total playthru of the game (2 times on 3ds and 3 times on switch) but theres something deeply wrong with me so ❤
the true first mistake of the game journalists was telling you to be a cool mage, it’s overall smart to do it in the second or first world but that’s it, and energetic is right there

LMAO “Golding levels makes us Way to over powered” I literally went for gold in my casual run because I thought that’s what you were supposed to do! #OverpowerdTeam4Eva
I really wish you explained why the guide was wrong in some areas, but im just left scratching my head on how buying gear as they're requested abd gold flagging stages is a bad thing. Like i have no idea why one would even save money in this game at all when they only thing of consequence you can by is gear for your Miis. I mean, i kinda saved money, i only bought gear for Miis i currently had active, but your wording made it seem like not buying gear immediately for any party member is what experienced players are 'supposed' to do I also wiished you provided explanations on certain things the guides say, if applicable. Why on Earth does it recommend you skip out on chests? Unless the whole "taking literally" bit extended to "if the guide doesnt explicitly state something i wont do it"?
Towards the end of the game some equipment gets expensive so you might want to choose to not spend gold on other miis equipment, and also with the catalogue you can skip having to buy some equipment if multiple miis share jobs. The gold flag thing is because sometimes you've fully explored a level or gotten everything of worth, and it still isn't golden. Also I just don't like to do that because I've full completed this game many times already. As for chests, the guide wants you to save it for later for either one of two reasons. They believe chests will always output equipment (they do no), or they just know you can get marginally more value. If your equipment is too high of a level the chest will just give you money instead of equipment, and the chests in greenhorne dont go that high anyways so it's more enjoyable to just open the chests.

The entire reason you won, the ENTIRE reason the horse whispering killed the dark lord, is because of the 99 friendship with the horse.
Saving the greenhorne chest for later in the game actually helps quite a bit with costs of expensive gear.
Yes, this is true, but also it's like a meh difference. If you're at a certain level of equipment the chest will just give an amount of money equal to like the highest priced gear it gives, and greenhorne chests are cheap
Huh. I didn't know that.
One thing, I often do, is that I never buy or get any gear for the playable mii, as that lets me save money for other characters gear and also for the job, I have intent on using starting the 3rd World/Region/Whatshyacallit

I do the same thing! Gotta get all the shinies, amirite? 🤩
I mean, it's fine if you want to do that, but I just didn't wanna, lol
Now try playing the game exactly how NINTENDO intended it, and I mean having all default roles, and the mii’s used in promotional material.
I bet you that Game Journalism is why Nintendo added the Horse + having to pick out Miis manually instead of everyone being randomly selected.
Game Journalists want everything to be easy and streamlined. That's my theory as to why the Switch made those very weird changes that weren't needed.
your party used to be random? that sounds like it would be annoying sometimes
@@f1redr1ve It still is for the most part. You can't even decide when the horse will team up with you for an attack.
The party wasnt random, the 3ds version just had a survey system for picking npcs instead of the default mii/access code system that it has now
