Thanks so much for watching everyone! What would YOU like to see in Miitopia 2?
Im so glad Bunlith gave your NightmareKart video a shoutout! This is the second video I got to watch from you and I love your enthusiasm!
Wait she did give it a shoutout?? I must have missed that lol.
Anyways, thanks for sticking around, glad you're enjoying the content!
Honestly, this was so good, why don't we make it (In a youtube series)
New monsters!
New and more challenging bosses!
Maybe a difficulty setting and maybe even New Game+ content.
I had an idea for a class themed around being a sleepyhead. Like, their armor is pajamas, and their weapon is a pillow, and their skills are themed around debuffing opponents and being tanky by healing yourself through sleeping.
Edit: how did I get so many likes and comments. Also, an additional idea, they could have the ability to block attacks with their pillow, it wouldn’t negate damage, but it would reduce it.
Oh! And their melee could be something like “pillow fight” which doesn’t do too much damage but debuffs them with sleep!
amazing.
hey, were you the one who posted concept art of a job icon in the miitopia discord a lot of months back for something that sounds very similar to this? If so i wanted to say hi cuz we discussed it in that thread
@@needsometix I’m no artist, and I’m not on discord, so no. But that sounds cool.
So I can just play as Sandy from Brawl Stars.
I'm honestly surprised that there still hasn't been any announcement of a possible sequel considering how popular the game got thanks to the makeup system, and also considering the many problems people have with the balancing of the classes, especially the tank.
Also I really love the idea of finally being able to control all the party members, since that would mean getting rid of one of the biggest problems for me, personality traits exclusive to the non MC mii. For example, cautious miis have 3 quirks, but if your MC is cautious they can only activate one, and it's finisher, which only has a chance of happening if you're using a basic attack against a single enemy with low health. I've read stories of people with cautious MC who didn't know what the personality did until they looked it up online.
It might be me but I feel like full party control should be restricted to the post-game.
you both have a point
full party control is great, but it would be a bit OP so only allowed in post game
I have a class idea: Werewolf. The MII has the ability to shapeshift into his werewolf form (which can also be customized by the player), and attack enemies with claws and teeth, but there’s a drawback, the MII can lose control and might attack a party member, which is up to them to snap the MII out of it. With each level, the MII can learn who to maintain control in werewolf form.
Honestly, what I think should happen should be a having an actually irredeemable antagonist in character. No real tragic backstory or being possessed or the equivalent of a non-sapient monster or the likes, but someone who is just a genuinely terrible person.
Another silly idea in my head would be having the final battle be against the MC and main villain being forcefully fused into some monster thanks to the latter.
As a kirby fan, I'd like to take note that smash bros kirby was actually available all the way back in kirby and the amazing mirror, and the dream collection's challenge stages, but planet robobot DID change normal hammer into hammer flip! So the miis could use their different specials from smash 4 and ultimate respectively!
Yea I knew about amazing mirror, but Robobot felt like the proper complete moveset with hammer flip, so I chose to mention that one instead lol
@@AstralKat fair point there!
Your PFP is PEAK CUTENESS!
I lost my save for miitopia, so i started over recently and decided to make my entire party the characters from 100 kanojo, the issue is many of the characters don't fit particularly well with the jobs available, i want to add jobs like ninja(would have higher dodge chance and attack a single enemy from behind, possibly doing more damage depending on the hp% so they could finish off lower health enemies) and bard(instrument based popstar alternative skin), martial artist, and some unique job ideas, here are some i thought of
Gardener: a role that is a more support focused, being able to use vines to ensnare an enemy doing small damage and skipping a turn, auto grow hp bananas for a chance to not consume it when a banana is used,
athlete(multiple themes for like baseball and tennis): physical attacker with lower defense and higher speed than warrior(which should be renamed to night imo), for one of its abilities it can have a pitching machine that fires at random, and an auto that has a chance to return projectile attacks to the enemy
cowboy: probably wont use guns since nintendo but lasso would work as a good weapon and it could give a buff to the horse abilities,
also i love the idea of pairing miitopia and tomodachi life together and having them interconnect, can you imagine when the kid grows up there is an option to send them to miitopia where you could add them to your party or they could just appear to give quest and items, honestly it'd probably become one of my most played games, i could sink hundreds of hours into that, eventually make a miitopia team of the kids from your island and have them save miitopia, and if you do send them to miitopia and you see them you could send them back to your tomodachi island, there is so much potential here
Glad you liked my ideas!
If I were behind a miitopia sequel I’d wanna make a major shift in the game: I’d want the game to be a strategy game like fire Emblem or Mario + Rabbids. I think the idea of having a bunch of factions sounds like a fun and hilarious twist.
So imagine your kingdom goes to war and you get to customize the other factions your going to war with. One player could set the rival kingdom as being a kingdom of chefs who worship food and then fill it with characters like Gordon Ramsey or a friend they have who likes to cook. Another player could make that kingdom full of a bunch of comedians, or heroes, etc.
Maybe between battles you could also have a medieval tomadachi life “life sim” where your miis are training and living their lives.
Underrated comment
I love the Miis and it's a bummer Nintendo is slowly forgetting about them. I'm not familiar with Miitopia or Tomodachi Life totally thought they were already connected. Miitopia looked a little to simple for me so an expanded sequel with more mechanics would interest me more.
Miitopia is a game that holds a very special place in my heart, through all its flaws and questionable systems. Miitopia just holds so much charm and potential, and a sequel to it has been my most wanted game for a while.
Now this may be asking for too much, but one thing I want to see in Miitopia 2 is layered personalities. I want to be able to choose 2 different personality traits for the Miis. The Miis will get the respective perks and quirks of both traits (there will probably have to be less perks and quirks per trait), but the traits will also create an overall personality for the Miis. For example a Mii with the Stubborn and Energetic traits would have a "Competitive" personality. The overall personality determines how the Miis act in cutscenes and give a few extra perks and quirks. I think this would allow for more character variety and customization that I live for.
We need a Hammer based Job
From a standard bonk, to throwing hammers, to Even causing earthquakes (That also hurt your party members), It could be a great touch!
What if it was a super mario reference? (sorta like the cat class i think)
I like a lot of ideas you have here, and I wanna add a few in myself
A more complex class system: I mean if a mii maxes out a class, they can be promoted, via fire emblem, and some classes you can go into by mastering multiple classes. Example: mastering the warrior and flower will give you the ability to turn into a Gaia Knight.
You're mii having their own special base or kingdom. Having a personal town that you could upgrade and and personalize sounds fun. Here all the miis who aren't in the party could train (to help with the grinding you gotta do) and interact with each other on their own. I was also thinking you could upgrade the base so where you have your own blacksmith (for gear upgrades), a inn (for free), and send miis out on side quests.
Explorable towns and map (I know you said that but just wanted to make sure it's something I really want to see)
And lastly, relationships feeling more personal. I know it's not Tomodachi life, but it kinda bothered me the relationships couldn't be more special between two miis, get what I'm saying?
It would be interesting to potentially see something like a Summoner class, their skills rely on summoning faceless versions of the enemies, which as the Great Sage mentioned in Miitopia, can't be manipulated due to not having a stolen face. Depending on the unit summoned, it could be a temporary ally for a turn or 2, or it could do something that gives an ally a positive status effect or enemies a negative status effect, or it could find something helpful in a pinch, etc.
Miitopia is one of those games I kinda just missed out on. Something I've never played not out of not wanting to, but more just, having a lot of other games to play and just a choice few things that turned me off from it, primarily uncontrollable party members. A lot of these changes actually do fix just about every reason I haven't played this game, and with the genuinely rock solid baseline Miitopia already seems to have, this pitch seems like it could be one of the most fun and easy to pick up RPGs ever. Always love seeing these game design vids, you always do a great Job at analyzing a game's strengths and weaknesses and find great ways to emphasize those strengths while shoring up those weaknesses. Can't wait for the next vid!
YOU HAD ME AT MIITOPIA 2
I’ve always wanted a pirate class in miitopia or a hammer lord
Honestly i think part of the fun of miitopia is only controlling one character. Makes them feel more as their own person rather than just another person under your dominion. Bc the only one controlled is You, your character, and they just have to deal with whatever the party does as well
Also makes it so that when npcs actually pull a clutch move, youre so much more excited bc you just had to hope theyd come through
@@liaminator4950 yea agreed. Thats why I said it would be optional!
I think it's actually a huge turn-off for a lot of people (Persona 3 is a better example of this sort of thing being controversial), and with the illness mechanic affecting the MC in post-game, I think it's just really stupid to have beyond the main storyline.
@@AstralKat got there after i typed it mb :,) but yeah thats jus me two thoughts
19:20 and 19:34 and 20:01 you can cure all negative status effects by using cleric’s calm, flower’s restoring whistle or one at a time through warrior’s slap/snap out of it auto skill
there’s a 50% chance you can stop a mii from getting a negative status effect by a princess or scientist when they use their auto skills blindfold an safety mask respectively :)
you shouldnt have to rely on random chance to stop a negative status effect, especially when theres so many of them, having even 5 sprinkles that cure all would be way better as it wouldnt require a certain party member (only one of which you can control) to cure them
Another incredible game design video from my favorite channel!
I can't tell you how hyped I'd be to see wuhu island return, but also every mechanical change you discuss is well thought out and insightful!
I love the "fired up" idea. I truly believe in the saying "give don't take", while sometimes deliberately taking away from the player can be good storywise, this is a simple mechanic that is not the case and just hurts the flow of a casual RPG. Making an optional gift instead of an undesired nuances fixes that issue while still doing the point of the original mechanic.
Here's how I think the battle UI would work:
Your EXP bar will be showing in the color of it will be green
There will be decimals in your HP
And your max level is 100 or 99
World stuff:
And you go farther in outer space
But you will be mainly at normal outer space
Characters talking:
Instead of them baking bloops and bleeps they will actually have voice lines and there will be a lot of them and it will be ripped from Tomodachi Life and they will have lip sync
I had a couple ideas
Surfer, werewolf, farmer... Surfer would be a sweeping attack with fairly low damage and CRAZY high health werewolf would start to transform after 2 rounds in a battle, healing and getting faster. Farmer would be like a DND druid, calling farm animals for help and using different farm tools for weapons
And imstead of just being able to control your party members... You could suggest to them what you want them to, they would most likely do it, but theres a chance they'll do something else instead! Still random otherwise
I think if the Miis were still going to be controlled by AI it would be cool if it was only in the lower relationship levels. So when you have no relationship with a Mii they’ll always fight on their own, but as your protagonist Mii grows closer they’ll start looking to you for guidance more frequently, letting you control their actions from time to time based on how close you are and by the max relationship level you can fully control them.
Also Having the level design be more like other JRPGs with puzzles and different optional paths you can take to get chests and other rewards would be nice.
My personal take is that you should be able to control every party member in the postgame no matter what, but can only control the MC in the main story.
i like the idea of replacing the illness system with an additive condition instead of a subtractive one
i chose to raise my greenhorne, neksdor, and realm teams in their respective groups so it was annoying when a member in the group i was about to start levelling up just goes down
I would LOVE this! Nintendo! Take notes!
Okay so I wasn’t expecting for when I was writing this comment to say so much and I kinda went off on a tangent so if you don’t like long comments, definitely skip this.
Alright here are my ideas:
Obviously we need the ability to control our other party members, it’s odd that this wasn’t in Miitopia 1.
A mirror enemy that makes one of the members in your party at that current moment (Could even be yourself) come out of its mirror and becomes it’s own enemy with it’s own attacks, it even uses your war cry if it eliminates a party member. I guess it would just be labelled as: Faker _____
Job ideas!:
Every previous job remains in the game however they are reworked to spice it up a tad.
-Unemployed (This is sort of a joke job role made to be intentionally horrible, the basic attack does the same damage as if you were to lose your weapon in Miitopia 1 and there are no MP options. People are always fighting over what is the worst possible role in Miitopia, well now they don’t have to fight. I suppose the only people that would use this role are people who are doing challenge runs.)
-Genie (Imagine how many different moves this has)
-Angel (We already have a demon, oh wait sorry I mean an Imp. Come to think of it can we change the name to demon, actually Nintendo probably wouldn’t because a bunch of religious people might complain, so Imp it shall remain (Sorry to do a bracket inside a bracket but I genuinely did not mean to rhyme there))
-Virus (This is a secret job that is obtained in a way that would seem like a bug. This job is probably for creepypasta enjoyers)
I think there should be a way to combine jobs, then people choose half the moves of one job and half the moves of the other to keep.
Alright here’s where I get into completely unrealistic territory. I want every amiibo to have its own costume, but not just that, it’s own job too. I know this would never happen but hey I can dream right? Imagine having your job being Steve from Minecraft. Or even better Sonic The Hedgehog and his maximum MP move transforms him into Super Sonic. This would definitely be the main selling point of the game, but since most people don’t have amiibos these days, there will of course be a way to get these jobs without amiibo, it’s just with amiibo you would get them straight away and not have to do any grinding.
Okay for a bit of a breather after that, a smaller change would be the Inn being upgraded to a Hotel, there could even be a Mii that jokes about this saying “Wow, the budget’s went up since our last adventure” or something.
Finally, romance. But not just that, drama! Because you can’t have romance in a group without a tiny bit of drama. There were hints to this in Miitopia 1 but nothing ever came of those cutscenes. So when you make a Mii a party member, now there will be an option to make it have a crush on a Mii already in the party, but you can leave this blank. There will also be an option for a rival too. If that isn’t enough, you can make a mini family tree if anyone in the party is related. These would all be able to change later. This could lead to all sorts of character interactions and cutscenes.
I may have forgotten a job I was going to include, it would be an actor job where you can choose if it’s a protagonist or antagonist, it’s moves would just be really cliche stuff that happens in theatre.
Also the jobs could have over world abilities like the knight could give a attack buff before battle or the vampire cloud suck enemy's hp before battle those are just some ideas I can think of right now
My number 1 issue was that there was no hard mode on the original. The final boss, despite me not being overleveled on any of my playthroughs, was basically a complete joke as long as I had a healer. They also need to do a bit of balancing with just about every class by making vampire and elf less op, the mage (along with a few others) not getting just upgraded versions of their moves, making most of their move set useless, making thief actually useful outside of the early game, etc. as well as making the ai party members not outright stupid. I wouldn’t even mind if they made the exact same game as the original but added hard mode + balancing
A hard mode would have been a great addition, I was just looking at actual gameplay aspects in this video, though I do fully agree with you that the AI either needs to be given full control to the player, or the jobs need a massive overhaul, preferably both
If anything, i think we should also just split the Elf into it and a dedicated Archer/Ranger class. The former can be a dedicated support class with the latter being more about reliable long-range single target damage and targeting enemy weak spots/bypassing buffs.
@@InfinitySevens I actually think that’s great but the ranger wouldn’t work as well due to no monsters having weak spots and if they did, other jobs would also have to have something like that incorporated into their movesets. I’d be completely fine with the elf having moves like forest aegis, healing melody, counter arrow, etc. as long as it does very little damage or learns very few attacking moves then I think that would be able to work
@@Joey-nc5cfI think what he means by “targeting enemy weak spots” is like the ability the cool personality has, “Pressure Point”
@@johnnyknadler1157 ohhh that makes more sense
I think a miitopia sequal won't be getting anything i mean technically lore wise miitopia is done but i would have another dlc idea
Miitopia field of shadows dlc
In this you find a mirror
You suddenly get transported into the mirror and find youreself in a reverted world of greenhorne everyone is mad and you need to take the faces off the people you're still youreself but alone throughout you find you're team members and you walk alone in this shadow world and encounter then the queen of shadows when entering the castle she's a diabolical ruler and wants to bring despair over miitopia you fight her and then you're team gets teleported each one into the world and rise and help you take down the queen of shadows
I came up with my own ideas for some jobs a while back. I'll see if I can remember them all.
Pilot
Librarian
Separate scientist into Chemist, Robot, and Astronaut
Fisher
Ninja
Defender (sheild user)
Explorer (Indiana Jones w/ whip)
Magician
Artist
Banker
Meteorologist
Butterfly
I'm pretty sure I made up everything after "defender" as I was trying to remember my list. Oh well.
Here’s someone that I just randomly thought of right now I might add more to this list later as I think of them
Pirate
Alien
Engineer of some kind
Doctor (this one might be redundant because of the other healing classes, but I don’t care. I want my miis to canonically have gone through medical school)
Zoologist (I don’t know what this one would do, but animals are funny)
Blacksmith
Clown
I had a concept for a dlc for Miitopia where you can go to level 100 in jobs, and explore different towers and gauntlets. Though as for Miitopia 2, id like to see new personalities such as something like relaxed, irritable, or something new. New jobs of course, something like a librarian with various books that do d8fferent attacks... theres endless possibilities. I did like what the original game did for one section where you explored the captured castle greenhorne and 8t had battles that were encountered outside of the normal levels. Baseline, we need new personalities, foods, music, jobs, controllable party members, as well as a proper shop that you can use to buy weapons, clothes, grub, and for the hell of it bananas and candies. They also should get rid of the mistake buying situation, as well as sicknesses like you said. Take all that and weve got a miitopia sequel. Though as for an interesting villain, i think it coild be fun to explore the sequel's villain as the main Protagonist of the first game. Maybe they were constantly praised as a hero and they let it get to their head, they got comfortable in their new life and more or less became corrupted not by a separate entity, but their own ambition. They used all their trust earned from saving everyone to make them in charge of miitopia, under their rule and desires. It might not be a realistic choice seeing as the Protagonist of miitopia is generally very selfless.... but even the most selfless can get overtaken by desires and ambitions. It would be an interesting way to expand. We could see some of the original party members come together alongside new ones to fight off the mii who started it all. I dont know. Miitopia 2 would have endless possibilities
I really loved the ideas in this video, they were all unique and would serve as an amazing purpose in the game! One thing that I do want in the next Miitopia game is the ability to change the gender of the different roles like having there be a prince instead of a princess or having the fab fairies be brothers instead of sisters I wanted to do something but couldn't because I was locked to a specific gender. It would also be nice if the look of the hair, clothes ect changed color depending on the mii's natural hair and favorite color that you chose for that role, it would make the character look more natural at least for me anyway.
I wanted to bring up what you said about the ghost job. I would love it if if was like a thing where we go to a haunted mansion and fight ghost, it could be a through back to Luigi's Mansion! and the rewards could be the Poltergust 5000 that your mii's could use as a weapon. You could flash enemies to stun them for a short period of time, use the dark light to find hidden items while fighting, use the suction to suck up objects to throw at enemies and blow smaller enemies off the battle field! You'd also unlock the ghost class which could be used to trick enemies into fighting each other, go invisible to avoid an attack, scare enemies into a nightmare like how mii's can be scared and much more!
I also have an idea for some jobs to be added. The first one would be the Magician job! With this job, you can make weapons appear out of thin air and give them to a party member who has gotten their own weapon taken away from them or the ability to make an audience of enemies watch a magic show, the more party members that join in the show, the greater the effect! oh and the magician can throw a carrot towards the enemies, spawning a giant rabbit to appear walking or running all over the enemies to get the carrot, causing great damage! or using cards to slice enemies and so much more! Speaking of Bunny, that's the next job I want to add. With the bunny job you can spawn in candy eggs that you or your party members can use to get their HP up if it gets to low, you can also through easter eggs at the enemies to do damage or use a carrot. I was going to go ALOT more in depth with these next jobs but if I did, this comment would get way to long so I'll just list them. Farmer, Bunny, Bear, Toy Maker, Doll, Librarian, Angel, Dog, Dino,
I'd also like other options for pets to have on your team. I really like the horse and the overall concept very much but I'd like to be able to pick between all kinds of animals.
I'll stop this comment here, I don't want it to turn into my What I Want In Tomodachi Life 2/ Sequel again because that was THE longest comment that I've ever commented. But um if you read this, thanks and have a good one! Oh and Congratulations, you have a new Subscriber! :)
Im really glad you enioyed the video! Thanks for such detailed thoughts! I hope you stick around for future content :)
@@AstralKat I definitely will! And I watched your older videos and really enjoy your content! I'm excited for the next video but you just take your time.

Still waiting for said Miitopia DLC or Sequel (coping)
Ever since i played Wii Sports Resort, & they have that entire island(s) full of activities that are all connected due to being actually mapped out, i always wished i could actually walk around and explore Wuhu island, but the best you can do for that is the plane or bike minigames. I really want a game like miitopia & or tomodachi life with a world like that.
AND i want to play AS my mii, especially in Tomodachi life's case, i don't want to be an outsider looking in, i want to be directly a part of it and be able to infuence things more instead of just being forced to be a bystander.
As for Miitopia, I love the switch version because of the makeup feature, but this game was MADE for the dual screen, it was so much easier to use the safe spot, sprinkles, etc, with touch screen on the 3DS. Maybe It would've been way better if they added Hotkeys for the Sprinkles, safe spot, enemy status & all that instead of having to open & navigate a menu every time.
ive always thought of a dlc for miitopia
you can 'evolve' jobs (im calling them raises because.. y'know, jobs.. and when you get raises, you get.. more money.. and more power.. heh..]
like, for example, the warrior could become a paladin (kinda a mix of warrior and cleric)
im not sure how you'd obtain them, maybe just 'oh get max level and the best gear for them!'
not sure tho...
I think miitopia would bee more fun to expand different styles of gameplay then just do a turn based RPG again. you mentioned exploring maps while adventuring, and I cannot help but think having jobs with unique map effects would make exploring them very fun then only mattering in battles. having the game more action oreinted or rpg action oriented would be a fun experimentation to mess around with. especially if you can customise how a character acts while running around or even attacking. like a soldier class could walk around the map very bravely, but entering battle he cowers and he swings his sword in a wimpy fashion. it would help bring out even more personality then just what the turn based battles brought.
For a sequel I had the idea of well new place to visit with the team 15 island or plus to be visited with each having a ruler on it and those ruler where supposed to be the one saving Miitopia but they got cursed by the dark emperor and they betrayed the holy spirit and stole some of his power (some job i thought of are those power) like the pirate/reaper/angel/builder/boxer/smash bros and at the third island we will see the great sage with the spirit and they would join us for the adventure(they playable) and the island have there own theme and city with new thing like a shop and a restaurent and yeah new Personnality and more amiibo costume and new monster for the team we could degorate the in and the room make it explorable so you can talk to you're team and at the start one of the ruler or the dark emperor will stole all our power/level/armor/weapon/stat so it's not weird the fact we are level one with zero weapon or armor even tho we fought the god damm sun. And for the ruler they could have all the job in the game and we can make some of them trying to resist the curse and they would be the only human boss and the only boss with two phase one where there human and the other be the one where the curse take control of them and become monster that represent there feelling. For the combat way i wanted to do combo attack when you use it you can choose beetween one or all the teamate in the fight but it cost more mp,for those combo it depend on job like if you do a combot with the princess/popstar/scientist jobs the scientist create a filler of magic and he use his two formula attack while the popstar use there out of tune and the princess use her royal wave and when tge filler is full it throw a big royal wawe fuse with the music and formula attack all ennemy (you can think of the other combo) .
It took 40 minutes to write that yap section
We need an option to expand the amount of party members you can bring on one single trip! Like when you have 5 party members you want to train but you can only bring 4!! And also if a friend group has 5 members and one of these members plays miitopia and most silly moments happen on trips that only allow 4 members! We also need a multiplayer option!!
If they added most of the relationship stuff from tomadachi life (def mest up the name lol) to the mii topia inns after each mission, they game would be so much better than it already is. Another thing is making more dynamic armors and weapons, like making weapons that deal high dmg but lower accuracy, make weapon crit often with less normal dmg and armors that block certain negative effects.
Idea for a third Tower of Dread (Tower of Desolation):
* GF: 8 Demonic Butterflies
* 2F: Serious General
* 3F: 3 Toxic Fungi
* 4F: Nightmare Sword and Chaos Shield
* 5F: 4 Sacred Harpies
* 6F: 4 Scorching Cyclones
* 7F: Blue Moon (Moon version of Dark Sun)
* Apex: King Twerkey
I think, for the ai, it could get better as it leveles up, as well as all the things mentioned. However, having ai gives the idea that these mii are not just another you, and as frustrating as that can be, its quite nice too
Mhm, thats why I said it should be optional
Hear me out sub classes pretty much once you gain a high enough level you can pick a sub class giving you unique skills like an ice slash instead of a fire one
Also backstories could be interesting and replace the elf and vampire class
My new classes wishlist Is:
-ogre
-gnome
-angel
-clown
-giant
-brawler/ fighting monk
-pirate
-sportsman
-gunslinger
-artist
-hybrid human-dragon
-demi-god
Just give us a cowboy class. (I want to use joker’s neutral special)
I think there may be one issue with making controlling all your party members optional: the fights would be harder to balance. Either they can become too easy if you can control everyone, either they can become too hard if you just want to control your character and let the ais do things. Controlling the full party could be something you unlock in the post game that is harder, or maybe as a hype moment at the start of the final boss. Like your party members don't know what to do so they turn to you, and you get the opportunity to control them. Of course, another way to improve the frustration of your party member doing something dumb would be to simply improve the AI so they don't lose a turn healing when they could attack and either let the fight end with the next mii or let the healer in the party heal (maybe that part got improved on the switch, but on the DS I have to make my healing mii be faster than the others otherwise these morons keep healing themselves before the healer can)
A thing that could be nice tho, is to pick which mii you'll control before leaving the inn. Like that if you're playing the game for the first time and don't really know how each classes work, you can get a better idea of how a class work, and if you realize that a class you gave to a npc would work better if you're the one controlling it (or if you realize the class you're controlling is too boring for you to play it), you can switch without having to start from scratch. It may also allow more srategizing? following the boss or smaller zone, a class would work better than the others against the ennemies, and you could switch to playing that class. It would also allow you to play parties without your mii for leveling, and when you have story points where your party get split, you can still have control. Because I'll admit, it was frustrating when I'd have all my companions to chose from and I wanted to just level up a few of them but would have no other choice than to take my mii with them
Changing the sick system for this fired up system does sounds like a good idea! I like how the sickness could sometimes lead you to have to rethink your party for a bit, but it's true that forcing the change isn't ideal, so that fired up system would be a good way to make you chose to do it. I also really like the idea of having a tomodachi life aspect to the game, it really could help with fleshing out the characters relationship and personalities even more, and making you more attached to them. Someone in the comments mentionnedt he idea of a more complex personality system where you give two traits to make the mii personality, which sounds like a good idea! Tomodachi Life has a more "complex" personnality system, so this miitopia 2 that doubles as a tomodachi life 2 could take inspiration from it. Little missions in the tomodachi life part of the game so you can make money and busy our party members you're not using in the late game would be fun too. They could bring back money and a little gift that can be more money, food, bananas/mp candies, or gear/weapon (they could say it was a gift from the quest giver or that they bought themselves the gift with some of the money following their personnality. It's pure flavor text but would make it more unique). Also, taking some inspiration from Wildermyth, you could have special missions, both for tomodachi life and the post game, that are linked to a party member personality. You'll have to take the party member with that personality in the mission, but you can add any other members, which brings us back to pushing for you to explore new way to set up a party. That and/or missions related to a class. In this scenario though, the mii you control can only be the one with the personality/class of the mission (it would also mean that the ennemies in the mission should be tailored specifically for that personality/class, since there will be no other choice for the player than to bring them along. Could even make it so that you need a specific skill from the personality/class to be used to defeat the boss of the mission, so even if that personality trait or class is a bit less desirable in a regular playthrough, it can still shine in that mission).
also re: pick the mii you control at the inn, it could make it more fun, because you're not limited to the one class and personnality you picked, you can jump around and make it less monotonous
So Matt from wii sports is the boss to the postgame story, right?
Can you also make it a downloadable PC game or something? i cant put mods on my switch
Okay, here's a problem with your creative idea to combine Tomadachi Life and Miitopia. Money. Nintendo loves to make a lot of games and charge them at full price or create DLC for previously established games, so why would they change their tune now?
Splatoon and Mario Party, Sports, and several other games follow this example, there are a lot of games that individually aren't bad, but why would anyone want to pay full price for each of them individually when a lot of the ideas presented in those games would honestly work better if they were all blended together into one great big game. Maybe make separate games or split them up into multiple games that are locked behind paywalls or DLC just like they did before more often than just giving a few couple updates and being done with that, especially when I think the quality of life or various parts of a game that were absent from a previous version should always be a part of the base game and there definitely should be like a manual for all developers of what the basic features of any game should have.
My point is that Nintendo could execute this idea, but if they really needed to satiate their money hunger and lust, then they could just put it up as a free game that you then had to pay for either or both games and you only got a free demo for either version. This would be a lot more substantial than what a company like Valve does with their community cosmetics, and anyway, many people have created free games and game modes like Vs. Saxton Hale, and it would definitely be a lot better of an effort being put forth than either just updating a game, putting out a fighter's pass, or leaving a game out to dry just because it is not worth maintaining in the eyes of Nintendo (which I cannot blame them for some games, but for others, they are definitely burning money).
Overall, I would love it if Miitopia and Tomadachi Life were blended, when I was younger I definitely would've loved to have seen that in a new release, and anyway, when you have two ideas that can go well together, put them together to avoid the future clutter and additional work you'll have to put in to make each game recognizable to a casual audience. Because no casual parent will be able to recognize every specific version of a game that their child wants, much less casual friends and other relationships with other people with a hardcore fan of Nintendo. If Nintendo really wants to be more casual-friendly, maybe do not make so many different games that could all be one game.
I do think that a lot of your ideas are basically what a lot of other people have been requesting for years now, but I do not mark it against your video. If anything, you being one of a thousand more voices makes these more widespread than ever before because I do not think that any other person or TH-camr around where you reside on the internet has ever brought up any of these ideas, or if they have then they were definitely a lot more unclear with what they wanted or they were clear-ish with what they wanted, they, however, did not think in the same way as you did. Actually, I do think that you were probably a lot more original with your ideas, especially with the integration of other Mii games and I agree with your assessment that the Miis effectively need a renaissance of sorts, because as far as I'm concerned Nintendo is definitely trying to forget them. I have no idea why Nintendo would want to forget the Miis, but I do not like it.

personalities need rebalancing in miitopia 2
cause in miitopia eveyone just picks cool and energetic due to those personalities havig no disadvantages
Cool is incredibly overpowered, yeah. Funny how I accidentally chose that as my miis personality on my first run
No stupid party stealing breaking the pace.
a miitopia modder was already creating something of the sort with the whole find mii quirk, but it's still in base miitopia so a lot of the other aspects you suggested probably aren't happening.
i think that miitopia 2 can't happen and definitely WON'T happen because one, nintendo is lazy, and two, they left it off at a point where it just wouldn't make sense to have another game, even if the whole thing wasn't about stealing faces. if miitopia 2 DID happen though, i wish it would actually have a better combat system because while the one in og miitopia works, i'm REALLY used to modern persona combat and it feels really good
I think the job system needs some tweaking,
because if you change, you start from scratch!
You're equipment? CAN'T EQUIP!
Your levels? GONE!
That is super annoying!
Also, No more resets!
I'm tired of getting to a new area and being reset back to level one with no allies!
WHY DID THEY DO THAT!?!
They don't reset your level and equipment, it's just saved for *that specific class* if a warrior changes to a cat, they still have all their warrior weapons and stuff, it's like starting a new save files without deleting your old one
Jobs are saved when you switch classes, a level 21 mage swapping to tank will still be a level 21 mage when they switch back. and the resetting with no allies thing was kind of the whole point of introducing new jobs to the table without making you insanely overlevelled
Your* also why it makes this game unique and better
This is an unpopular opinion, I like the illness system
It IS annoying at times, yes, but it gets me to think more about utilizing Miis I found as weak or dumb AI wise and having hope in them which sometimes works, also it's realistic, I like realism in some games (I say "some" because platformers shouldn't have fall damage, Pac Man World 2 clearly didn't get that message), which is why I kinda hate how illnesses work in Tomodachi Life
To make us all happy though, I say the illness system should only be tweaked JUST enough to where it serves its purpose and isn't as annoying, I say it should maybe be a rare occurrence, not so rare that you'll only have it happen ONCE in a whole year of playing, that would make it redundant, I say as rare as the base odds for an Ultra Wormhole Shiny in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, 1/100, still rare, but not RIDICULOUSLY rare (or 1/200 if 1/100 is too common), I don't really know how else I can make it less annoying, does anyone have any ideas!?
Also, I say the sprinkles and the safe spot should actually be a little nerfed, they make the game a little too easy in my opinion
The post game, I hate the daily part, but I love how even though they're all basically the same, they're also INFINITE, I'd just want more quest VARIATION and have them show up more often, but that's about it
I had an idea to replace it with a fatigue mechanic that instead debuffs Mii stats across the board and gives everything they do a chance to just fail outright. There'd also be a percentage that increases the chance of this fatigue from occurring that stacks over the course of a Mii being deployed (MC would always have this at 0% until postgame) and decreases the longer the Mii is undeployed.
This also means you can still level up relationships or give them grub, of course.
@@InfinitySevens I actually love that, like they're still sick, but you can choose for them to temporarily pull through for a bit
I beat Miitopia on the 3ds,I stillneed to beat the switch version. It’s just been taking me so long because I have so many other games I need to finish. 😢
