This has inspired me to do a solo run!

I have played the hell out of Tomodachi Life. I remember watching LinandKo play through it and when a global release was announced, I was stoked. For Miitopia, I heard of that game through a former friend, back when it was Japan-only. So when the Casting Call demo was released, I played it as much as I could until I got the full game a few months after release. So when the remaster was announced, I was stoked. Got it Day 1 after all that. :P Funnily enough, I couldn't preorder the game by itself, but I could preorder the game and get a bonus of a pad of sticky notes! So I got that.

11:45 I remember having a catious princess mii deal over 100 damage pretty early game because of this buff. They were happy, warmed up, and on a horse, and it was insane. And it was only in citrus cave, where your high rolls are, like, 20 damage.

11:45 I think the darkest lord has an odd mechanic revolving around this. As you know, the warrior's proud defender skill will make them defend against and physical attacks from the opponent. This also applies to the darkest lord's basic attack. However, this does not affect the theif's booby trap. That leads me to question if that attack is coded differently or if the booby trap and proud defender just have separate lists of what classifies as a physical attack. My theory is that each skill that revolves around a type of attack simply has a separate list of enemy attacks, as opposed to each attack being physical or magic. On the topic of the booby trap, I also think enemies are more likely to use a physical attack on miis with it up. I don't know for certain, but its definitely there to make sure you don't feel like that turn was wasted.

8:48 Actually, the broom isn't the only one. I remember noticing something like this with another mii on a recent replay. I'm pretty sure it was a chefs dagger with a theif mii, but I can't remember for certain. I know it wasn't the broom for sure, but I wonder how many other non-cat claw weapons change color.

Wait, people don't know that miis can get 3 bananas/candies in the inn? Do people just not buy those? I seriously don't understand how people can not notice this unless they simply don't buy bananas. MP candies I can kinda understand because you almost never need to buy them, but do people just not buy bananas?

Fun fact about the first one: this also applies to tomodachi life. Some costumes like the Arabian-prince outfit or the Wild-pop-star outfit will give that same undershirt if given to a female mii

Fact: did you know that doing the darkest Lord boss fight will INSTANTLY heal any sick team mates

In the European French version of the game, the Dark Lord is known as "Avatar du Mal", while the Darker Lord is known as "Avatar du Pire". When you apply the appropriate translations, his name literally goes From Bad to Worse! Anyway, the Italian translation has the default Lovey-Dovey Couple be named Romeo and Juliet, referencing Shakespeare, while European English has them be Harry and Sally, referencing When Harry Met Sally. Way better than whatever American English gave them...

The entire reason you won, the ENTIRE reason the horse whispering killed the dark lord, is because of the 99 friendship with the horse.

I only found out about this game in 2021 when I went to my cousins house I got there at like 9/10pm and one of my cousins was doing the princess gorilla battle (with only pop stars) and over the next few days I played it up to where the friends get taken at the end of greenhorn then like a month or two later I bought it and jumped head first into the small fan base

5:42 Fun fact: If you exit the "Eat grub" menu after you feed a mii an unliked food and then re-enter the "Eat grub" menu, you can feed the mii the disliked food again. No second food required.

You can also have your Miis pose with the various monsters in the game within the journal! Does that do anything practically useful whatsoever? No, but I thought it was pretty cute and silly. And what’s more Miitopia than that? :3

there's actually this one event I just got in one of my previous save files in Miitopia 3DS (emulated btw) and it's VERY rare to happen in the game, which I'm pretty sure not everyone got it in this event if all of your Miis fall in low health (no criteria was given but it'll most likely happen when one of your Miis fall below 50% health), one of the Miis will share their banana with everyone, the Miis who got the shared banana will gain relationship exp with the Mii who shared their banana I'd say this is a fun fact but again, this is a very rare chance to happen

The different levels of mounted attack actually have different animations such as a small impact effect when the horse kicks. Also when a laid back mii activates avenge they don’t get angry or start crying

Good video, I've been playing Miitopia since it's release on the 3DS and you introduced me to quite a lot of facts. My personal favourite niche fact that many people know about is the the Princess' Escort ability has the ability to stop spread damage moves from hitting it and adjacent Miis, and is the only dodging move that I am aware of the has this unique skill. (Backflip from the Thief and the dodge skill from Cool Mii's both dodge the attack but the spread damage still affects the adjacent Miis)

Something I found out recently is that a stubborn mii can refuse the pop star’s skills “love & peace,” which can lead to the pop star having a quarrel with that mii. Ironic that an ability to end quarrels can lead to another one starting

Tomodachi Collection (and Tomodachi Life as well) are meant to be slow-paced games. The entire point of the game is making an island of miis that you then live life alongside, checking in on them every so often and growing with them. It's meant to be slow-paced since the entire game is a life-simulator. And the troubles not appearing on every mii overnight is completely normal. Pretty much all aspects of the game you criticised you did because of the game being what it is supposed to be. The slowness is there for a reason. It adds to making everything feel like life. The whole premise of the game is you are god on a random island, do whatever. I will agree with you on the lack of content since Tomodachi Life has way more stuff. You are however wrong with the lack of stuff being what made it never leave Japan. It was actually because Nintendo couldn't figure out the voices in any language but japanese. Then again, for what the game is, the amount of stuff you have is enough. The Pawn Shop is unlocked by winning 10 minigames and getting the assets from those. Tomodachi Life has a bunch nore mechanics and general things to do but it has the exact same slowness as Collection. For most of the video you just fundamentally misunderstood the enitre point and existence of the game. It's meant to be very slow and a relaxing life experience. I really hope you play Tomodachi Life one day too. It's an improvement on Collection in every way (the compatibility tester still doesn't allow same genders) and I also really hope you can look at the games for what they are.

Alternate title: Crafter fundamentally misunderstands the existence of Tomodachi Collection for 12 minutes.
