This transmission uses a much lighter oil for lubrication. Grease would actually prevent that oil from getting to the bearings. Instead I used an oil soluble grease
Where is everyone ordering the parts from. My front yoke is pretty wore. I am slowly rebuilding 205c. Someone also welded on one of the shifting rods so will probably buy a set from JB Fab.
So I started watching your videos when I was going to build my first dodge ram 5.9 motor but I’ve been amazed by some of the things that you do and I’m like minded as well and I can’t remember which one you pulled the tree hand trick on and that was pretty good lol but I can’t wait to see what you get for all your work on true spirit because I think a lot of people know what kind of work you do and it’s all documented so far so you could probably get a ment for the truck when you’re done or are you really like me and just keep it for yourself which is what I’m doing with my 1998 Ram 1500 from the ground up restoration ??? Your videos really helped me more than anything else on TH-cam so please keep up the videos and great work man thanks
awesome video you saved my ass!!!
Thank you! Very thorough. Starting a ford this morning and now have much more confidence.
Nice video. The retained bearings in that kit are awesome!
Why didn't you use High Temp Grease, when installing the needle bearings, to keep the needle bearings in place?

I'm hoping it will be the last truck I own.
I thought shims go behind the bearing, not in front.
I wish I could put that np205 behind my Allison 1000 that's in my 08 duramax gmc sierra
Man, no beeps...
