I have been working at my parents restaurant since I was in sixth grade and couldn’t do any extracurriculars until spring season of 10th grade. My school doesn’t have much clubs because it’s under resourced and only has sports and music and 2 honor societies. I am currently doing track and cross country but I started late and probably won’t be too good at but I like them a ton. I am ranked 1 in my school and my school has never sent anyone into an Ivy League except for this one student who got recruited for Cornell. I am FGLI, do you think I still have a chance at Princeton for QB? I don’t know what I should do. I’m a current rising junior. I’ll be studying for the PSAT and SAT while doing dual enrollment classes this summer. While also having fun of course.

What's up?! :) And of course, you still have a chance! The important thing is doing the most given what resources you have, so definitely bring up the context of your situation as a FGLI student. Control what you can, so definitely challenge yourself with tough courses, do well in them, do well on the tests, make friends and get good relationships with teachers, and pursue your extracurricular interests, whether outside of school, joining a club, or making new ones! You got this!

    Hi Arnold,
You might remember me/my cmts in ur other vids. Im from Nepal and I have almost little to no resources but Yale is my dream. And, I really need some tips for ECAs because the schools here offer nothing like that. Its just go to school take compulsory classes come back and that's it.
But, As a Yale aspirant I tried doing some things on my own. Like,
    1) I LOVE poetry so I'm working on it and will be publishing a book this year (hopefully, I'm in 11th grade so if i don't manage this year then another year )
    2) I work for a travel agency company. I organize and conduct the meetings, make brochures and, templates and, check for tickets and stuff etcc.
    3) I founded a club called S.R.H. ( Sexual and reproductive health ) club. I organize programs in different schools and aware students about sexual and reproductive health as it is still a taboo in my country.
    4) Im doing a research on my own on how algorithms of search engines works. Hopefully, I will manage to get it published.
( I want to double major in comp sci and creative writing) Please tell me if I'm on the right track and if there's any advice that would really help me a lot. I honestly don't know what else to do. I wish schools here offered some things to do.
