    I had singles years 2, 3, and 4, but I never understood room draw (TD). I was 4th floor for the last two years -- not optimal.

    Hi, I have a quick question. Does Yale allow students to fast track their degree or essentially graduate a year or two early based on the amount of classes they take during each school year? Thanks!

    • @ArnoldSetiadi
      @ArnoldSetiadi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hello! To answer your question, there are very very few people who do this. For the most part, everyone graduates after 4 years of Undergrad!!

    Hello, thank you for the vidio. My daughter will attend the YSS, and will get the standalone single. Apparently most of the YSS students will be housed as Berkely/grace Hopper and one more college (name escpase me). In that case, I am curious if most of the stand alone single rooms are right next each other? I mean if my daughter's single is the only standalone single and the right next room is a large suite with many suitemates, isn't it hard for her to mingle with new friends at the beginnning under the circumstances no suite mates for her (in a stand alone single)? If the stand alone singles are right next each other, I think they can be friends with each other easily and I can be relieved :)

    • @ArnoldSetiadi
      @ArnoldSetiadi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for the support! For Yale, it really depends since there are 14 different residential colleges with all different housing systems. Generally, I would say freshmen housing is pretty nice. I have a dorm tour video of my first year dorm as a Pierson student! :)

    So do you have to go outside when you move between entryways, or is the building connected inside? How does it work?

    • @ArnoldSetiadi
      @ArnoldSetiadi  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can go outside but the entryways are also connected via the downstairs basement as well as via an attic area thingy...

    Hello quick question, is there anyway I can room with friends as a first year? For example if me and my friends got accepted to Yale could I request to be in the same suite as them? and is it guaranteed?

    • @ArnoldSetiadi
      @ArnoldSetiadi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Shahad! So I'm inclined to say no - when I submitted the dorm form I'm pretty sure Yale wants you to be assigned randomly and meet new people. I do know that you can mention specific requests in the form and talk to your Residential College Dean - that being said, the only way you could live in the same suite first year is if you're in the same Residential College. Hope that helps!

    • @ArnoldSetiadi

      Bonnie Lee Hey Bonnie! For the most part, no. But each residential college has its own kitchen that you can use! Most students just eat from the dining halls.

    I have heard that Yale goes for coed suites. Is there anything for gender separation thing like any residential college based on one gender only?

    • @ArnoldSetiadi
      @ArnoldSetiadi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! There isn't such a thing for gender separation for specific residential colleges, but you can note in the housing form about your gender preferences for suite life! :)

      @@ArnoldSetiadi thank you so much for replying here. There's one more question and that is about the age limit for undergraduate programs. For how many years Yale accepts the gap in studies? Please reply. I already know about Yale mature student program that is for those who completed high school for more than five years. Please tell me as I will be having 3 years of gap by the commencement of classes in 2023.

      @@ArnoldSetiadi I got confused while reading about the mature student program at Yale. They have written that this program is for those who are out of the college for more than 5 years. So I think it may imply that below the told amount of gap years, the application will be processed like those of the people's who don't have any gap year. Correct me anytime if you find anything concerning this. Thank you loads.
