Why would you recrystallize 2-naphthol in an ice bath. if anything you should of put it in an insulated container to produce larger more pure crystals.atleas if your goal is to have the purest product possible.I understand you said you would recrystallize it latter but what is the point of doing a half ass job now only to go back and do more work.
