I love geenis white 720p cam the only negative is 2way talk is barely able to be heard but live feed is instant and wide angle picture quality is amazing. I hope 2 way talk is better or louder on the 1080p version.

Hi great video, it educated me enough to go with this brand. Just got today and it has good HD video quality in both day and night. My version allows me to turn night vision off which I needed because of the glare from window but once I did that it has very clear view. I had no problem with set up or adding my wife to view from her phone (we both have androids). It's easy to play back recording and even send a screenshot or video to phone storage. Definitely recommend this brand.
Hey, I am not sure if you have this sorted out yet, but the infrared lights are how it sees at night, you can turn them off by going into the device basic settings and turning IR Night Vision off. I hope this helps!! I know you wont be able to see much, but you may capture more with it off than with the light bouncing back. You could also buy a motion light to illuminate the area if there is movement to get a better picture.
unfortunately, this particular version of Geeni Look app don't have option to turn off the IR light. so if you have your camera pointing outside behind the window, it is useless at night since, IR light reflect off the window and you can't really see anything.

@@SamsCube You could try using some electrical tape or something to have the camera sensor right up against the glass and not receiving the IR light from the IR emitters. Either tape the sensor directly up against the glass might be good enough, or maybe roll up some of the tape and place it around the sensor, and then tape it to the glass. The point is, the IR light is reflecting off the glass into the sensor, so if you eliminate any open space between the sensor and the glass, it shouldn't be able to glare the image.
How can I make the SD stay inserted I have one in white but the SD doesn’t stay inside doesn’t make click or anything I even tried putting tape to hold it from coming out works for few days then it just stops and says SD not found
I have one installed inside the car port outside. It gets minus 20 cel no problem You can shut off IR night vision lights and indicator light in settings. But in dark it will not see motion etc.. I use a sensor light that helps .All good just bought a 2nd camera from walmart. I recommend this camera mine is 720p you can also get HD. 720p is about $28.00 HD camera is about $48 in Ontario CANADA walmart. You will need a sd card up to 128 gb if you want to record events. without the sd card you can only view live video. when using a sd card the oldest recording will be overwritten as time goes by with new recording etc.. Note the sd card is only viewable in your phone so do not try removing card to view video on a computer. Get a 32 gb card thats all you really need. Cheaper at Walmart then Amazon so far. PS> I also have 2 wze cameras. They only have recording of 12 seconds then need 5 minutes to cool down. A Lot of stuff is missed during their cool down time. They have a new version thats not in CANADA yet. Only way to get them is through Amazon when the time comes. Geenie is better for this reason unless you want to pay monthly to get longer recording from the cloud. Not me.
I love the Geeni cams...I have the 720p version. I got rid of all my other Brands like the Cori Momentum which takes 10mins to load a live feed. The Geeni is instant. Have owned all my cams Geeni as well for over a year. I'm going Geeni from now on. Price is cheap too.

@@neveroffended45 you need memory card to record anything. (unless you pay for cloud storage) once it is recorded on your memory card, then you can copy it the video to your phone.

And what i need is for it to record 24/7 and have the capability of going back to check/save / send footage if necessary . It's a security camera for inside of a mobile home park near the office to help monitor dangerous driving and stuff of that nature . Btw your video was very helpful in me setting it up and you did a perfect job in step by step instructions with visual aids simultaneously

I have no idea. power bank is usually used to re-charge the battery device. so i am not sure if it is going to work since the camera doesn't have battery. i guess you can welcome to try it but i don't recommend it.
@@SamsCube I actually did plug the camera in and it powered it, combine that with the wifi around my building I got a little portable camera now that can last quite a few hours on bank. Only issue I see with these cameras is they run very hot to the touch after prolonged use, plugged in normally or into the bank.
Yes. It needs to be plugged in and connected to WiFi to work. You want the camera to be ON all the time so that it will monitor the area when you are not home.
Yes once you add an sd card. You can setup continuous recording or set it to only record motion. Ours is set to continuous and we get about four days of footage. We have one in our house and two in our store. In the app when you are viewing the camera you'll see the playback option. Under that you'll see record. You just tap record when playing the video and it records.
My sentinel HD camera won’t connect to my wifi only more. Was hooked up to it like a month & now nothing, I tried resetting camera & still will not connect 😡😩. Any ideas that will help me? 🤞🏽

Jen Of All Trades I returned mine and got new ones. The new ones didn’t connect either. I changed some settings on my router regarding security settings and it worked
@@shaunagivens7155 It depends on who your internet service provider is.. if you have Xfinity you can download the X5 app then in there manage your network then create a 2.4. your devices will automatically switch between both depending on which has a better connection
This was the most frustrating thing I ever tried to set up in my life....It would ONLY connect to my phone....once the phone is out of range from the security camera, it's useless. Aren't you supposed to monitor the camera from a remote location...isn't that the point?
Dan O'Brien yes. You are supposed to see the camera from remote places. When you first run the app, it will ask you to create an account. Once you do that, you are able to connect to the app and see your cameras from anywhere long as you have data services or WiFi. I suggest trying to reset the camera and setup again from the start.
@@SamsCube I am, if you are on 5gz the app prompt that you are in the wrong connection... The app received an update, now it doesnt even show AP mode, instead they replaced for an advanced and then qr code, which also doesnt fix it... =/ cant find a solution online too.
I wonder if it's your brand of Cell phone. I have had 2 different brand phones and both have worked fine for me for over a year, but that's not the case with everyone. Good luck. The 720p cam is a great cam if you get it to work.
@@inegma29 I actually found a solution for it... I tried every single possible way, and nothing worked while trying to set up with my android phone, then I tried with an iPhone, and it worked. One the iPhone, I was able to make the camera read the QR code.
@@ChrisFlorit that tends to happen on items I have purchased too when it doesn't work on Android it will almost always work on iPhone. Although I love Android . How do you like the cams?
@@donmcclure7487 almost all the wifi router, you can set your wifi band to 2.5gh. so you should check your wifi router setting at home. for my home, i have wifi band set up for both 2.5gh and 5g, so i can choose between them.

It works good outside. One of my cameras have been outside facing my parking lot. Works good.

all you need is the app to view live recording on your smart phone. the SD card goes inside the camera itself. not in your smart phone.

BWB I have 32Gb. It gets me about 1 week of recording until it starts over again. So bigger the card, longer you can keep the videos.

Mine won't work at all I've tried restarting my router and everytime I tried to set it up I was standing next to my router it still won't work

There is link for SD card you can purchase in description. Remember bigger the memory, longer it will save your videos.

only thing i can think of it is.. if you wifi is hidden, it won't work. also make sure wifi is running 2.4GHz, not 5Ghz

hiding your wifi ID is another security measure you can setup in your wifi. Do turn that on in your Router.

Only works on 2.4Mhz band. Will not connect to the 5Mhz band
Connect it using the 2.4 band first and you can still control it after switching your phone back to the 5

jonny gixxer 750 bay bay you can take out the SD card from the camera and download the video to your laptop that way.

Somebody knows why i can't wacht my videorecording in my cellphone? It supose save the videos but i can't find them.
make sure you have SDCard in the camera. make sure it is formated using the app.
