Definetely my favorite boss fight. Not because of the difficulty, although I must say, unlike the previous ones this was the one I found the most fun, but because of what it did with the narrative. Suddenly you realise things aren't as simple as "The jailor is the key. Kill him and you will be free." Furi is not only a mechanically great game, but also a narrative treat.
Even before buying the game, i kind of knew what was going on. We were inside of a *prison*, not a cage, not an slave cellar, we were not a good guy. But even when i knew the Stranger was not the hero, i kind of expected him to not be THAT bad. But, in the last guardian battle, when The Beat is practically crying and screaming for help, asking you to not scape, thats when i got the real perception of what kind of ~treat~ the Stranger was, and oh dear god, that Free World scene, with everything dying around our feet, was so fucking satisfying, and, at the same time, so terrifying, it felt horrible. I made my choice even before talking to The Star, i was going to get my redemption. But, this boss, The Hand, made me feel the same as when i watch any Undyne the undying boss battle: I wanted him to win, even when i gave my best, i wanted HIM to win, for he was the real hero.
God, the scene with The Beat like tore me up. It came out so suddenly, and I got fucking Sif flashbacks. Honestly, that was the moment that I was absolutely sold on this game's narrative. It was so fucking good, fuck.

0:00 - 1:35 Such peace. Such calm. I could get used to this... 1:35 - 2:55 I guess I can't. I can't just be, can I? No. No I guess not... 2:55 - 6:44 MURDER EVERYTHING
The Hand, The Burst, and The Edge are my three favorite bosses from this game, and The Song offers my favorite ending (so far). I still have yet to defeat The Star...
Being the first Guardian to actually feel like close quarters combat for the entirety of it, this fight was SO enjoyable. Even though I first tried him, his fight was the most intense, continually, and also most satisfying and enjoyable. What a great game.
after playing through this game on furier and modding my beatsaber I noticed a severe lack of furi songs in there despite them being absolute bangers I wish this one was in the custom song list.
Well, HE is the one that captured you, and put you in chains, so The Chain could shock you to death OVER and OVER again. If that isn't an arch-nemesis then idk what is lol, but it was still a very enjoyable fight, at least until The Hand went crazy at the end of the fight, then I just finished it cause it wasn't fun anymore.
The final rampage was my favorite part. He was desperate and fought for what he thought would give him strength. That was his final attempt to kill you, and he slows down in fatigue as you continually deflect or evade his attacks.
This boss was satisfying to fight. The rythm i got into was almost systematic. The way he rushed me with the music. I always intentionally hit him with his shield up so i can counter him and get in a takedown.
This is really when the game all fell into place for me. The Chain I was thinking he was so cruel, surely these must have been my former fellows and they have usurped me but need me alive for something. The Strap they told me showed up out of nowhere and was like me, so maybe I was an outsider they sought to exploit just like her? The Line believed I was resisting destiny, so they definitely did need me for something important? The Scale blamed me for what happened to him, so they were using him against me but had I caused some sort of accident? The Hand claimed to have originally subdued me, so they had spared me. And yet... they were disgusted by me. This noble, selfless, duty-bound man was willing to sacrifice so much just to send me back to prison. Saw me and saw only anathema, emptiness, evil. It made him sick, but he still refused to kill me. Now I really needed to know just what the hell was going on here.
the coolness level of this battle was not befitting of its lack of difficulty. I loved every part of it except the fact that it was so easy compared to that green fuck
Haha can totally imagine a video with just the Hand in his last phase and the two letters "R1,R1,R1,R1...No stamina...R1" keeps popping out with each attack
iirc 2:55 is played a lot during the fight (it reboots that part of the track) and thats what made the music memorable to me. i dont like this music to listen to but during the fight I believe it is sensitive to what is happening right? Then it is amazing
This guy for the time you arrive to him in the game its too easy. Its the only boss ive beaten first try on both my first run and furier. I really like the fight though. Especially the nice hints abouth him getting desperate (dropping the shield, his ultra combo)
Really? I found him to be the level where I had to force myself to learn dodging. Then I found out you could cancel his ranged attacks with a charged blast and he became a joke.
TheCompleteMental Little late but yeah these games are definitely comparable, I thought DS3 was not too bad at all especially since there are ways of cheesing most hard bosses. This game was way quicker though-you didn't have to waste time on loading screens and little enemies getting to the boss.
"I look at you stranger, AND I SEE NOTHING. DEATH. DESOLATION. YOU ARE ALONE . I AM FIGHTING FOR SOMETHING MUCH GREATER THAN THIS. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE STRENGTH THAT GIVES ME?"
this fight was the third of my wins in a row without losing all 3 lives. at the last phase, I had all 3 lives, and beat the regular segment decently easily. Then came close combat. My parrying game is on point, but the attacks progressively slowing threw me off rhythm twice, putting me at 1 life. Then I got put off rhythm again, but got sorta back on rhythm, and just barely survived the last attack with a close dodge. I would have died to any attack with my surviving HP. Peak stress levels I tell you.
I know other bosses were more difficult than The Hand, but just because of its buildup, the emotional impact of the character, the setting, his design, the way it kinda felt like a duel between equals (not the only boss that did that, but this one did it really well), the fact that this was the point in the game where you realize that YOU MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THE BAD GUY, as well as THIS FUCKING MUSIC, it's by far my favourite boss in the game.

I know other bosses were harder but can we at least agree this guy looked the coolest?
compared to the fish guy, the knight was cake. but I cinematics and clash were on point with this fight
+antoine olol can i just say that the edge was probably the second hardest boss other than the final mothership one. my god i lost so many times against The Edge
+MLP_Reaper Yeah, if your Blocking/Parry game wasn't on point, your ass was destroyed. Now if it was on point, he becomes one of the shortest boss bottles.
+David Borrell That's so true.
+Malcolm Fitzpatrick Yea!
I was all "this is a little slow for Brut". Then I was all "Hey this must be a buildup like Enraged". Then I got to 2:55
I read this comment right as it hit
@@DarylStreete Same here bro jajaj
Lol yeah 2:55 hits and he’s like “oh btw, it’s Carpenter Brut”
kind of a shame. seems he can only make one song no matter how hard he tries
@@dirtfriend Have you listened to Leather Teeth? Let alone Trilogy.
Damn bro do you write reviews?
@@Gispoe sometimes I guess
Go back.
Wrong boss?.. or does he say it too?
While you still can
You Don't Deserve A Computer she was a good girl. 😈
You cant win. You are alone
Artorias i can
You can't win stranger. You have nothing to protect.
Nothing to fight for.
I only intended to listen to a song, but I’ve been glued listening to this soundtrack.
Discover what you fight for, or you will never conquer your enemies...
What I fight for. Then only thing I know is the hand forcing me into chains electrocuting me to death repeatedly...Rage... revenge hurt...hurt..you.
did you intentionally reference the chain boss (1st boss) and scale (4th boss)
Yes he did.
Tyrant Deepinsierra All right Scale, calm down.
I'm sorry for pointing this out but forgetting the H in threat gives that sentence an entirely different meaning haha
@@quincycarra9107 Please..... Hold my hand....
Yeah that was cruel, but I had to do it, I had to finally leave.
And yet when fighting the hand, all I really wanted to do was slap that sanctimonious attitude out of him. Some self-aggrandising do-gooder pretending to understand me wasn't going to stop me.
Sounds about right.
Seriously man there was a update a while back and the moment i had to dial down the intense hope it of it making killing bosses optional.
There`s a lot of bosses that deserved better then they got, and killing the beat in particular still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
@@Catangerinehere I am responding one year late to a comment 2 years ago, but treat is used as a metaphor there. Unless your comment was a joke to that regard.

Deamons64 **in a scottish accent** IMMA FIGHTING FO FREEEDOOOOMM
Deamons64 I fight for my friends- oh wait you give me no way to make friends!
Fighting for bunny boi
The funny thing is in reality, the stakes for The Stranger are just as big as they are for The Hand.
"I brought you to your knee once already, and i will do so again!"
The Hand taught two people two lessons: To his son, what the consequence of not standing up to evil can be (The Hand's death). To the Rider, that good men should stand up against evil, like you can with the Star.
i loved his close combat final phase, the simplicity of just made it badass af
The build up this battle is so epic. Like actually got hype for this battle. Felt like I was about to fight an overlord.
Swaysome Bruh you feel me! xD
But in the end all you where fighting was a desperate father trying to save everything he loves…
This game makes me dream on how big the new sci-fi Souls could achieve to be.
xdan Sci-fi souls??
are you talking about the surge? because that's basically scifi souls
Dazh there were rumors a while ago that the next game hed be making would be a sci fi game with souls mechanics, but theres no supporting evidence
BUUUT....souls has upgrades and this doesnt. and thats why this is better. i hate rpg elements / upgrades lol
Well fuck rumors.
Sekiro looks amazing tho, I shouldn't complain.
Yung really likes Carpenter Brut.
Gotta agree with 'em.
Who doesn't?
0:00 - 1:35 Such peace. Such calm. I could get used to this...
1:35 - 2:55 I guess I can't. I can't just be, can I? No. No I guess not...
2:55 - 6:44 MURDER EVERYTHING
Is more of an scary feeling when you arrive there
1:35 that's when you start to learn he put you in your cage.
The Hand, The Burst, and The Edge are my three favorite bosses from this game, and The Song offers my favorite ending (so far). I still have yet to defeat The Star...
You can do it, my man! Once you beat her the first time, it will be a breeze
We built all of this, we prepared, invested so much!
Best boss battle so far, loving the soundtrack!
momo12364 Two words; The Burst
@@VanpyroGaming0Two words; You're mine
Being the first Guardian to actually feel like close quarters combat for the entirety of it, this fight was SO enjoyable. Even though I first tried him, his fight was the most intense, continually, and also most satisfying and enjoyable. What a great game.
"I will never give up, Stranger. The stakes are too high."
Go back, while you still can.
Because you wont stop listening to this.
Cuz too late
after playing through this game on furier and modding my beatsaber I noticed a severe lack of furi songs in there despite them being absolute bangers I wish this one was in the custom song list.
This song is definitely made for an "Arch-Nemesis" boss fight.
I don't even know what was happening back then but the fucking build up in the song as you slowly walk to the arena was making the hype.
I always get chills when he tosses away his shield as 5:23 starts playing. You can really sense his desperation to defeat you escalating.
We built all this. We've prepared, and invested soo much
This boss was satisfying to fight.
That part around 5:24 though
Very dramatic and epic.
My favourite part. It's the reasons i searched this song up on TH-cam
If they had told me this was the Final Boss theme...
I would had believed it.
2:55 boss fight music
Another epic movie soundtrack by the Lord.
This fight hurt me the most... I really didn't want to finish him.
Damn, Carpenter Brut sure knows how to make things look / sound dramatic and EPIC!
Man I wish the part from 4:10 to 4:40 was longer. Its way too good to be only 30 seconds long
Awesome game Even better soundtrack
no
+TSZARIFBUJ ye
the coolness level of this battle was not befitting of its lack of difficulty. I loved every part of it except the fact that it was so easy compared to that green fuck
josbird I thought The Scale was Easier than The Hand but that's just me.
and the old dude. fuck that guy
Fuck them all to be honest. If your parry game isn't on point on this one, you're fucked.
I don’t know about you but I SLAYED green guy and this guy really gave me a challenge so idk
I was stuck on the strap for like 2 hours
Just beat this guy. Just wanted to say this game is a masterpiece and the music here is god like. I'm so glad I decided to give this game a shot.
2:53 "Ha, you're like a filthy casual, WATCH THIS"

vide0gameCaster R1?
Ah, I knew I've heard this somewhere before, Scythe dude!
Haha can totally imagine a video with just the Hand in his last phase and the two letters "R1,R1,R1,R1...No stamina...R1" keeps popping out with each attack
*GETS PARRIED* (point down emote)
*dies* (Sends salty message)
vide0gameCaster HAHAHA Yeah dude!
the first OST in this game is a small part of this one, which is pretty cool
also 5:23 so gooooooooood
also carpenter brut
4:40 to 5:20
Good God
My favorite part too. However from 4:40 to 6:07. When he tries hard to kill you.
I'm a simple Frenchman : I see "Carpenter Brut", I instantly like.
iirc 2:55 is played a lot during the fight (it reboots that part of the track) and thats what made the music memorable to me. i dont like this music to listen to but during the fight I believe it is sensitive to what is happening right? Then it is amazing
It's cool that a musician for Hotline Miami had a HAND in making this game's soundtrack
This song is fantastic, the build up is fucking amazingly done.
“For my son....For all of us! I’ll bring you back!!”
Hey, you. You finally found the music Indiemaus used in the Laxasia boss fight.
This guy for the time you arrive to him in the game its too easy. Its the only boss ive beaten first try on both my first run and furier. I really like the fight though. Especially the nice hints abouth him getting desperate (dropping the shield, his ultra combo)
Probably its meant to be a little weak as the voice said he captured you with hundreds of men..
Basileus s i dont know why i found him the hardest
he's easy if you can parry but if you cant he's essentially a brick wall
Really? I found him to be the level where I had to force myself to learn dodging.
Then I found out you could cancel his ranged attacks with a charged blast and he became a joke.
Josh Burton he actually can but the qte becomes longer
5:23 is a banger
I don't know this game, but I love Carpenter Brut.
"Why 'Dark Souls 3' needs an easy mode."
_Welcome emote_
pfft no one gives a shhiiiiitttt, you can beat a game, congrats
TheCompleteMental really :V
TheCompleteMental
Little late but yeah these games are definitely comparable, I thought DS3 was not too bad at all especially since there are ways of cheesing most hard bosses. This game was way quicker though-you didn't have to waste time on loading screens and little enemies getting to the boss.
ds3 is harder than furi
but furier is harder than ds3
Imagine how much better Dark Souls game would be , if they only add a BOSS ONLY DLC ... game would be massively better.

Thanks. Assumption was based on the live show in Paris, hope he releases that as an album.
If your assumption is because he tours with a drummer and guitarist, well, i heard he did solo but got bored.
Never thought I'd live to see the day that medieval and synth get mixed together.

"For my son, for all of us, I'm bringing you back"
Tout simplement merveilleux, syntwawe intersidéral 😇😍🥰😳
He said we had nothing to fight for.
Perhaps he's right.
At first.
"I look at you stranger, AND I SEE NOTHING. DEATH. DESOLATION. YOU ARE ALONE . I AM FIGHTING FOR SOMETHING MUCH GREATER THAN THIS. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE STRENGTH THAT GIVES ME?"
If he really loved him then why did he move here? Why did he become a Guardian?
Maybe because when good men look away, evil prevails.
Of all of the bosses in Furi, The Hand was the fight that made me saddest.
this fight was the third of my wins in a row without losing all 3 lives. at the last phase, I had all 3 lives, and beat the regular segment decently easily.
This fucker wrote some dope music. Damn such awesome music.
"Wait, this isn't Carpenter Brut, right? It's too slow for Carpenter- HOLY FUCKING SHIT."
>dude named Omega death nacker
>You try to fight him
>This plays
>Get cucked a million times
>doesn't elaborate any further
This guys last health bar not gonna lie terrifying
This is so EPIC, the final... Destiny could have such a track!
”You’re denying your thirst! *NOW ITS TIME:* _to feast_ ”

Dude this song fucks. This song fucks hard
2:56 Omega Death Nacker Theme:
Strength and willpower is all that matters.
Do I look unconquerable to you?
This would sound good in a hardmode Craftwars bossfight.
Christ this song set at 1.5 freaking explodes with intimidation fast :0
"I've brought you to your knees once already, and I'll do so again".
You know you fucked up when the paladin drops his shield, so he can two hand his sword.
"Death is inevitable but with great strength we can even over come death itself"
Track starts at 2:56 for reference.
For my son... for all of us
