Really like how the bosses you fight become progressively more 'good guys' throughout the game, and you progressively realize that you were locked up for a really good reason.
Quilva In my point of view he is the most evil character. The story points towards the voice beeing the architect (the 7th boss that you cant fight). So he basically built a prison so complex for the Stranger/Rider that he managed to lock himself up. So the only way he could escape was to release the Stranger and hoping he would turn good during all the fights.
The Voice was definitely The Architect, the boss he "Took care of for you, as his end of the deal". He was probably meant to be a Guardian, but didn't want to be locked up his whole life guarding Rider, and so he broke Rider out and used him to free himself to see his daughter again.
I just reached her (after I fucked up on my first run and achieved peaceful ending lol), on my first try I got to last phase and thought meh not that hard. Then last phase came and it was like WHAT THE HELL I CAN'T PAY ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING
Her final attack is a walk in the park compared to The Burst's final attack. Bullshit orbs just flying at you from everywhere along with lines of "fuck you" and occasional instakill sniper attacks. The most bullshit boss in the game imo

Lorns tracks are a really cool departure from the rest of the tracks imo, that super dark muddy tone really sells the boss and his setting. Then again I'm hella into Lorns music as a whole lol
The cut vocals give me chills all over, especially when they come back on top of all the layered synths and beats. There's such sad determination in this track.
I was like so happy that I got the secret ending then I was hella pissed that I had to start everything. Honestly though it wasn't too bad, took me like 2 hours to get back to where I was, I whooped the ass of the first 5 on that rerun, now I'm stuck on this one

At 3:36 is when the song goes from good to godlike. The sound of what almost sounds like a record scratch could be horrible if handled by someone less talented than Toxic Avenger but he manages to make so many emotions spill out from that. It fits the game perfectly with its themes of destiny and prison.

This fight resonated with me the most because I had an abusive ex that said shit like The Song does. This track always fills me with a sense of needing to break free from her control and I can't help but get fucking pumped when the breakdown drops from 3:36 - 3:55 . I was cleaning and all of those feelings came rushing in, and I just stopped, pumped the volume, and head banged like a motherfucker to the drop.

The Song is an angel-like figure. She helped conceive the prison (but I don't think she conceived all the parts of the prison, just the nicer-looking parts). And she is relatively warm to you, even in the fight, right up until the last couple of phases. What gets me is that final five to seven seconds where she opens her arms, awaiting the real deathblow by The Rider. If she is really described as arrogant and self-righteous (and I can believe that is true part of the time for her), why open her arms? What's with that look in her eyes before she shuts them? Perhaps I'm reading too deeply into it or I'm missing a piece of lore; but even in her last moments... she did not seem arrogant, nor self-righteous. Not like The Voice was making her out to be.
she was slightly arrogant, at least in the secret ending with her viewing herself as her people's hero, and when you walk away from her and she says "how dare you walk away"
The Voice paints her as bad as he can because he wants The Stranger to kill her and then everyone else after, so they both can leave and The Voice can see his daughter once again

And thats what The Voice used, this was his plan all along, not to just "Free" The Raider, but to show him the "good" parts of humanity (The Hand, The Edge, The Song, The Beat, Arguably The Burst) so that he might change and in turn defend their world against the invaders they have no chance of winning against. I think The Song had to know shes a neccessary sacrifice in order to change him

I'll never forget when I first heard this in Furi fighting her. The arena, the back drop, the colors, the speed everything with this was one of those moments I will always remember. Phenomenal game only rivaled by it's even better OST. This song still gives me chills.
Played on loop to help hype me to beat radiant Markoth, eventually gave up that night, but this song prolonged my attempts an hour or two, really encouraging
Radiant Markoth might be the single hardest boss I have ever fought in gaming, including all the souls titles except Sekiro. It was not designed to actually be beatable since they just made radiant a gamemode and not a remake of the actuall boss. There was no thought given to how Markoth could go from an intermediate to an almost impossible boss if given the right conditions.

The entry of this song always reminds me Funeral march. First 9 seconds are chill yet sad, you have already know what will happen with "Song". You are feel it, this character is truly want to save you, to choose another fate. But Rider is on his way to leave jail.
I'm amazed by this song, at first it made me feel disgust, not from song or game, but from feeling that world WILL go to shit and there's nothing you can do about it. But then, it felt like: "f*ck it, if we're gonna die, we'll die how i will be pleased", and it made a final masterpiece. After that, world still was dying, but it wasn't giving up, saving last notes for its final and tearful Requiem, and it was... That's because a couple of the artists who worked on the Hotline Miami soundtrack had their hand in it; namely Scattle and Carpenter Brut. Though I doubt I'm alone in saying those names, or at least Carpenter Brut's, drew a lot of interest in the game.

If she is really described as arrogant and self-righteous (and I can believe that is true part of the time for her), why open her arms? What's with that look in her eyes before she shuts them? Perhaps I'm reading too deeply into it or I'm missing a piece of lore; but even in her last moments... she did not seem arrogant, nor self-righteous. Not like The Voice was making her out to be.
she was slightly arrogant, at least in the secret ending with her viewing herself as her people's hero, and when you walk away from her and she says "how dare you walk away"
The Voice paints her as bad as he can because he wants The Stranger to kill her and then everyone else after, so they both can leave and The Voice can see his daughter once again

And thats what The Voice used, this was his plan all along, not to just "Free" The Raider, but to show him the "good" parts of humanity (The Hand, The Edge, The Song, The Beat, Arguably The Burst) so that he might change and in turn defend their world against the invaders they have no chance of winning against. I think The Song had to know shes a neccessary sacrifice in order to change him

+Daniel Biancalana yeh i knew that it was on spotify. But i dont know though, the stars final phase isnt that difficult. The only part of it that i get some damage on is that split moment were the orbs go rapid fire while theres still 2 AOE's left. After that its no problem

+Daniel Biancalana cool. In the third stage how i take out her hands is i try to take them out at the same time so that the pattern of the orbs doesnt mess me up. On the 4th stage to take out her hands you have to use your charged shot which is a laser. If this at all helped im happy

I'll never forget when I first heard this in Furi fighting her. The arena, the back drop, the colors, the speed everything with this was one of those moments I will always remember. Phenomenal game only rivaled by it's even better OST. This song still gives me chills.

Radiant Markoth might be the single hardest boss I have ever fought in gaming, including all the souls titles except Sekiro. It was not designed to actually be beatable since they just made radiant a gamemode and not a remake of the actuall boss. There was no thought given to how Markoth could go from an intermediate to an almost impossible boss if given the right conditions.

That's because a couple of the artists who worked on the Hotline Miami soundtrack had their hand in it; namely Scattle and Carpenter Brut.
