  • Title says it all, more fuel equals more power! My first time installing a fuel pump, wasn't too bad. I'm sure this mod will pay off soon!
    **I made a mistake installing the fuel pump, there should be 2 o rings being used, I only put 1. This is something I've already fixed but keep this in mind if you do the install yourself!**

    never do this on a full tank of gas, best to run till the fuel light come on. And, always, always keep a fire extinguisher ready, I knew people burn their car up while messing with fuel, it's not a joke and it happens faster than you could think. Great video showing the back seat pull tab.

      Well when I parked the car I had no idea what was going on with it. The engine had ringland failure and I didn't know if I was building it or throwing another stock engine back in. The tank was also about 1/4 to 1/2 full. Also the car was probably sitting for another month before I started it. So any fuel that made its way out of the tank had plenty of time to evaporate.

    Brother replaced his fuel pump with a full to the brim gas tank. I can’t believe it hahaha

      I wasn't planning on swapping out the fuel pump when I stored it for winter!

    Can you connect it with factory connection or do you have to hardwire the pump . Good video make sure you are careful not creat a spark .

    Question: my car's stock, if I put this fuel pump in does that warrant a tune? I might want to increase the power later but want to run it stock until I can afford other mods

      If you upgrade your fuel pump and have the stock fuel pressure regulator you will not need a tune. If your looking for good bang for buck I'd recommend saving your money for a downpipe and getting a tune. If you have a 15+ STi and you get an air intake aswell as a downpipe then you'll have to look into fueling mods. But just upgrading your fuel pump you won't see any benefits.

    My question is after replacing the OEM fuel pump with AEM one, is the acceleration improved ? and what about the MPG ?

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the only thing being changed is the fuel pump there is no benefit really. I did a bunch of different mods aswell as a tune so I needed the fuel pump to help support everything I've added.

      It comes with filter for the bottom of the pump.

    Is a tune needed if fuel pump is just replacing oem with no other mods?

    • @zach_lush
      @zach_lush  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you are upgradiing just the fuel pump then no, a tune is not required. But theres not really a point in upgrading it then.

      @zach_lush was gonna just get oem but this is same cost lol. My fuel pump is out. Only reason for replacing.

      @@zach_lush no I meant causing a potential spark with power tools above your fuel tank in the backseat of your car with vapors in the air
