Just found you and I originally throught you were a huge TH-camr so I was pretty surprised cause you got the production quality and confidence like you’ve been making content for a decade keep it up lad
Such high quality content, this channel better get BIG! Keep it up, had lots of fun watching this vid. On same journey myself right now so good to see others doing it. Sadly dirt road is slowly withering on iRacing despite how fun it is when you learn the basics. Cant wait to see the rest of the journey.
Thanks so much! Yeah honestly dirt road has been some of my favorite racing so far, but outside of rookies, it looks like it's hard to even find full lobbies which is a bummer. I'm really surprised it's not a lot more popular
@ I think due to its nature people don’t find enjoyment out of it. Did my first Pro Lite race today and was side by side the whole time. Haven’t had that much fun in a long time. A lot of people just aren’t good at it so they don’t even give it a go. Unfortunate 😔
You really can't beat the fun factor of those trucks! I know very little about them IRL but my interest is certainly piqued. I can totally see how it would set off a whole chain of interests!
I may not be on iRacing but I've seen enough of ARCA Brake Weekly to know there are some phrases you never say before a race. "I'm only here for safety rating." "Lets have a clean race." "Everyone stay calm." Same level as saying quiet in the retail or medical fields.
Dang I also just watched an episode of ARCA Brake Weekly, as I hadn't seen it before, and it has me dying of laughter lol I'm gonna have to watch more of that
Insane quality! I love the commentary and editing-you’re going to go far, I can tell. Keep up the great work! One thing I’d suggest is recording your PC screen when showing the iracing for better clarity. Also, consider moving the timestamp away from the start to help with retention. Great job!
Stuff like this is awesome to see, i am getting back into i racing and i have class c in all except the dirt stuff. But man i need to give them trucks a spin!
Subbed. Enjoyed watching your races. You’re fun to watch .. keep it up man.. good energy in your commentary.. I am thinking of getting a vr headset so good to watch some vr iRacing I can enjoy…
I'm glad you enjoy it and appreciate you watching! If you're on the fence about VR, I highly recommend you give it a try if you get the chance. It certainly has some downsides, but I absolutely love it!
8:30 Perfectly legal by you as you are not required to leave space for any possible dive. As far as you are ahead its up to car behind to hold the distance.
Love the Quest 3. If it don't support VR I don't race it. I dont practice either. I just do online races. I know it is probably the long route. But my ADD cant stand turning laps on an empty track. I aslo dont care whether I come last or not. As long as I have a battle with the car in front or behind me Im happy
Yeah I'm with you. The first time I tried VR for sim racing was the last time I could run flat screen lol I've never tried triples, but I imagine it'd be hard to beat out VR lol I also totally get the joys of just hopping on to run races without much practice. I used to practice a ton every week for the GT3 races, but after I started this channel, I kinda just started hopping on and winging it. I really enjoyed doing that for a while, though I'm getting that itch back to start attacking the iRating again, so practice here I come!
I have a question about the VR. I have a quest 2. 1: do you think it would work for most racing games? 2: is it kinda blurry when you use it? Bc no matter how I adjust it for my eyes it seems as though it’s not able to be set up where the edges or the lenses are blurry. I have 20-20 vision and even still
So I'm actually currently using a Quest 3, but I used to use the 2. The problem with the 2 is exactly what you mention, it's very blurry, especially around the edges. I'm not sure if you've tried it on PC, but it is much better than standalone because you can crank the resolution up, but it requires a good PC and it will still won't be perfect That being said, it does still work really well for sim racing in basically all titles except for ACC (which just sucks in VR not matter what headset you have lol). If you already have it, and a decent PC, it's 100% worth jumping into and will be a great experience. Also, if you haven't already, make sure you play around with the IPD slider to see if you can get a clearer image. If you're ever interested and have the means to do so, the Quest 3 (not the 3s) is a MASSIVE upgrade over the 2. It uses different lenses which give you edge to edge clarity making the entire image crystal clear. So if you enjoy racing in VR, and the blurriness is too much, the 3 is a fantastic option
From creator to creator can u tell me how u record on your quest 3 without the border showing st the top of the screen. I have a channel with a few videos of me racing in vr and i wanna get my videos recorded without the border showing and choosing full-screen doesn't fix it it's weird
Yeah no problem! So I actually use something called Oculus Mirror which displays exactly what your headset sees with custom settings (including stabilization) in a separate window. I then use OBS to record just the Mirror window. The Mirror application should already be on your computer if you're using quest. It'll be in your Oculus folder under - Program files>Oculus>Support>Oculus Diagnostics - It's a bit confusing to set up and it starts at 720p, though you can change it to 1080 which is what I have it at. I'd recommend looking up a setup video as it's kind of a pain lol if you have any questions or problems with it feel free to reach out and hopefully I can help
@costangracing Dude you're the best. I made that comment not expecting a reply but something told me to type it anyway by u never know. You're a legend 💯
@costangracing yes it's the worst I get so mad at the quest 3. Well I hope to see a video from you soon. I found your videos on my lunch break at work and was intrigued by the multiple racing discipline goal. I'm curious to see how far it goes
Hey man, I stream my races in VR using the quest 3 as well and I was wondering how do you center your perspective in recording? It looks correct from my perspective but the stream seems to be only from the left eye perspective.
I use Oculus Mirror to record gameplay and it also allows you to use your right eye instead of the left. Right eye makes everything look centered in sim racing for whatever reason lol Just a heads up though, I've thought about streaming in the past, but I've never found anyway to incorporate chat while also using the mirror tool, so that could be an issue
@ I’ve been searching for that fix for months lol. I’ve considered trying to figure out a program I can run that will read out the comments to me straight to my headphones considering I don’t have many people that comment. That way I can just race.
Yeah I use OBS to record, and Oculus Mirror to display. In both OBS and Mirror I run 1920x1080 at 60 FPS. I've screwed around with higher resolutions in the past, but I never found they look all that different honestly. The OBS settings are pretty basic, though I've been using a pretty beefy PC. I run 25000 kbps bit rate, P5: slow (Good Quality) preset, High quality tuning, Single pass, and have Psycho Visual Tuning Enabled. I have a Nvidia card so I use the NVIDIA NVENC HEVC encoder which makes it 100 times better when it comes to performance. If I couldn't use the built in NVIDIA encoder, I think I would really struggle at this quality, especially in iRacing, since I'd probably have to use the CPU to record in an already CPU heavy game If you have a Quest headset, the Mirror tool is probably most important as you can enable stabilization which makes everything look so much better. I also run my headset at 72hz - max resolution and have sharpening enabled inside iRacing which I think makes a big difference, though I'm not 100% sure on that specifically
Yeah I've also noticed after D class it's quite a bit trickier to gain safety rating especially compared to road cars. It might just be that I'm not good at oval though lol
A little recommendation don’t play music the whole video a little dramatic music here and there is cool but the whole time..not so good but I appreciated the content very nice work I subscribed:)
This was sad to watch as a off-road player in iracing I could not watch it without cringing at the lap times ,sorry I just didn’t know it’s possible to do that slow of a lap sorry again keep up the grind
A little recommendation don’t play music the whole video a little dramatic music here and there is cool but the whole time..I almost clicked away but I appreciated the content and driving very nice work I subscribed:) ps. If you do decide to play music the whole time please turn it down like 50% also personal opinion as my viewer take of watching TH-camrs I think it’s funny and possibly drives more contact if you cuss and bleep it out with a funny sound instead of saying like “ahh noodles” but to each there own still regardless love the content I understand everyone is unique just trying to help give my opinion as a viewer I know newer TH-camrs knowing what the viewers like and don’t is important to growth but hey at the same time can’t please everyone cheers mate good video🤙🏽🤟🏽

I'm trying to up the quality whenever I get the chance so I'm grateful to know some of that is showing through! Thank you!
Straight up you’ve got the production quality down the point in the first 10 seconds I genuinely thought you had over a million subscribers
good video just a suggestion maybe download trading paints for paint schemes so u can see your own and others pain
Oh yeah I've heard about that but haven't ever gotten around to installing it. I'll definitely do that in the near future! Thanks!
Agreed. Adds to the immersion..
The fact that channel only has 290 subscribers actually amazes me
Definetly got number 291 there :D
It will be fun to always remember you as the 291st subscriber! Thanks!
Woah! 100% need to do more night racing cause oh my!!! That first map was a beauty.
Yeah the atmospheres of the night maps are awesome! I especially love some of the races that go from sunset into night in the middle of the race
wait holy hidden gem?????
Im not even much a fan of rallycross but absolutely kept me watching
Thanks, glad to hear it! I've never been much into rallycross either, but it's becoming one of my favorite things to race!
Yooo 20k views is a lot for someone with around 600 subscribers. Congrats!

Awesome vid! I also discovered that I love off road truck races on accident. Sparked a whole interest in rally for me.
You really can't beat the fun factor of those trucks! I know very little about them IRL but my interest is certainly piqued. I can totally see how it would set off a whole chain of interests!
This thumbnail is EXCELLENT
Thanks! It's definitely one one my favorites so I'm glad to hear it looks good!
We are witnessing the next Jimmy Broadbent
I wouldn't say that about myself, but I take that as a huge compliment so thank you!
i will only race in VR now that i have a quest 3. seriously the best experience i have ever had in iracing.
Yeah same with me as well. Even with all the downsides of VR, it's impossible for me to go back to a flat screen lol
Here before the blow up! Love this man.
Awesome video again! Keep it up!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching!
I watched the first 5 minutes and noticed you only have 230+ subs?! You are underated as hell man! Well you just gained anew subscriber keep it up !
I appreciate you watching! Thanks!
the truck races are quite fun to say the least.
Congrats dude! 🥳
Thanks! Now on to actually learning to drive these cars the way they were meant to be driven lol it should be an interesting experience!
You’re definitely the most underrated iracing player, vr doesn’t get enough love, keep up the good work ❤❤
Thanks so much! I was actually a bit worried in the beginning that VR wouldn't go over so well for videos, so I'm glad to know people are enjoying it!
bro it wasnt until i was almost finished with the video that I realised you didnt have atleast 100k subs. crazy under rated keep it up man
That's great to hear! I appreciate it!
True but why did you stop uploading modem?
I may not be on iRacing but I've seen enough of ARCA Brake Weekly to know there are some phrases you never say before a race.
"I'm only here for safety rating."
"Lets have a clean race."
"Everyone stay calm."

I should know better but I absolutely can't help myself lol every single time
Dang I also just watched an episode of ARCA Brake Weekly, as I hadn't seen it before, and it has me dying of laughter lol I'm gonna have to watch more of that

Thanks for the tips! Definitely going to incorporate them in future videos!
TH-cam algorithm actually recommending me a banger for once 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Glad to hear I got to be part of a good recommendation!
Stuff like this is awesome to see, i am getting back into i racing and i have class c in all except the dirt stuff. But man i need to give them trucks a spin!
I highly recommend it! It can be a bit tricky to get full lobbies with comparable skill levels, but man it's a crazy fun time lol
Thanks. Will keep looking into it, 👍🏼
Can’t believe this guy only has 345 subs
6:33 was the nerves or excitement cause your hand was shaking bad😂
Dang that's a good eye! I was 100% nervous for that last corner lol
8:30

Ok that's good to know. I'm always a bit unsure when switching series lol

17:00 this track is in wreckfest
Oh I could see that being an absolute blast in that game! I used to play it a TON but that was back before I knew much about racing at all lol

Hey no worries! I get carried away WAY too easily when I start looking into stuff lol
Took me maybe 3 weeks to get to oval c class then like 2 months later I’m still not out of c class getting closer tho
Yeah I've also noticed after D class it's quite a bit trickier to gain safety rating especially compared to road cars. It might just be that I'm not good at oval though lol
@ finally got b today gonna push for a by the end of the season
Ay nice job! Best of luck to you!
A little recommendation don’t play music the whole video a little dramatic music here and there is cool but the whole time..not so good but I appreciated the content very nice work I subscribed:)

O and also I am twenty in off-road points for the series
This was sad to watch as a off-road player in iracing I could not watch it without cringing at the lap times ,sorry I just didn’t know it’s possible to do that slow of a lap sorry again keep up the grind
Hey I guess that means I have nowhere to go but up lol
Holy thought it was 525k subs not 525

Definitely appreciate the feedback! Still trying to figure out what everyone’s preferences are so this stuff is good to hear!
Do the trucks again please
I will definitely be back to do truck again! They were ridiculously fun!
I hope you can get out of Rookies in every discipline... cause it's not actually that hard...
bro turn background music down its way to loud , or turn it off completely its annoying anyways
