Completely agree about Christmas with the Kranks. You're the only person I've 'known' who's heard of it. When you mentioned it in another one of your videos I was so happy! It's my favourite Christmas film. It's on netflix at the moment for anyone that wants to watch it 😊

So yeah, I'm going to be one of *those people* and explain to you why your channel is so wonderful to me.
SO (grab a mug of hot water because this is gonna be semi-long), in October-ish I was diagnosed with a weirdo spinal condition plus stenosis that has caused me excruciating pain since Sept 2. I can't drive, can't sit/stand/walk/lie down for any length of time without lotsnlots of pain, I've been working from home and been mostly isolated (aside from doc appts) since then. Needless to say, I won't be able to see my family for Christmas or do most of the usual Christmassy things I love so much because of this. My surgery is Dec 27 (which is actually an awesome present because it means, hopefully, that I won't have any more of this nonsense pain).
Watching your lead-up to Christmas (from this year and years past) and your Thanksgiving vids has really given me joy and comfort, and allows me to enjoy the season vicariously! Also you and your family just warm my heart. You guys put some pep in my...step? hobble? and make me forget all this nonsense for a little while.
