Tbh. The keyless entry issue, is just you nit picking. I have an SRT8, never have I ever felt that being an annoyance. As to rear doors, change the settings from uconnect to unlock all doors. And the lag on the uconnect, just updated the software!! Smh

agree about the shifter, that's why i passed on a 14 and bought a 16, shifter is so much better to use. the other thing I hate is the Pirelli's, they are the loudest tires I ever owned, the first test drive I thought there was something wrong with the truck!! Replacing those soon. I also love this truck, very cool exhaust note and 470hp to boot!

No disrespect, but I don't think you fully understand the features of your vehicle. BSM and collision-alert can be switched off and/or adjusted. There is a UConnect 3C software update that is available to speed up the SRT Pages(my Hellcat UC is far faster) The clearcoat coming off indicates someone used a harsh cleaner on the wheels, judging by where the peeling pattern on the wheels. Seen it a million times. Your deflector needs to be adjusted on your sunroof. Wouldn't you have notice your dislike for the shifter prior to purchase?🤔 The 2016-current has a traditional shifter. And your door locking scenario was hilarious. You penalize the vehicle for having the best unlocking sequence? Wow.

I have a 15 limited. All your complaints are annoying. The side vents still blow air no matter what setting it’s in (majority of vehicles do this!) Why are you trying to open your doors when you are locking it? Why are you trying to push the button when getting in (unlocking to open?) i never hit the button while grabbing the handle! Whistle noise? Well, your side vent there doesn’t seem to be open, maybe that’s your issue! If not, then your actuator door could be stuck. My sunroof doesn’t have a whistle sound when open...maybe you’ve screwed something up! At first, i hated the gear shifter, many times I’d think i was in drive, but was in neutral... or thought i hit park, but went to reverse... after a few weeks, i got used to it! Is your Uconnect supposed to be lightning speed? The unit has to register the information before throwing it on the screen....gosh, have some patience! Don’t tailgate people and you won’t have to worry about autonomous breaking!!! For goodness sakes, turn the features off through your Uconnect if they annoy you!

LOL! I got all the same issues except the A/C noise. Paint/clear coat I believe FCA will fix that for free not sure (Don’t quote me) and the wind diffuser in the sunroof is pretty loud but what do you expect when your driving up ward 60+ MPH 😂 all in all I love my Jeep SRT.... I'm glad I watched this. My much simpler 2015 Grand Cherokee Laredo, aside from the keyless entry, doesn't have ANY of these things. I'm happy I spent half as much the SRT costs. Also, you must use up all your profits on gas. This would be a terrible Uber vehicle.

Door locks: You probably learned how to use them correctly by now.. 1 finger touch to lock, and grab to open and works pretty great once your use to it..
I agree with most things except I dont have the same clear coat peeling issue. Keyless thing... you'll get used it. I have found if I have the keyfob in my pocket with my mobile/cell phone it can get a bit touchy. I also liked the shifter when I test drove a few, but its not easy to live with. Glad they went back to a traditional gate style even though its still electronic. U connect speed dosn't bother me, I found it annoying when I first got the car but I dont use the performance pages when daily driving very much. The aggressive anti-collision is annoying. Like you say it can scare people. I dont get the same wind noise issues as you, but I do get whistle from the left side roof rail. Lucky I'm in Australia and have the steering wheel on the right side. My other gripe is the carbon fibre trim. It seems a bit of a thing with them. It lifts in places. The steering wheel looks sweet, but I have a bit of peeling plastic chrome right on the join of the plastic trim. makes it feel pretty cheap. Placement of the cruise control buttons isn't intuitive. But I can't suggest to Chrysler how to do it better, lol. I love the heated/vented seats. They are almost as nice as the older 300C seats comfort wise, but beat them with the venting. I love the keyless system. Never have to take them out of your pocket. I have left them in the cupholder overnight, but thats not the cars fault.Anyone could have driven away in it. I'm not yet brave enough to see if I can lock the keys in the car yet I love the u connect. It can take a bit to warm up, but everything works. My kids love the rear heated, reclining seats and the usb ports. Electric tailgate is handy. Bag holders in the rear are a bit lame. They might be ok for the 3 litre jeep, but its hard to keep anything still in the back with a 6.4 hemi. On that, the rails on the back floor really dont help. Towing is fantastic. Tow mode seems a bit of a joke unless your pulling 3.5T. With a 18' caravan/RV on tow I leave it in "auto". What I really love is it takes a very fast car to beat you off the lights. That gas pedal is something special.
Haven't scrolled through all of the comments so, sorry if this has been discussed. But the whistle noise coming through your airvent could be from the cabin filter being installed upside down. It has happened to me - I flipped it over and no more whistle.

That safety group auto braking thing is the reason I ended up lemoning my 2019 Trailhawk. In CA, people fill in every inch in front of when they can, which triggers that sensor. Not a comforting thought, when you also have an 18-wheeler behind you. My electric system was acting up and going haywire, so I didn’t want or need that Safety Group sensor slamming on the brakes. My biggest pet peeve with the GC/Uconnect system, is lack of real Voice Control usage. In my Audi’s and Porsche’s, I could hit the voice control and ask “Drive me to Cosmopolitan Las Vegas” or “Find directions to Chili’s in Highlands Ranch” and it would find the directions. With the GC, you have to know the full number address to tell the car where to go when you’re already moving. Pulling over on the side of the highway, to change your directions, is super annoying and dangerous. That all said, I’m starting to think more and more about how much I want the SRT. You’re videos are great for showing real world usage of it, especially in the uncertainty that is CO weather and conditions.

In sport mode that passing traffic sensor goes inactive... but so does ur abs... and ur annoying lane management sensor has a seperate fuse... unplug fuse...
My 2012 Overland does the howling when the sunroof is open also 🤦🏽♂️ With that being said I’m going to try and get an SRT in a couple years. I wanted the TrackHawk but I’m not sure l am ready for a $100,000 truck yet.

I actually agree with this one. Cherokees are not what they used to be, all they are now are mid-high end SUVS with 4WD for that occasional dirt dirt road that makes you feel like a badass because you would never in your right mind bring it to some real off-roading.

They are just cheaper to fix and if it was still 2001 and you just bought a new limited XJ you probably wouldn't want to beat it like the nearly 20 year old shit box it is today where you fish parts out of the picknpull for $20 to fix it after it breaks vs a newer car that costs more than a suitcase of beer to repair because it's not outdated with tons of parts in the JY .
I have the same issues with the wind noise etc. on the 2016 SRT... The loud noise start from 180 Km/h and go louder and become scarry at 220 Km/h and more... It comes from and arround my left vents !!! :( any ideas to fix it ?!
if i figure it out ill let you know! when I'm cruising at those speeds I'm not too concerned about wind noise. the noise I'm talking about happens between 105 and 120kph
If you set it to unlock all doors on unlock it will do the same with keyless entry. Also if you enter from the front passenger, it will unlock all doors.
Hazard a guess someone has been using mag wheel cleaner to have damages clear coat on Brembo calipers, wheels, and centre caps. Not normal. Also, emergency brake sensitivity can be adjusted via uconnect. Near or far. For door unlock/ lock, retrain yourself to use both functions as intended. Normaly none issue by anyone else. As for vent, you can close it manualy.

As someone that owns a lower model, i appreciate your dislikes. The clearcoat pealing is just no good. The keyless problem is pretty much all vehicles w/the "smart" key functions. Shifter is ehhh. My 2018 seems ok, so maybe they fixed that flaw. Uconnect is better now too. The forward collision is as annoying as me having to disable the auto start/stop function on mine EVERYTIME i start up the Jeep. Wish it could be permanently disabled. Not sure there's much that can be done about the blindspot gripe. Wind noise is ehhh too. I love my GC too, even though i only have 295 hp to roll with lol 👍
SRT is too expensive for me, I can only afford a Laredo, the keyless entry thing can be set in the system. you can decide when you pull the handle only to open the front doors or all the doors.
Haha i paint cars and have worked on many. I swear it takes me a few tries to the vehicle to reverse.So annoying. They stopped making that feature though and went back to a more traditional non electronic shifter. Still love me a SRT Jeep tho.
I’ve owned multiple chrysler/jeep models. All of them had the same paint issue on the wheels. The dealer told me it was from salty roads, even when they didn’t put salt on the road. My advise to chrysler/jeep: give buyers a (flat) black wheel option. Problem solved.

I have a 2011 Limited, 5.7L. The AC control doors are a BIG problem. They break and are hard to get to. The shifter is the gated one and works ok. The rear wiper ( made in Japan ) will lock up and will rust solid. The bearing should have been ceramic. The clear coat failed and salt is slowly damaging the wheels. Would I trade my WK2 for a Honda Highlander or others from that island. Not on your life.

Jeep is one of the best vehicles out there...im in a 2019 GC...had a 15 Cherokee & a 91 cherokee...It's not a truck.. it's a JEEP. These complaints are truly yours and yours alone. I have an Acadia that’s not very fun to drive and thinking about trading it in and making payments on an SRT. But it’s expensive to put up with some of this shit. for keyless entry, grab handle and it unlocks. to lock just press the black button without gripping the handle. not that much of a pain

That safety group auto braking thing is the reason I ended up lemoning my 2019 Trailhawk. In CA, people fill in every inch in front of when they can, which triggers that sensor. Not a comforting thought, when you also have an 18-wheeler behind you. My electric system was acting up and going haywire, so I didn’t want or need that Safety Group sensor slamming on the brakes. My biggest pet peeve with the GC/Uconnect system, is lack of real Voice Control usage. In my Audi’s and Porsche’s, I could hit the voice control and ask “Drive me to Cosmopolitan Las Vegas” or “Find directions to Chili’s in Highlands Ranch” and it would find the directions. With the GC, you have to know the full number address to tell the car where to go when you’re already moving. Pulling over on the side of the highway, to change your directions, is super annoying and dangerous.
That all said, I’m starting to think more and more about how much I want the SRT. You’re videos are great for showing real world usage of it, especially in the uncertainty that is CO weather and conditions.
So I have a 2013 overland and on your second thing you didn’t like about keyless entry and unlocking the doors you can change the settings to unlock all doors when putting your hand behind the handle it’s in the system settings on the dash

In sport mode that passing traffic sensor goes inactive... but so does ur abs... and ur annoying lane management sensor has a seperate fuse... unplug fuse...

This is why you need to use an iron removing wheel cleaner frequently especially on wheels and brakes that are high performance like brembos.
I recently found this to be true as well... my chrome on my Silverado started peeling off... looks like hell and if only I would have known this earlier... sucks... especially ially for such an easy preventative measure...
Sunroofs in general are my #1 dislike...I didn't custom order and the SRT is not an easy find, so I just pull the trigger and simply NEVER open the damn thing! lol

I actually agree with this one. Cherokees are not what they used to be, all they are now are mid-high end SUVS with 4WD for that occasional dirt dirt road that makes you feel like a badass because you would never in your right mind bring it to some real off-roading.
Even with a bed and frame if it burns gas it's not a real truck either .

They are just cheaper to fix and if it was still 2001 and you just bought a new limited XJ you probably wouldn't want to beat it like the nearly 20 year old shit box it is today where you fish parts out of the picknpull for $20 to fix it after it breaks vs a newer car that costs more than a suitcase of beer to repair because it's not outdated with tons of parts in the JY .
I have the same issues with the wind noise etc. on the 2016 SRT... The loud noise start from 180 Km/h and go louder and become scarry at 220 Km/h and more... It comes from and arround my left vents !!! :( any ideas to fix it ?!
if i figure it out ill let you know! when I'm cruising at those speeds I'm not too concerned about wind noise. the noise I'm talking about happens between 105 and 120kph
You can turn the blind spot sound off
If you set it to unlock all doors on unlock it will do the same with keyless entry. Also if you enter from the front passenger, it will unlock all doors.

Hazard a guess someone has been using mag wheel cleaner to have damages clear coat on Brembo calipers, wheels, and centre caps. Not normal. Also, emergency brake sensitivity can be adjusted via uconnect. Near or far. For door unlock/ lock, retrain yourself to use both functions as intended. Normaly none issue by anyone else. As for vent, you can close it manualy.

As someone that owns a lower model, i appreciate your dislikes. The clearcoat pealing is just no good. The keyless problem is pretty much all vehicles w/the "smart" key functions. Shifter is ehhh. My 2018 seems ok, so maybe they fixed that flaw. Uconnect is better now too. The forward collision is as annoying as me having to disable the auto start/stop function on mine EVERYTIME i start up the Jeep. Wish it could be permanently disabled. Not sure there's much that can be done about the blindspot gripe. Wind noise is ehhh too. I love my GC too, even though i only have 295 hp to roll with lol 👍

the keyless entry thing can be set in the system. you can decide when you pull the handle only to open the front doors or all the doors.

The 8 speed has no issues. And you can only get a 5 speed transmission on the WK1 06 - WK2 13

I’ve owned multiple chrysler/jeep models. All of them had the same paint issue on the wheels. The dealer told me it was from salty roads, even when they didn’t put salt on the road. My advise to chrysler/jeep: give buyers a (flat) black wheel option. Problem solved.

I have a 2011 Limited, 5.7L. The AC control doors are a BIG problem. They break and are hard to get to. The shifter is the gated one and works ok. The rear wiper ( made in Japan ) will lock up and will rust solid. The bearing should have been ceramic. The clear coat failed and salt is slowly damaging the wheels. Would I trade my WK2 for a Honda Highlander or others from that island. Not on your life.

I have an Acadia that’s not very fun to drive and thinking about trading it in and making payments on an SRT. But it’s expensive to put up with some of this shit. Still seems fun as hell to drive 475 horses
Omg, the blind spot thing...that's what it's for. The brake feature...it's not able to compensate for aggressive driving, what system can?...the uconnect thing...try a Honda Nav system if you really want to hate on a system. The clearcoat is about your only legitimate gripe.

Who needs a/c? Forward collision is about following a car doing the same speed and they suddenly brake. It'll save your life one day, love it.
