@@noahshields507You don't get it. It isn't about speed, it's about the experience. So if you really think about it, if electric cars are the future, the fun of driving is dead.

Couldn’t have said it any better about the windgers who who destroyed the mighty Aussie v8 , dosent matter wether your a ford or a Holden fan , they both made some pretty special cars that Australia can be proud of , love your content mate.
"windgers who who destroyed the mighty Aussie v8" C'mon now, it's the same place that invented the V8 in the first place which killed the Aussie V8: Detroit, Michigan IMO. They could never or would never allow import of a significant number of Australian-made V8 Commodores/Caprices or V8 (or turbo Barra) Falcons/Territories into the US because of the need to protect their own US factories. Chevrolet never put much effort into marketing the Chevrolet SS for example, as I believe they only ever intended to sell the minimum number of Commodores in the United States they were contractually obliged to. Both the Ford Australia and GM Holden plants simply needed more export markets allocated to them by Detroit (which didn't happen) in order to have a profitable level of production volume, whereas Toyota in Japan made sure to allocate lots of export markets to the Australian factory so Toyota Australia was still profitable to the end unlike the others. United States CAFE fuel economy targets do make it more difficult to sell V8 vehicles, but it's still designed in such a way that fuel economy targets are much more lenient for pickup trucks & large SUVs than for cars and they could (and still do) fit V8 engines to pickup trucks and SUVs AFAIK. There are definitely no such United States CAFE fuel economy limits (or European Union "WLTP" CO2 limits) in the Australian market, so to blame the rules for a lack of large engines in the Australia market would be wrong. Heck, we are still on Euro 5 emissions rules in Australia, you can still sell pretty much any engine in any car you want in Australia. 🙂
The irony is that those blue haired muppets replacing their leased Tesla every two years like it’s an iPhone they need to upgrade to stay current is far worse for the environment than Bruce down the street who keeps his beloved V8 for ten years before upgrading.
Also funny as most cars Ross review's are ones for sale, so the first owners of most cars sell them after 3-5 years no matter what car. The VF group has lots of people now selling Thier vf they bought new now.

Cam fail. Lifter fail. Mds fail. Oil pump fail need larger volume for this motor. Valve stem seal fail. Plastic coolant line fails Engine mount fails. Oil in the inlet manifold fail. Runs too hot radiators fail short life. Fuel consumption is one of the worst on the road if not the worst. All the electronics and yet the valve train fail rarely shows up as a problem code, some cars engines blow up. Here in Australia parts are 3 x the price of what they should be, the government got involved at one point. We love our Hemis in Australia but there life & reliability is that of a Russian car from the 1960s

@@RossReviewsau as i have a bad left knee was actually considering an auto for the HSV and not a manual...lol
@@conkolovouris6393 got rid of a vf for a srt. If you have a crook knee, you will appreciate the Jeep's extra height. From a dig, these things are hard to beat.
@@marv9820 thanks pal
Just why!! Other motor manufacturers are still making big engine SUV'S so why has the decision been made not to build anymore Jeep Track Hawks or SRT'S.
Ikr the politics around this I’m sure is the answer, emissions or something I’m sure 💀
I always loved these as well. But hey it's a Jeep it will probably break pretty quickly
Maybe 😅
Naa these things things are solid!
Been owning them from 2012 till this date!
It’s a very strong car!I had a GTS and X5M which is way faster than srt but trust me srt is the strongest car between them!
I love these cars! I may lean to the left politically but I’m definitely not a left wing blue haired muppet! I’m a car guy and I love my v8s. Awesome review mate!
We don't need to defend ourselves against people who just have silly statements with no understanding. The EV issue is pushed by big oil and gas to avoid people looking at the real emissions issues.
Totally agree with you. Nothing wrong with electric cars but much much prefer internal combustion. Just wish it was more the free market that decides if we should push for electric cars rather than government policies
Great car, their only issue for me is their crap towing capacity. This for me is why a used merc GL63 is a great buy.
That’s a fair call I didn’t actually look up there rating lol I was more focused on the launch control 🤣
3.5 tonne towing is more than enough @RossReviewsau
dang this is lowkey my dream car and i wanted to start saving and try to buy it a year out of high school (2 years)... do yall think a 2018 JGC srt will still be under 40k in about 2 years
I think for a 5 speed you can pick one up quite cheap then.. but for a later model with low kms I fear these are only going to go up in price in the next couple years
Sensational! I just went and bought one 😂
Good for you! Nice buy
Nice.
But so wish they would send some Hellcats to Australia
Ikr 😫😫😫😫
send over 2 utes I'll trade ya a widebody 😭
@@neon697 I wish. 😂🤣🤔😢
Falcon and Holden utes are cheap af here.
@@jman4652 sucks we never ended up getting the ute or the wagon, the ute was supposed to be released in 2010 as the "G8 ST" and the wagon was going to be called the "G8 SportWagon" the but died when Pontiac died that year :(
@@neon697 sad.. shame you guys didnt get the ford falcons, there better then holdens 🤣
Definitely RIP to the V8 a what a shame.
Bloody left wing greenies!
Love this review what a beast of a car. Never late in a big V8
Your never late in this beast that’s for sure eh
I believe the 2023 track hawk still has the 707 hp hellcat motor .
Let’s pray brother!
When are they going to stop putting these V8s in them?
Beast 🔥🔥i love mine
Epic machines
Excalty why I have two... both me and my wife have 1 each fell in love with them from day 1 both purchased from new an 2013 srt8 hemi and an 2020 srt8 supercharged track...... if u guess who drives what ill send u an srt8 hat we get custom made free!! 🤷
that's the way mate! lucky man to have a wife like that! let me guess she's riding the supercharged one! haha
It’s a shame the automotive industry is going through such a great transition and I never got to buy my dream car smh
“Great” I wouldn’t use that word to describe the transition.. it’s sad to see these amazing machines die off one by one
@@RossReviewsau i meant it as in "big" and it sure is
they fucked up more by changing the body style of the grand cherokee shit looks horrible now
Srt8 was fire 🔥 I don’t mind this look either tho
Keeping mine for sure!
Good man
Love these cars easiest the maddest suv on the road
Straight up eh! Only the Trackhawk can beat it
hows the fuel economy
18-20 L/100km around town...12-13 highway
Marvs comment is spot on
What fuel economy? 🤣
Jeep is dead. Why would I buy one. I WAS considering it too. My friend has Trackhawk and I was interested in an SRT. From now it's, "Jeep? That like a Taurus right? No I don't want that garbage."
Were they successful though? I think ML63's etc sell more. Probably less electrical issues too.
Definitely nothing like that on the road beside x5m's and the gle63s and g63s....
I think they were very successful! Been in production since 2006.. lots on the road.
Im so confused with whats a hellcat, scat, redeye etc..
Trim levels / engines
I have a 6.0 ls Monte Carlo ss cam and heads and we eat srt’s for breakfast😂
I’d be surprised off the line but look at the size of these too
Didn’t if you heard they are making a performance jeep for 2024
Not with a V8 tho
Love your political rant. Made me love this channel even more!! America, F yeah! HAHA
Unfortunately the new Charger etc are electric 😡 so hope the TT V6 Petrol is correct. At least we have some people making cars great again
Cheers Lawrence 🤣 I’m a petrol head, pisses me off we are loosing all the great engines.. let’s hope the twin turbo 6 is still good
if it's auto I'm not interested.
get a manual.
Manual SUV? Lol the paddle shift is nice tho
I subscribed when you made fun of liberals. Love it! This and the track hawk are my favorites. I have a jeep Grand Cherokee overland and absolutely love it. Can't wait to upgrade!
🤣 glad you enjoyed that comment brother
I wonder if it's the same engine as the trackhawk...slap a supercharger on it !!
And leave the internals stock, risky business 😬.
Different engine.
The 6.4ltr doesn't take well to boost - the rings sit too high on the piston. Forge the bottom end and boost away! The 6.4ltr is also prone to cam/lifter failure - fit a MDS delete kit before that happens. How do I know all of this - been there done that LOL
It’s a different engine I believe but man it’s one hell of a unicorn that trackhawk 🥵😈😫
Love my SRT Jeeps
Awesome vehicle 👌
Is this a trackhwark
Let’s go Brandon. 😁😁😁
✊
Lol, love it, ive got a 6.1 insane
Great motor 😮💨
It has a horrible note is sounds like its constipated and needs to Shart....
I like em.. you can always put an exhaust on

392 Hemis are 🍋 lemons
Here in Australia the importer Jerp FCA now Stellantis have side stepped most warranty claims since 2014, leaving 90+% of owners with an 18kAUD or 13kUSD repair bill:
Piston ring lan fail.
Cam fail.
Lifter fail.
Mds fail.
Oil pump fail need larger volume for this motor.
Valve stem seal fail.
Plastic coolant line fails
Engine mount fails.
Left wing blue haired muppets 🤣😂 love it👍
🤣🤣🤣 damn fairies 🧚♀️
😁
It’s a shame they are junk
I don’t think so.. tho 99% of jeep is
Amazing vehicle, but it sure does have a target on it for degenerate thieves.
Definitely I’m the states
lol America reminded me of The other guys lol
i have a 2012 with a bored out Mopar crate engine to 500hp, timing change broke on my orig engine at 74k miles, fuck Jeep/dodge
Gotta pay to play
Honestly ,i don't get the purpose of these cars.
You can't track them.
And you can't take them off road.
I appreciate what they are,.but it doesn't make sense.
Drive one and you will feel it 😎💪
