Richard is such an interesting character, he has such a burden on his hands, despite being such a patriot he nearly tore his own country apart with his own hands. Its easy to miss but the intelligence division was the best of the best in the Liberl army, they took in the cream of the crop and he dragged them down the wrong path. He is skilled and he knows it and now he fears his own skills, that his ability and talent could be warped against what he loved so much (a very weissman thing to do). That he can find a path for himself can only ever be a good thing The jaeger corps kevin encountered were the Nothern jaegers
Feel like maybe Richard’s biggest downfall was just his hero worship of Cassius… and feeling like he didn’t measure up by comparison… And that kind of shaped his obsession with finding something super powerful to strengthen Liberl. I just wonder how much of the coup was inevitable and how much was because of Weismann’s machinations. If he hadn’t planted the idea of an ultimate weapon right beneath the castle in Richard’s head, would he still have instigated the coup? Because the fervor and determination was all Richard… Or could he have found a different way to protect Liberl? Now he’s gone from believing only one person could ever make a difference to asking the others for help and working together with everyone to accomplish their goals... 🥹 Seems like quite a few of those who followed him are working for his company now, though. And even those who aren’t still believe in his vision… but that probably just piles more guilt onto his conscience… 🥺 Uh oh. So many jaeger corps…
