Just to let you know, I think your video was perfectly paced and showed enough of the "nitty gritty", but not so much that it was boring. Some channels start a new survival world and within 10 minutes they say "I am going to go do this and that" and there is a video cut, when they come back a second later in video time, they are deck out in fully enchanted armour, a Lure II fishing rod and an efficiency 4 diamond pick axe in their inventory and say, "oh yeah, you know, I did some stuff". Thumbs up to you! I hope you keep doing this series.

Love the Vid. Nice chill vibes. Just an fyi in case you didn't know you can now lead boats. Idk if you had one yet. but if you lead the boat with him in it you can then drag the boat, and the boat will follow you over the terrain without you having to be in the boat.
A really good interim food source while you wait for your crops to grow is right next to your house: the river. Salmon are a continually spawning and replenishing food supply, with a nice, high saturation level.
@@TaterVater5 If you don't have a rod (or not a very good one) you can even just whack the salmon with a sword or axe...or even just fisticuffs! 😅 They'll keep respawning for you, so you'll always be fed. You, and any dogs or cats you might befriend, too~🥰

Definitely a fan of the staircase, the color scheme reminds me of tree roots. You should build the stairs coming of each side like roots and line the stairs with leaves 🍃

Finally, we all felt that nostalgic feel from OG minecraft, After the updates after 1.16 or maybe 1.18 minecraft and content gamers got ridiculously competitive about who does what first or "what hasn't been done yet". And the only reason I subscribed was because I saw a competent player who isn't making minecraft "hyped". I'm also not a fan of Huge automatic farms it kinda kills the purpose of feeling like your "surviving". My only exception is xp farms to mend your tools lol. I'd love to see your world develop. W first Episode and Amazing first build for the series! :)
Not sure if you’ll see this and I know you already have other videos in this world already but I saw it and can’t unsee it now. The tree that your base is connected to where it sits just on top of the canopy might make a cooler place to have your stair case down so that you can Add multiple platforms onto your main tree 😅

it's great to see you posting again! great episode! for that really close tree closer to the river i suggest a small watch"tower". since most of your builds are gonna need 5-6 blocks from the trunks of the trees having two large builds hanging off the trees like that would look too heavy to that side. but if you put a small watch platform for mob control at night then it could add a little bit to the tree line and story wise gives a spot away from your front steps to attract mobs and kill them. could even be something like slab floor and then a row of fences around it floating over the edge? with trapdoors as an overhang to keep the rain off during watch?
Excited for this series reminds me of the good OG Lets Plays from back in the day, nowadays all you see is 100 days and Hardcore, Enjoyed the video tho bro! I just started my channel and Im doing a similar style Lets Play I'm sure ur vids will inspire me :P

Once you get a soul sand you could build a 3x3 tree with a water elevator to make getting up a bit faster.

Yep that's the plan, along with generous use of lanterns. Working on moss stuff just isn't priority yet.
