I love seeing modern reviewers discuss stories like this in-depth :) Crawford's vampire story "For the Blood Is the Life" is wonderful too, although "The Screaming Skull" didn't do it for me (and nor did its insultingly loose film adaptation).

This is my favorite ghost story! Found it when I was young and traveled a lot for work! I'm always looking for a vintage portmanteau travel luggage that will satiate my idea of what he was talking about in the story! Vintage luggage is quite expensive! 😂
My point is a single story has shaped my behavior for years and still is! 😂 Good stuff!
