- In this video I finally get around to rescuing my old Harbor Freight (Central Pneumatic) air compressor. Originally, I thought the issue was a bad reed valve but that didn't sort the issue. In the end replacing the thermal overload switch (circuit breaker) sorted out the issue and got my compressor up and running again.

I had the same problem. Tried the valves like you did. It was the thermo switch. I ordered one but while waiting just bypassed it. That was a few years ago. New switch is still in the box lol. I really only use it for filling car tires these days so it’s not going to overheat filling up one cycle.
