    Loni is so right. I hate those labels. Alpha. Beta. Why is it ok for the man to be the alpha but when a woman is one she is seen in a negative way. That is what I am always hearing and seeing about these labels. If we are betas then we are most likely seen as being weaker. I think these labels need to stop and are so outdated. This is just an old school way of thinking and we need newer and better ways. I like what loni said about changing for each other. It keeps each other equal and there’s no issue or competition.

      It’s ok for men to be alpha because those are the men that most women want to be with and most men look up too and take seriously. Women don’t want or respect a man they consider to be a beta just look at all these people calling there husbands beta. How many times have you seen a men say my wife is the beta of our family and I love it. Never because we want women to be feminine and submissive.

      Because its natural for a man to be Alpha and many women find that attractive. (mind you, I'm not talking about abusive gym rats but confident men who have their work, health, and personal relationships in balance). Alpha traits in men attract women, but Alpha traits in women don't attract men. The opposite is true, softness, weaknesses, vulnerability and relying on others is more of a feminine trait, it attracts men but women in general aren't attracted to such a man and such men are viewed negatively.

    I think what these ladies are forgetting is that alpha men (mainly guys with money) are able to attract younger/ pretty women who are willing to be compliant to their demands in exchange for granting them “access” to their assets (ie via gifts etc).
    On the other hand a lot of independent / self sufficient women aren’t willing to settle for a man who isn’t at or above their “level” in terms of looks and wealth etc. I don’t necessarily think that men are intimidated of “alpha” women (ie women with money). I’m pretty sure that some men stay away from alpha women because they know that if they were with one- they’d probably get dominated, have minimal say on thing and not be able to benefit from their female partners wealth and so forth because in society men are suppose to be the “providers” and those who are unable to are often frowned upon.

    I don’t believe in the alpha/beta argument when it comes to relationships. What I’ve noticed is that opposites truly attract, and the people I’ve seen in those relationships have sustained the long game because it is always interesting. When you are with someone who is exactly like you, it’s not exciting. Because what are you gaining from that relationship that is new? Nothing. So having someone who can offer a give/take in a sense and introduce you to a different point of view in life is what counts. I think of this all the time when I hear people say that their husband or wife was the complete opposite of what they typically go for. So I don’t think it’s about dominance rather a mutual respect and understanding of the differences you share.

      This is true, but you’re not acknowledging that most men and women are basically opposites. Women, by large, are more agreeable, soft spoken, dependant, overtly emotional, meek, submissive, etc. Men are stronger, more independent, better leaders, emotionally closed off, less nurturing (towards children), etc.
      You see, gender roles have always and will always continue to exist. What I as a guy cannot stand is when women lie and say they want a man who’s “in touch with their feminine side”, or “an equal relationship”. Women don’t actually want that. How can a person who instinctively sees you as a protector, provider, leader, and primary breadwinner/decision maker possibly want to be “equal” to you. Women want a man who is more masculine than she is, and these traits are masculine.

U gotta be on the same frequency and everything like Obama and Michelle, The Clinton’s, John Legend and his wife. Ciara and her husband. They must be heading in the same direction like a river. Or else you’re settling like 99% of failed, nowhere marriages and relationships.

    The only one of these women who is actually an alpha female is Jeannie. Everyone else is beta. And the only reason why Jeannie is so much more submissive now is because she found her alpha match in her current husband. That is what happens when an alpha female meets an alpha male. They relinquish control because of the respect that they have for their alpha male. And a relationship with a beta does not yield the same level of respect, as evidenced by Jeannie’s first marriage. Loni and Garcelle are not alphas, they have just been hurt too many times in life and it has hardened them. Adrienne is not an alpha, she’s just a NYer. There’s a difference between being a strong, intelligent and confident woman vs. being an alpha woman.

    • @signalfire15
      @signalfire15 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@yonce2347 No, I think Adrienne is a beta female married to an alpha male. I think Adrienne doesn’t really understand what an alpha / beta is. She thinks because Israel is nice, soft spoken, and is super considerate of her feelings that he is beta but those qualities have nothing to do with being a beta. Those are things any person would do for someone they love. Alpha / beta is purely about leadership and mental strength. Israel is the leader of his home with Adrienne. He is the mentally strong one. He will take charge in all areas that he deems important enough to take charge in. A lot of women mistakenly believe that they are married to a beta male because their husbands are “easy going” with things like where they go to dinner or what they wear, etc but thats because most men don’t care about minor things like that. However, an alpha male, when it comes to his values, and things that are important to him and his home, he will put his foot down and take charge. And that seems like Israel to me. This is going strictly off of my observation of them though and things Adrienne has said about their marriage on the show. I don’t know them personally.

    Can we stop saying men are “afraid” and “intimidated” just because they have a PREFERENCE? Gets on my nerves. If a man has a preference for a more submissive woman, then to each their own! I personally have a preference for an Alfa male, that doesn’t mean im intimidated to date a beta male , it’s just my preference. 🙄

      @virginia4766 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think it matters why they are attracted to that though. Is it to manipulate the woman? To have control over her, to abuse her?

    • @rafaeljohnson6220
      @rafaeljohnson6220 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@virginia4766 all women of all types have a chance of getting abused so that’s not true. Who cares why are we attracted to those women. What we are attracted to is none of your business. I don’t see women getting shamed for waiting a man who is 6 feet who makes 6 figures even though almost nobody meets those requirements but the second a men wanted a feminine women who is submissive it’s a problem.

      He should go and find that type of woman. Problem is, people want women to stop being who they naturally are so they can appeal to men. That's not the answer either.

    • @agathachris9722
      @agathachris9722 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. "Oh! Weak men can't handle me!" "He wanted a doormat that cleaned and cooked!" If some men want women who are housewives or more submissive and softer, that's their preference. If I or any woman can have a long list of what we want from men, men can have preferences too.

    I think having those alpha qualities in your workplace and home life setting up your home your domain and sanctuary is necessary in some cases. You need to pull those qualities out in your work environment to thrive. It's true women we have layers. It's like having 6 to 10 people you have to turn into to get the job done yet it's one you. It's hard to describe it's like we know how to switch it on, adapt, and change.

    I dont think its an alpha woman thing anymore. I think thats most of us modern women's problem. We're way too independent and not only that most of us dont know how to listen in a relationship. Not do what our man says but 'listen' in general. Men always wanna not even argue because it'll turn into a fight cause we always got something to say cause we always have to be right😅 men love to feel valued, needed. I think some of these men need to get with the program though. They shouldnt be intimidated, or emasculated. Beta males and Omega males are the best period. For real haha. Too bad there arent much of em left it seems like...

    Sense the alpha term have masculinity traits, and women want to be masculine when they want to , then let me as man be feminine when I want to , let me wear a dress , lip stick & heels out in public but when I come home I take it off and become masculine again. and notice I never said I was gay , I just wanted to wear lip stick and a dress because I wanted to. You guys think my girl will still want me if she knew I was doing these things? And that's how men look at alpha females. and if we can agree that women and men are not the same then you can agree that a woman attractivness is different from a man's attractiveness so you can not say this example is not the same. NOT DISAGREEING OR AGREEING WITH THE VIDEO BUT GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS.
