2:28. Never seen this mentioned anywhere, but when bats float around, not attacking you, just whistle. They come right away. Link's whistle is also a great way to get an emey's attention, like waking a sleeping Hynox. NOTE : The reason to get the bats to attack you is simple ; yesterday I was fighting a Guardian when three big stal popped up, three giant blue bubbles joined them, and a few seconds later bats arrived ... I could have reduced the party by two bats - had I seen them
Definitely worth mentioning that you'll want to have that Sheika Armor set on at all times when farming those bugs & frogs or else they're going to run from you as soon as you get near them, but with the Sheika Armor set they will stay put as long as you're not sprinting. You can be at full walking speed & they won't budge an inch.
Wearing metal in a thunderstorm while wearing the upgraded rubber suit is hilarious, especially in battle. You're basically a walking giant bomb. You won't be harmed by the lightning, but the enemies around you will.
Great collection of tips :). Rain also makes fish nearly deaf. When it's raining in Akkala, head to the base of the 3 Akkala falls. Jump in with your Zora armor and you can pick up dozens of fish easily. Just swim around and pick them up - you don't even need to dash.
I start at the top in Zoras domain and swim with the current collecting all the fish on the way down of course getting out of the water when I need to replenish my stamina 😉
I never got around to playing BotW until very recently although I’ve had the game for ages sitting next to my Switch. I just got busy between work and a toddler and the older kids. Id always picked up games that seemed less of an undertaking like Pokémon. I just finished a huge work project and I’m ready to give in to BotW before TotK comes out. Guess I hadn’t realized it had been 5 years lol I’m so happy and grateful to have your videos. They’re less intimidating than all the other ones I’ve seen, especially with younger people just showing off more than explaining. And they’re all so loud for some reason lol. I appreciate you being so active, explaining so clearly and being welcoming and understanding of newer players. ❤
An alternative way to build the fire is to drop a torch on top of the wood after you've set the fire. They never burn up and stay lit, so when you skip forward in time, it stays lit and relights the fire.
@@enoweder I’ve played the game so many times but this time around things have happened that’s never happened before. When I picked up the sledgehammer at Hateno Fort it had +60 attack totaling at a mighty 72! With that I took out most stone talus 3 hits at the most. 👍🏻😀
I wish i were in your situation 😂 You can now play the game for half a year and just when it starts to get "boring" comes the sequel, which I think/hope will be even better than one could ever imagine. Thats a really long period of happiness…
I honestly just try to find the right Beetle locations at stables selling the insects. Once you’ve gotten used to fighting talus and farm their drops, purchasing them is easier. Though granted you only get 3 and certain insects are wild only.

When satori mountain is lit up bright. There's a huge tree with a lot of beetles, plus so many stock pile items surrounding the top. Use stasis, everything is lit.

My first playthrough I fought everything ... Imagine my first blood moon ! This current playthrough I'm either avoiding everyone, or sneaking up for quiet kills - despite being so much better at BotW fighting Lynels are the ones I still can't master, so I'll be using Sherry's advice soon

Kind of obvious, but Thundara Plateau is an amazing place to gather those rain only insects as it's perpetually thunderstorming there & there are constant swarms of these insects & frogs all over that area. Just keep in mind that once you solve the shrine puzzle & complete the shrine the thunderstorm will stop for good, so farm beforehand.
On the bomb arrow location I always do a save on the game and then load that game and then you can collect about 15 bomb arrows at a time. Thanks for all the tips. Iove your videos .

Very nice and useful tips, especially with the bomb arrows! Tho, i noticed you were using Forest Dweller bow. .. those are incredibly rare, and limited - they never respawn. There's like 3-5 bows in the entire game, including the shrine quest in korok forest; which you can only keep the first time. Just in case you like collecting those.

@@WTF-Gaming Nice, I heard there was a respawning Forrest Dweller's Bow but I didn't know where. I think there are only a few Forrest Dweller's Swords though, and they never respawn. Same with the Kite Shield - once they're gone, they're gone.

Haven't played this game in about 2 yrs. Will take a while to get back into it.....remembering the multiple controls and basic stuff, because I've just been playing GTA, Red Dead Redemption 2, Train Sim World 3, various Lego games, but I have delved back into Zelda Skyward Sword from Scratch, the dungeons are real brain teasers ....gonna play Twilight Princess coming up to Christmas 🎄 too....Cheers from Galway City Ireland 🇮🇪 ☘🥶
You can also just toss a bomb right into the center of a keese swarm to take out a whole mess of them at once for free. Just wait til they are charging at you to do so, so they can get in close for that bomb throw. They won't harm you as long as you detonate before the swarm hits you.
That's what's amazing about this game is that I've been playing it off and on for 6 years now since day one release and just when I thought I had seen it all there's lots of items and techniques I hadn't discovered yet. I can't think of any other Action/RPG that's packed with this much content. To think...Tears Of The Kingdom will be out in two months lol 😇

The rain never bothered me, without it, would the world feel so alive? Yeah, climbing sucked when it started raining, but there is always 100 ways to do the same thing in BoTW so it really was/is a non issue :) great vid.
Loving this game and your tips and tricks are awesome and so helpful. It is kinda frustrating that when you aren’t great at combat you need armour, but that armour can only be upgraded with monster parts. If I could kill these monsters I wouldn’t need the armour!!!😂
Another tip that may help is you can always get temporary hearts by cooking up hearty durian, or anything with the word hearty in it, sometimes stamina is more important than hearts… keep at it you will get it!
Are there any tips or tricks to defeating the divine beasts easily? Ive been procrastinating on getting them done.. im starting with vah ruta first if that matters.
I appreciate the arrows tips, but honestly I’ve never not been so low on rupees to have to farm arrows. There’s very little you’re “required” to buy with rupees. I very rarely have less than 20,000 rupees, and usually 50,000+ plus so I just buy arrows. Otherwise there’s not much to spend rupees on. Great tips though!
Hey, can you like. Do a TH-cam shorts on the rain stealth? Because you we wearing the sneaky set in addition to rain so we couldn't hear the difference.
I'm trying out the bomb arrow farming. It appears it can't be a light rain, you have to wait for a hard rain. I got blowned up real good a few times and it was definitely rain, just not hard enough I guess. :)
A Level 1 sneaky elixir probably isn't that useful honestly. You'll want a Level 3 one for that. Or just wear the Sheika armor set as it gives an automatic Level 3 sneak buff at all times, not to mention a Level 1 speed boost at night time once upgraded to Level 2.
No they are still bomb arrows, and if it stops raining, it’s quite a bit of explosions 🤣 that’s why you want to wait for the rain so they don’t explode😉
@@WTF-GamingI always choke. I’ve failed so many times, now, that I get anxiety just thinking about it. I can’t even imagine succeeding. That’s a horrible way to feel about your favourite game. So, even though I continue to improve in the rest of the game, I still make the same stupid mistakes in ToTS.
You can also run away until you can’t see the enemies anymore and run back… But I just found it easier to build a fire because you have to wait on the rain
@@WTF-Gaming True, but I imagine that is probably slower/more effort. Just saying that there is an easy alternative if ya need it. Save scumming has been a staple of gaming for many years lol, may as well abuse it.
@@skins4thewin yes I do this hunting for cores or just random things in general, but I think I found it much easier to just sit by a fire to be able to get the rain, saving to me, seems like it took longer and having to do it each time until you could finally get rain it just seems a lot easier to sit by the fire😉
@@WTF-Gaming Well once it's raining it'll still be when you reload your save, so no worries there. But ya, whatever way works best for you. There's always more than one way to skin that cat.
I found a glitch or for claming in the rain. I call it the mountain goat walk. I would look at the deep parts of the wall or mountain summit climbing and do a little walk run like the horse and goats do! It works for me! But not on everything but a lot of the places. I accidentally found out how to do that when I was trying to save my horse. Cuz I didn't have anything to fight with and wasn't near a stable. And my horse just did a Ziggy or wiggle clamb and she got up there pretty fast and not dead. Cuz I was so lost. I then just tried copying the horse and goats!
I've debated describing the sideways walk / stand still for a *brief* second, to regain up to a full wheel of stamina, but this might be hard for people to understand (because I'm not sure how to explain it simply)
This is good to know, right now feels like it rains all the time on my game 🥲 oh! so you can survive a lightning strike, I just need a bunch of hearts lol

That’s actually because Akkala is somehow affected by Vah Ruta even if you defeated it.

I use cryonis to go up the falls and into Zoras domain without fighting my way up.
I start at the top in Zoras domain and swim with the current collecting all the fish on the way down of course getting out of the water when I need to replenish my stamina 😉

No, it doesn’t actually stop for good… You can build a fire and make it rain😉 this is where I go, gather tireless, frogs usually Electric darners etc

😂I did the same thing when I first started playing!
It is the heat that explodes the bomb arrows use ice or electric arrows.
I feel like every time I use them, something goes wrong. Either I'm cursed, or they are ^^
Quick tip : I just don't use them anymore lol

You can hook a high level sneaky elixir by adding silent princess - Hyrule master chef

Just started playing this game and I hate the rain and enemies. I'm trying to do as many shrines as possible to build health. It is very challenging
Another tip that may help is you can always get temporary hearts by cooking up hearty durian, or anything with the word hearty in it, sometimes stamina is more important than hearts… keep at it you will get it!
Are there any tips or tricks to defeating the divine beasts easily? Ive been procrastinating on getting them done.. im starting with vah ruta first if that matters.

I appreciate the arrows tips, but honestly I’ve never not been so low on rupees to have to farm arrows. There’s very little you’re “required” to buy with rupees. I very rarely have less than 20,000 rupees, and usually 50,000+ plus so I just buy arrows. Otherwise there’s not much to spend rupees on. Great tips though!

I'm trying out the bomb arrow farming. It appears it can't be a light rain, you have to wait for a hard rain. I got blowned up real good a few times and it was definitely rain, just not hard enough I guess. :)
I always hated the rain when I was climbing in breath of the wild when I was playing

A Level 1 sneaky elixir probably isn't that useful honestly. You'll want a Level 3 one for that. Or just wear the Sheika armor set as it gives an automatic Level 3 sneak buff at all times, not to mention a Level 1 speed boost at night time once upgraded to Level 2.
So those Orcs will only shoot bomb arrows in the rain? Once it stops raining, do they become regular arrows?
No they are still bomb arrows, and if it stops raining, it’s quite a bit of explosions 🤣 that’s why you want to wait for the rain so they don’t explode😉
If they explode you can’t collect them

So, even though I continue to improve in the rest of the game, I still make the same stupid mistakes in ToTS.

You don't have to build a fire each time the Bomb Arrows stop spawning. You can simply save & then load the save & they will start to spawn again.
You can also run away until you can’t see the enemies anymore and run back… But I just found it easier to build a fire because you have to wait on the rain
@@WTF-Gaming True, but I imagine that is probably slower/more effort. Just saying that there is an easy alternative if ya need it. Save scumming has been a staple of gaming for many years lol, may as well abuse it.
@@skins4thewin yes I do this hunting for cores or just random things in general, but I think I found it much easier to just sit by a fire to be able to get the rain, saving to me, seems like it took longer and having to do it each time until you could finally get rain it just seems a lot easier to sit by the fire😉

I found a glitch or for claming in the rain. I call it the mountain goat walk.
I would look at the deep parts of the wall or mountain summit climbing and do a little walk run like the horse and goats do! It works for me! But not on everything but a lot of the places. I accidentally found out how to do that when I was trying to save my horse. Cuz I didn't have anything to fight with and wasn't near a stable. And my horse just did a Ziggy or wiggle clamb and she got up there pretty fast and not dead. Cuz I was so lost.
I then just tried copying the horse and goats!
I've debated describing the sideways walk / stand still for a *brief* second, to regain up to a full wheel of stamina, but this might be hard for people to understand (because I'm not sure how to explain it simply)
