For the recording of Ballad of John and Yoko, Ringo was filming The Magic Christian, and George was either abroad or house hunting. Abroad unlikely since he was busted a month earlier.
Hi David, Yes i knew they were 68 sometime judging by the albums advertised, but I’m not so hot on deep purple releases, lol ! Clearly John & Paul were very capable even with George & Ringo out of the picture , i often wonder how they felt about not being on the recording? Thanks for watching!

Hello again Dave! As usual, impressive collection! I have some of them on the limited brazilian edition on 45rpm. If you ever come across one of these, don't hesitate, as they're the best we ever had (maybe not as good as the UK pressings, but the closest we ever made). It's a good idea to have 7" plastics. They really protect not only the cover, but the vinyl itself. For 7" records, I usually get a combo of outer and inner plastics, the latter having round edges so they won't wrinkle when pushed inside. Thank you for the wonderful video! Absolute delight!

Hello Dave, Once more, a tremendous video ! I really love looking at those last few Parlophone variations before the switch to Apple ! It's really rough keeping the white part of the paper sleeves truly white, however. That non-glossy paper can really yellow if it's not well stored. As usual, you have some true and rare gems in your presentations ! Hope you're doing well and see you again soon !

Hi, Dave. This is a fabulous collection of 45s, and in proper outer sleeves. Beatles 45s are quite tremendous, considering the amount of incredible tracks they recorded in really a short amount of time. So their 45s have wonderful A and B sides. With so many great track choice to pick from, I wonder what criteria they used to pick the songs that would compliment the decision of an A and B side? Question for Beatle Dave: Where did you acquire so much information for each description on all your videos, background info to smoothly narrate your videos? Very enjoyable. Cheers
Hi G, There can’t be many bands who’ve released this amount of quality singles with both A & B sides classic tracks ! They always seemed to go with the most commercial song regardless who came up with it and they would normally vote amongst themselves, but the amount of quality songs they came up with ,must have been a difficult choice! Generally the answer is because the territories they weee being exported didn’t have there own facilities, but that still doesn’t answer the question as to why no apple label used , I’ve searched before but to no avail ! My apple sleeves are the wavy curve cut on both of them, Do i have an early pressing because your copys you can see the printing while you have to look closely to the printing.
