Maitoza is a fuckin monster... Totally underrated drummer. He was a pioneer in metal drumming and I'm sure he rarely gets the creds he so deserves. KEEP FUCKIN EM UP, JOEL! HMS4LYFE!
I had the privilege of jamming on lead guitar with drummer Joel Maitoza when he was a teenager. He was unbelievable. As a drummer, no one could touch that kid. I've jammed with Joey Kramer from Aerosmith and Jeff Grob from Looking Glass and they couldn't adapt to a rhythm change like Maitozal or match his off-beat, syncopation-style playing.
The band broke up in 1998, but reformed in 2003 before releasing their first new album of original material in over a decade in 2006, entitled Face the Day.
