Baby Nwazuma Martha - born 10 October 600 gram, discharge 13 December 1.5. kg

Martha Nwazuma came to Uloanwu Health Center on 7th October with bleeding. They found that she was in premature labour. She was referred to Odeligbo Health Center (AMURT assisted), as they have facilities for preterm babies and resident doctors. Efforts to delay the birth did not succeed and a baby girl was born on the 10th. She weighed only 600 gram at about 27 weeks. She was referred immediately to AEFUTHA hospital in Abakaliki With great efforts of the team at the Newborn Unit, and with full support from AMURT, the baby was stabilized, and started growing. She was finally discharged on the 13th of December at 1.5 kg.
