Hey, don't know it you'll see this, but I would recommend looking at the Fanatec CSL DD R2R set. It's $400 USD and 5nm of force feedback, it's also direct drive. Recommended by the community for beginners. Hope this helps!

@@thesimracingshaolinstudent I'm on Xbox. Also I play PS5, but it's impossible to find device which I can use on both platform. So I chose Xbox as my main platform
I'm on a super tight budget, is there any point on jumping on lower price range products as the Logitech product you mentioned? I have few friends who has that logitech 9XX series and they say it is good. I have done some reseach on lower price range products and HORI racing wheel and pedals have shown up in few times. What would you recommend? I play mainly on PC + I have Xbox one, so I am thinking of sticking with something compatible with both.
I wana get a wheel with pedals and it needs the clutch pedal at least and prefrebly with a H pattern but my budget isn't huuuge so it's hard to find a decent set might go with the g923 and ditch force feedback

Hi. I'm looking to buy a wheel+pedals on a very tight budget but still can't decide despite having limited options. I'm hoping you can help me pick from a few or recommend something else or tell me what to avoid etc Budget is around £150. I haven't owned a wheel since the g27 in 2010 and that was probably the best/most expensive wheel Ive owned. Before that I had lots of low end/early FFB wheels including driving force pro, driving force GT, EX etc, and some early fanatec and guillemot wheels plus a few more I've probably forgotten. Now I'm looking to get something to use on PC (Xbox or Ps comparability would be a bonus) in assetto Corsa and project cars mainly. Nothing serious, no multiplayer for now. Decent windows 10 compatibility is important if I buy an older wheel. I was considering a Thrustmaster T128 or possibly a T150 pro, something like a g29/920 or even the old driving force pro/GT again. Clutch pedal would be a bonus as would a H shifter but not a total deal breaker. I'd consider an older g27 or even g25 but am unsure about win10 support. Can you help me narrow it down or point me at anything else to consider? 1 thing I'm really unsure about... Belt drive, gear or direct drive (if theres any DD in my budget) or even hybrid like the t128... 1 of the first FFB wheels I ever had was amazing at really fine low amplitude feedback to the point where I could feel every bit of gravel on the edge of the track etc... it was so detailed. That was on a really old fanatec or guillemot wheel which I think was belt driven using old sims like rfactor when it was still being developed and LFS (live for speed) in 2002/2003 (yes I'm old 😂). No wheel ive owned since that has felt as good, as they didn't seem quite so accurate in the subtle feedback details. Does it sound like I'm looking for a belt system or geared or hybrid? I'm so confused on what to get. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻
It sounds like you’re looking for the best you can buy for that budget. If you can save a bit more that would really help you too. Second hand market will be your friend for sure 👍🏻
@@thesimracingshaolinstudentThanks 👍🏻 yeah I'm definitely going with 2nd hand. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the G29/920 or the t150 pro. Does one stand out over the other or is it personal preference on the buttons etc? Are those 2 wheels about on par with each other or is 1 clearly better than the other? And is there another wheel in that price range which I'm overlooking? I could possibly stretch to some sort of t300 if it's considerably better than t150p or G29? Thanks again for the help 🙏🏻
Hey sorry for the delay. Did you pull the trigger on either of these yet? I've not owned either so can't really say but from what I'm reading the G29 is preferred over the T150. Let me know what you decide to go with. 🙏
The more I watch about these bundles the less I know what one I wanna go with. I’ve tried my buddies setup and it was pretty fun so I wanna get my own but I don’t want a Logitech like him. I’m going to use it to drift primarily and then racing secondly so genuinely any thoughts? Has your opinion changed in 6 months?
You can’t go wrong with Moza or Fanatec in my opinion. I can highly recommend those. Yes there are other manufacturers like Simagic and Asetek which if you have the money initially are also great options. But for beginners unless money is no object I’d recommend Fanatec or Moza. The only other thing I would add is try to skip a belt drive or gear driven base and go straight to a direct driven one. Good luck 👍🏻
They are pretty much the exact same. The gt edition comes with a 3rd pedal (clutch). The no gt edition just has breaks and accelerator. As a proud owner of the gt edition (and psvr2 racer on gt7), the clutch pedal isn't necessary at all. The t300 has paddle shifters, completely negating the need for a clutch pedal lol That being said, I did pick up a gear shift and use it with the clutch pedal when I want to practice driving without the paddles (paddles are significantly easier to use).
The elite CSL is a belt driven wheel base and given the prices for the entry level DD wheelbases I would say it's not worth it, no. If you can you want to be aiming for a direct drive wheelbase. 👍🏻
Personally I wouldn’t recommend them given there are so many better options available. Good luck with your purchase. Let me know what you decide to get.
