    I don't even play Tekken:
    However, everything you said in this video resonates SO true with me. I'm here from a real world martial arts perspective and you laid out every difficulty and issue that I have had in finding and keeping training partners.
    Amazing mentality and spirit as always Eileen. Much love and respect. ❤✌️

    Also I love when people who are better than me beat me and message me tips on the matchup , (I’m in yellow ranks btw), they’d message “use lows more” or “that’s a command grab learn to break by looking at arms” and even a hwo player told me the strings he used AND which ones were duckable 🤯 I also found out I can ss most of them but it’s still dope he was willing to tell me to duck and punish

    I have a friend who I've tried to be a training partner to for years, but they kill the mood with negativity when they lose. It makes me feel bad for learning to be better. I've come to accept they don't actually care about improving despite me bending over backwards with patience and thought out feedback. I need a rival who cares to improve, win or lose. Thank you for this breakdown of what a rival is.

    • @sdotyes
      @sdotyes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its part of the game them getting mad is good because it means they are actually emotionally involved and actually care

    • @Jamal.O
      @Jamal.O 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sdotyes It's much more then getting mad with them. They have no patience at all when it comes to learning and can't accept they are doing something wrong. Screaming "I'm done with this game" and "f*** this game" without any sort of fun conversation is straight up killing the mood to play with them any further.

    I have two friends that play only with each other. I play mosly online and I learned to beat them. They are stuck with the knowledge of their own tekken but due to this isolation they stopped progressing. Watch out for this other end of the stick.

      at the very least don't put it across the bottom, it covers up or disguises itself as watch time. Red line at the bottom of video thumbnail makes it look like something i've already watched.

      @@TrickyEileenI tried that multiple times and most people that I tried get aggravated with my play and fall off. In a couple instances I sent a friend request and they accept only to call me some foul shit in the lobby and block me. I kinda just gave up and resigned myself to learning on my own.
