I purchased a new B-King in 2008, and loved every mile of the 28k I rode it. It was totaled in an accident in 2013 and I’ve been sulking ever since. It was a funny thing back when it was introduced. No one knew what to think of it. The big magazines loved to hate it, but honestly seemed to be more confused on its intended purpose than anyone. They’d always end up posing it against bikes like the then new generation V-Max... a bike with a COMPLETELY different philosophy of use. In hindsight, Suzuki was bold to put it out there. The economic recession of ‘08 didn’t help Sale’s whatsoever, and by 2009-2010, dealers were begging to sell the remaining 08’s for peanuts. Great bike. Love the channel, the message of Christ and your content. God bless.

The best review of my bike I have seen. I have had it since February 2012. You are right. This makes a good touring bike. I even have a Hepco & Becker Gobi adventure style top case on it, and it looks okay because of the width of the rear end. It is exceptionally stable and what you didn't get over is how tractable the bike is at low speeds. I can ride through a Spanish village, typically about one mile long in top on no throttle opening, the torque is so strong. It has to be the best naked inline four ever made. I have read about owners who have done 80,000 miles and they have never had to shim the valve clearances.
You're going 100 mph at 5,000 rpm in top, just to get things right.
    Your best review so far.

As a B-King owner, I can attest to a few pleasant aspects.
      A: Upright seating position.
      B: Seat itself is comfortable.
C: Controllable fury. Mellow, or Malevolent, your choice.
Lowered pegs, Airhawk inflatable seat cushion, and if wanted a windscreen, make for an exceptional long range rider.
BTW: The ladies love them. The passenger accommodations however; are found wanting.

Back in 1969-1971 I was the staff photographer of Cycleguide and later the editor of Custom Chopper Magazine. In another life, I bought a B King new in 2008, liked it so much I bought a low mileage used second one to customize and make a bit louder. Had custom paint etc, but I usually kept riding the stocker. Actually it's not that wide, and that tank is not the gas tank, it holds the air box. The tank is lower down for better balance and handling. This bike has one feature I always considered important if available. You can stand up straight on it. Nice when you want to stretch or dry off after riding through a rainstorm. The actual performance figures are 0-60 in 2.9, quarter 9.9 @140. I did take it all the way to the governed 158, in fourth of six gears. For some reason, the top end (remember, governed, drops off slightly in 5th and 6th). Then, in a period of insanity I traded them both in on a Slingshot so I could take my wife riding. But I never gave up two wheels, I still ride a Victory Octane at 86 years of age. Now here's bit I'm adding a month later. Both my boys rode my King, loved it, but did not enjoy riding it that much. Reason? They said it was no fun to know you have the fastest bike around and that no one can touch you. Said it was more fun to ride like..my Honda 500 four or something like a Triumph twin. Why? It's fun to have to work to stay ahead or catch another bike. Go figure.

In 2008, I had the choice of the GSF1250/S Bandit or the B-King at my dealership. I chose the Bandit because it was more comfortable ergonomically for me. I wasn't a fan of the tank wings hanging out that I had to fit my knees under. I've had many bikes in my 72 years including the 2001 GL-1800 Gold Wing, the 2007 Triumph Rocket III Classic, 2006 Honda PS-250 Big Ruckus, 2007 Kawasaki KLR-650 & the 2011 Kawasaki 650 Versys, all registered & on the road simultaneously. Now I have only two left; the Bandit & the 2017 Triumph Bonneville Bobber high torque 1200, but I haven't found anything wrong with this pair of 1200's yet. They both keep me giggling inside my helmet when I ride them. I think the Bandit is the best kept secret out there; 150+ mph & 59mpg.

Another best kept secret Barry is the Victory Octane, only made one year, 2017. 1200 ccs 105 horses 525 wet. It goes and it is comfortable. But only one year cause Victory was owned by Indian and they were competing with themselves so bye bye Octane and hello Indian Scout (identical, 5 horses less). I wrote the B king comments topside, but now I have my Octane and I love it. Victory's only liquid cooled bike by the way and also it's fastest.

I remember these B-Kings. I like the looks of it and the presence - it's a beast. Now this becomes a different bike. Not sure if the BKing has the same throttle response as the Hyabusa, but I don't remember the Hyabusa having a ridiculously touchy response like current rockets. I was debating between this and a VMax and I eventually went with the VMax because I couldn't find a B-King that I liked at the time. It is really amazing this bike after all those years has less than 300 miles. I am usually a bit against a bike having too low of a mileage for its age because it's likely to have suffered the 2nd worst thing that can happen to a motorcycle......it was not ridden for long periods and just sat.

I’ve been looking for one of those bikes for almost 3 years now I wish I would’ve been a subscriber to your channel back when you guys first got this bike I would’ve totally bought it there so rare because there wasn’t many of them made where they were a one time thing with the Hayabusa engine. I’ve been a subscriber for almost 8 months now and I love your content and what you guys do I plan on buying a bike off you guys and would love to come see the shop when I do get ready to come buy a bike I’ve been saving up for a while now and trying to find the right one just for me.

Ive got an 08 fz1 and out of all the bikes ive owned its been the most versatile bike ive owned. Its great for long trips and its got more power then your 600 supersport bikes, It handles the corners way better then my ninja 650 did.

Stripple70 If you think that is an oxymoron, then what do you call a Ducati Streetfighter?
And that's not all. Ducati told Bomber Magazine's test rider "No wheelies or burn outs!" Like wft, it's supposed to be a streetfighter.

Tank might look huge but its just plastic. Actual tank only hold 4.4 Gallons (16.5liters). Hayabusa holds more than that. Still an awesome bike though.

Hi guys big fan of the vids, My mate had a Busa and i had a zx6r ninja so we were out 1 day and thought how much faster is the Busa than my Ninja , Well all i can say is we were both doing 70 MPH and said 1-2-3 go in the blink of an eye he was gone i literally thought he had done a turbo without telling me it was THAT FAST in standard guise. Im about to get the 19 model MT07 and turbo it so i will be doing my first youtube vid of buying the bike doing the turbo instal then taking it to my mate who has a dyno keep the vids coming PLEASE as they are SOO GOOD CHEERS SCOOBS UK.

It actually puts about the same to the ground as a Superduke (same torque too) or Tuono but weighs a LOT more and is a lot bigger. It would probably beat either in a drag just due to the weight and length letting it put more down without flipping.

Am I the only one that thinks this sounds like a dish you would order at an Asian restaurant? One B king with fried rice egg roll and hot and sour soup. I have seen a couple B kings and only wanted to buy one if I could modify it's fenders, exhaust, gearing and etc to make it more of a Cafe racer type look.
