    Thank you so much for this! I did NOT want to take my Jeep into Plaza for an oil change- which ran around $170 last time. 😒 I feel empowered that I can definitely do it myself! 👏👏

      $170 for an oil change??? Man I should be charging my friend that lol! Wow! This is probably the easiest oil change you can do on a vehicle! Plus the Jeep is fairly easy to get under. Ramps help but it can be done. Glad this video gave you the confidence to tackle this! 👍 let me know how it goes for you Emily!

      Joanan Vega Hey Joanan, it really is that EASY on those jeeps! I can’t justify paying $75 and up to a dealership for an oil change that’s that simple. Everything is perfectly placed and accessible. And o got the oil for $22 at Walmart. Cheap and Easy! Thanks for watching!

      This is me! And I've done my oil change the past 3 times 😭. When it comes due again, can never find the 8mm socket, oil drain bucket or anything else I bought to re use on the next one, BUT I don't find this out until I've finished buying the filter and oil.. right back I go. Always turn a simple literally 10 minute job (after a couple times doing it) into the hour I would've waited at the shop anyways lmao

      Start up costs are a little high off the bat, but you will save on subsequent oil changes 😉 as you will already have the tools on hand.

    Very clear and concise. I know a lot of folks also use the dipstick to check and ensure it's correct. Never quite understood that if it asks for 6 quarts.. and that's what you gave it.

      @@GarageGear yes, what are they for? Sorry, completely new to this.

    • @GarageGear
      @GarageGear  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh ok good question Nancy! The torque specs are used as accurate numbers of how hard to tighten down a drain plug with a torque wrench. This is not a truly necessary and is really only for those concerned with being very specific. I usually just tighten it down by hand with a socket wrench and just get it nice and snug. Never had any issues with doing it this way and have been doing that for decades. Don’t over tighten it. Just get it snug! Let me know if you have any more questions!👍 you got this!
